Good rice
Good rice. I remember I survived 2 months on this packet. I cooked rice in electric kettles for months and that saved my money. The rice quality is also very good

Mogra or basmati rice?
All grains of rice is broken. There was a spoon inside the rice bag. Rice cooks to individual grains with double the amount of rice. However it does not have the aroma of basmati rice. Probably good for making fried rice. But definitely not ideal for special occasions.

Difficult to open
There is a double stitching on the top of the bag. I had to struggle for 10 minutes to carefully cut open the thread with a knife. As i wanted to reuse the bag, i didn't slash open the bag. There is no cooking instruction on the bag. There is nutritional information written in Hindi. Expiry date is clearly printed on the side. It is small broken basmati rice. Update: it is just normal broken rice, a by-product when milling basmati rice with just a fancy name like mogra. There is nothing special about this rice. Just a little bit of fragrance. Not good for pressure cooking. If you pressure cook the rice, it gets lumpy and sticky. Pot boiling method works best of this rice and you get separate grain cooked rice. I am using this rice as dog food. I pressure cook this rice for dog food.

They are selling terrible rice under the brand name — I have never eaten such bad rice in my life. When I washed the rice, I even found insects in it. These days, it’s hard to trust anyone. I’ve been an Amazon Prime customer for over 10 years, but I’m starting to lose my trust now.
