When my baby started teething, he suddenly refused the bottle he had been using since birth. We tried everything — different bottles, nipples, flows — and nothing worked. Feeding time became very stressful and frustrating. This Comotomo bottle honestly saved us. From the first try, my baby accepted it without any issues. The soft silicone and natural shape seem much more comfortable, especially during teething. It’s easy to clean, well made, and truly made a difference for us when nothing else did. If you’re struggling with a baby who is rejecting bottles during teething, I highly recommend giving this one a try. It was a lifesaver for our family.

I can’t recommend these bottles enough - Godsend. I only wish I had discovered these bottles sooner. My baby took to the nipple so easily too! Such a relief! We have had zero problems with leaking. We used Dr. Brown’s glass and plastic bottles. The plastic bottles were light weight and our daycare did not allow glass bottles. The benefit of having glass was mainly to avoid microplastics but you can’t avoid plastic with the other parts the Dr. Browns bottles have. They are so heavy too and feeding my girl every 1.5- 2 hrs became painful on my wrist and thumb. Also they are SO time consuming to wash. We dreaded “bottle service” because of all the tiny parts that had to be carefully washed. A pain in the butt! These bottles solved every problem. They are so light weight, a breeze to clean due to the wide neck, are soft and durable, and best of all the high grade silicone material contains no BPA, PVC, and phthalates. I won’t be concerned when my girl begins to hold her own bottle soon about her dropping or breaking a glass bottle or having to hold such a heavy bottle! The dual anti-colic vents are effective too without being a hassle to clean! We warm these bottles in our bottle warmer under the silica setting so an 8 oz bottle takes about 8 minutes to warm. Not a big deal. The website says to replace the bottles every 6 months but with daily use this isn’t an inconvenience either. Keep in mind because it’s such a wide mouth bottle the milk won’t fill the nipple unless you place it at a ~70 degree angle or so to get every last drop. My baby doesn’t mind. Something else to mention is if you don’t wash the vents properly the bottle may collapse when your baby suckles. So, if this happens to you don’t be alarmed. Just make sure to run water into the vents after washing the nipple and it won’t happen.

When I first started looking into bottles for my exclusively breast-fed baby, I had a lot of reservations about possible problems I might encounter, from nipple confusion to nursing strikes. We didn't introduce a bottle to our little guy, who is now about 4.5 months old, until he was a little over 2 months old -- and he only gets a bottle when absolutely necessary (which is maybe a couple of ounces once or twice a day at the babysitter's, as I'm able to come nurse him every day at lunch). I had read lots of info about techniques for introducing a bottle to a breast-fed baby, and on things you want to look for in a bottle (slow-flow nipples are one major criterion), I can now report that we've been very pleased with the Comotomo bottle, 4-ounce size. I love the hand-feel of it -- which is pliable, similar to an actual breast (though not flimsy) -- and the wide mouth, both for my son to flange his lips as he would on the breast AND for ease of pouring in milk that I've pumped. I purchased two of these, along with two of the 4-oz LifeFactory bottles with slow-flow nipples, so we could have two different brands to try and see which my son would prefer. I really wanted BOTH brands to work, because I liked innovative shape and texture of the Comotomo, which more closely replicates the feel of baby's hands on the breast when he has to take the bottle. But I also liked the idea of a fully inert substance like glass, and we have LifeFactory water bottles for ourselves. The Comotomo has been much more successful, however, in part because the slow-flow nipple actually flows MUCH more slowly than the LifeFactory's. I had read about differences in what "slow-flow" could really mean -- but I was very surprised by just how *fast* milk comes out of the LifeFactory bottles' slow-flow nipples. My husband and I did a side-by-side comparison with water in the bottles, and the Lifefactory bottles are like a fast-dripping leaky sink faucet, with liquid coming out at least twice as fast as in the Comotomo. I think that, combined with the narrower base of the Lifefactory bottle, conspired to cause my little guy to choke and gag when we tried to feed him from the LifeFactory bottle. The Comotomo bottle, by contrast, worked from the first try -- though warning to other mothers out there who are trying to exclusively breastfeed, and use bottles as little as possible: The very first time my son got the bottle, he took it and drank from it without a problem for about 5+ minutes -- but then he started really crying, and I had to nurse him. I think it was because he realized something about that special ritual of nursing was different. However, that was the only time it happened ... He'll take a bottle, though he doesn't prefer it, and he usually drinks just enough to tide him over until I'm back to nurse him again. But for all the reasons I mentioned -- the unique shape and feel of the Comotomo, which makes the experience a bit closer to being at the breast; the slow-flow nipples that actually ARE slow-flow; the wide base and opening -- I've been very happy with the Comotomo, and it's the only bottle I've been using. The cap also clicks on easily (and stays on well, but is also easy to get off -- another peccadillo with the LifeFactory, which I feel I have to press down really hard to click on). We do plan to keep the LifeFactory bottles, though, and use them once my son has started drinking other liquids, as you can swap out the nipple top for a sippee-style top. I don't think Comotomo has such an option (though I'm not sure).

We bought this to supplement our breastfed baby. Because i read online that silicone is the safest option and better than plastic. The quality is excellent, and easy to clean. The cap and nipple are sturdy. Its soft at the bottom and up to the cap it becomes hard. The only downside side is the flow rate which is too fast that made the baby suck with minimal effort.

After trying several different brands and types of baby bottles, this one is the winner by a long shot. In summary, they have the magic combination of being both vented AND easy to clean. Let me explain... Due to some challenges with nursing we have been feeding our little one exclusively from bottles (with pumped breast milk), so we have had plenty of opportunity to try different bottles! The first bottles we used were non-venting, which turned out to be a big mistake. By the time our little one was a few weeks old she had developed such a strong suck that she would create a vacuum inside inside the bottle as she drank, which would cause the nipple slowly to collapse. Several times each feeding we would have to pull the nipple gently to one side of her mouth to break the seal and allow the nipple to re-expand. Obviously these mid-feed interruptions did not make her happy! Next we tried a well-known brand of vented bottles which vent via a thin tube that extends all the way down through the center of the bottle. Although these bottles solved the suction problem, each one had four separate pieces, two of which contained tiny internal tubes. Cleaning all these small parts was cumbersome to say the least, and the thought of doing it multiple times per day filled me with a sense of despair I just couldn’t shake. There had to be a vented bottle that wasn’t so difficult to clean! Enter the Comotomo bottle (accompanied by rays of sunshine and a renewed sense of hope). This was the answer! What makes this bottle so great? 1. The bottle is vented very simply, via two tiny “valves” on the sides of the nipple, so the whole bottle has just THREE pieces: the bottle itself, a nipple, and a plastic ring which secures the nipple to the bottle. No small parts to get lost! 2. The wide-mouth design and lack of tiny tubes make these VERY easy to clean. 3. The lightly textured silicone body has a non-slip quality which makes the bottle easy to grip. 4. They don’t leak (at least, WE have never had a problem with them leaking) 5. They have a cool, modern design (this is subjective and a matter of opinion, but still…). I can really only find one “negative” to these bottles, and it’s really not so much a fault but rather a characteristic due to their shape. As the bottle’s contents are being consumed, if the bottle is held at a 45-degree angle or so, the last bit of liquid will pool at the top-side of the bottle instead of flowing into the nipple (see my photo). This isn’t a big deal, as all you have to do is tilt the bottle more upright briefly and the liquid will move into the nipple, but it is something to watch as the bottle gets close to empty. Oh, and it’s not obvious from the product photos, but these bottles DO have volume markings on them. They are inconspicuous but still easy to read. We are VERY happy with these bottles.
