Wolfcraft 4522 Tec Mobil Drill Stand

This is a very well made drill guide that works like a charm with the Bosch 1006VSR 3/8" drill. Will not fit most drills, so I encourage you to buy both together. Great for use in situations when a drill press is not practical. I use this to bore straight precise holes for mounting hardware in cabinetry. Has small rubber feet to protect surface and keep drill from slipping.

None of the reviews I saw had the actual dimension of the collar that holds the drill motor in place, so I thought I'd add them. The collar depth should be no more than one inch, or the chuck will probably hit the clamp. The diameter of the collar should be between 1 9/16 and 1 3/4 inch or you'll have to drill or shim the clamp that holds the motor. I used a Makita HP 1640 corded drill, which works fine. I doubt any of the cordless drills will work, although I saw a Milwaukee hammer drill that might. The stand works fine for the price - my drill motor is heavy but the springs worked fine to hold it up while I positioned the bit. It isn't the most rigid platform, but I didn't expect that for this price. If you want high precision, go to the drill press. At the bottom of the range, the chuck on my drill hits the plastic dust collection hood (which works pretty well), but no big deal. Overall, happy with the purchase, and really glad it fit one of my drill motors.

This works well as long as you dedicate a drill to it. The drill mounting hardware is very poorly designed, very awkward to use, and easy to lose parts if you're not careful. Also the dust funnel needs to be modified if you want to use Forstner bits larger than 1/2" - another unnecessarily poor design. If Wolfcraft doesn't improve the design I'm sure some Chinese competitor will.

This is a difficult one to review because this does not fit any of the spindles on my popular brand drills. The concept, however, is great and I wish I could have used this on my project. It is perfect when the project is too big for a drill press. However, the return policy took my by surprise because it required me to pay postage for something that did not work. This is being returned to Great Britain so be ready for Customs declaration forms and $50 postage!! That was a 0 star shock and I will forevermore not order any item sent from outside the U.S.

VERY disappponted with this unit, it is absolutely useless to me and I will be trying to return it. I made the mistake of reading (and believing) another review that recommended this unit, paired with a Dewalt DWD210G 1/2" drill. Since I need to drill some 6"x 6" posts, I bought this thing and the Dewalt DWD210G drill expressly for this job. BIG MISTAKE! The Wolfcraft unit will NOT fit on the available sleeve depth on the body of the Dewalt drill. The Dewalt has approximately 5/8" clear between the face of the drill body and the back edge of the chuck. The clamps on the Wolfcraft are just under 1" wide, so if you clamp it down, you'll be clamping the Wolfcraft to the chuck, not the drill body. Good luck with that! Edit: well I took the Wolfcraft with me and went shopping and located a drill that actually works with this unit: A Ryobi D620H 5/8" drill. Maybe now I can get on with the project! This will only work with drills having a cowling that will fit in the clamping mechanism (<~2" diameter), while still allowing the chuck to turn. Won't work with DeWalt DC717 3/8" or DC970 1/2" drills.

I used this drill stand to drill holes in my workbench. The functionality is good, but the accuracy is a bit sketchy. While in the stand, the drill will wobble a bit, but once drilling a hole, it works quite well.

Just received this item and have already worked several hours with it. I love how its constructed. When tightening the top blue screws the device is solid. I am able to drill exact holes with this device without it moving during the drilling (due to its rubber shoes). I still haven't used it at an angle though. I would have given it 5 stars if it was less pricey.

Les copeaux sont bien aspirés quand on branche l'aspirateur. Bien ajusté à ma perceuse avec collerette de 43 mm / Ne s'adaptera pas aux perceuses sans-fils sauf très rare exception (Einhell), ni au collerette de largeur réduite. Accessoire indispensable à toute perceuse compatible, et pas besoin d'y mettre plus cher

Ich habe den wolfcraft Tecmobil Bohrständer (4522000) vor einigen Wochen gekauft und war angenehm überrascht von seiner Leistung und Qualität. Als Hobby-Heimwerker ist präzises Bohren für mich von größter Bedeutung, und dieser Bohrständer hat meine Erwartungen übertroffen. Der Aufbau des Ständers war einfach und erforderte keine besonderen Fähigkeiten. Die mitgelieferte Anleitung war klar und verständlich. Die Konstruktion fühlt sich solide an und verleiht dem Ständer die nötige Stabilität, um einwandfreies Bohren zu ermöglichen. Die Verstellbarkeit des Bohrständers ist ein echter Pluspunkt. Die Höhenverstellung und die Möglichkeit, den Neigungswinkel anzupassen, ermöglichen es mir, meine Bohrungen genau nach meinen Anforderungen auszurichten. Das war besonders hilfreich bei Projekten, die Präzision erforderten. Ein weiteres Merkmal, das mir gefällt, ist die integrierte Halterung für den Bohrer. Sie hält den Bohrer sicher in Position und minimiert das Wackeln während des Bohrvorgangs, was zu genaueren Ergebnissen führt. Obwohl der Bohrständer in erster Linie für den Heimgebrauch konzipiert ist, hat er sich in meinen Augen als robust genug erwiesen, um auch anspruchsvollere Aufgaben zu bewältigen. Der einzige kleine Kritikpunkt, den ich anmerken würde, ist der Preis. Er hat meine Erwartungen an einen stabilen und präzisen Bohrhelfer erfüllt und bietet ein gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Ich kann ihn jedem Heimwerker empfehlen, der nach einem zuverlässigen und flexiblen Bohrständer sucht.

Dovevo realizzare un foro nel muro per collegare 2 scatole da incasso dell'impianto elettrico tra loro.E siccome il muro che doveva essere attraversato era perpendicolare rispetto al foro (immaginate di forare una T dall'alto verso il basso) avevo la necessità che una volta prese le misure e deciso il punto da forare,il foro fosse il più dritto e parallelo al muro (internamente) possibile: la distanza da forare era di 33cm e una minima inclinazione significava non "centrare" la scatola opposta e/o uscire dal muro rovinosamente da una delle pareti delle stanze adiacenti. Quindi non uno scherzo. Con l'aiuto della colonna per il trapano sono riuscita perfettamente nell'intento. Il foro è riuscito alla perfezione con uno scarto di un mezzo cm, che definirei ottimo. Oltretutto bisogna vedere quanto, muro e parete perpendicolari fra loro, lo fossero veramente. L'attrezzo è solido,dotato di varie regolazioni per irrigidire la struttura. Probabilmente chi si lamenta di eccessivo gioco non ha serrato abbastanza le apposite viti o il trapano non aveva un "colletto" (per le guide/maniglie) adatto. Veramente soddisfatta.
