This magnet seems to be super strong. I'm hoping that once in the right spot on the wheel spoke it will pick up info from the sensor. It was easy to put on, did not need any instructions.

This is a good unit. It uses a rare-earth magnet and screws on to your spoke. It does look a little low-tech, ... but it is after all a magnet screwed on to your spoke. It does it well (and the price is right).

This is similar to the spoke magnet that came with my Garmin cycling computer, which is why I got this specific model. The Garmin model has a rounded notch for attaching to a regular spoke and a flattened notch for attaching to a bladed spoke. This has only the rounded notch - where the garmin has .5mm-ish notch for the bladed spokes, this is just completely flat - and that's good in my opinion. When you really crank down on it, that allows it to grip the spoke better. For bladed spokes, these are nice. The problem is with regular rounded spokes. There is a spoke-like notch that is quite large, and you REALLY have to crank down on it to get it to hold the spoke. Included with this is a small rubber shim that effecively makes the notch smaller, allowing you to either grip harder on a big spoke or grip acceptably on a smaller spoke. I find in reality that it allows you to grip acceptably on a regular spoke, but I've tightened it sooo hard I feel like it's going to snap off sometime soon. It was only three bucks though.
