Great quality and really water-resistant!
I’m very happy with this varnish. It applies smoothly, dries quickly and leaves a clean, clear finish. The water resistance is excellent — exactly as described. Perfect for protecting decorations and wood surfaces. Definitely worth the money.

Perfect Finish for a Matte, Professional Look
The POLYVINE Quick-Drying Acrylic Clear Decorators Varnish Dead Flat is a fantastic product for anyone looking to achieve a smooth, matte finish on their projects. Whether you're working with wood, crafts, or any other decorative items, this varnish provides a flawless, dead-flat finish that doesn’t shine, offering that classic, non-reflective look. One of the best features is how quickly it dries—within hours, you're ready to move on to the next step without the wait. The application is smooth, and it’s easy to use with a brush, giving great coverage with minimal effort. The varnish also feels durable and protective once applied, helping preserve your work from dust and light wear. It's a bit on the smaller side at 100ml, but it goes a long way, making it great for smaller to medium-sized projects. Overall, this varnish is ideal for anyone looking for a professional-quality, non-glossy finish. Highly recommended for crafters and decorators alike!

Seems ok.
Applied this 'varnish' to wallpaper I hung on a feature wall in my bathroom. As to its ability to repel moisture, that remains to be seen. But I'm certainly hopeful.

The best buildable streak free varnish ✨
Why did you choose this product over others?: Amazing varnish, accidentally chose a matt finish emulsion paint to go on wood doors and the is varnish seals it so easily, very quick drying and easy to use! Doesn't streak at all with a gentle brush, less is definitely more - pictured before and after

Tricky to use
I used this as protective coating on parts of painted banister that get a lot of hand contact as last time I just painted the paint wore off quickly. I searched how to use it as never used anything like this before. Do not shake as this creates bubbles. You should slowly invert bottle 5 times and then pour out required amount. Then stir which is an important step and wait a few minutes for it to settle. Apply thinly. For my job recommendation was 3 coats. You have to be careful as it runs very easily so keep checking for the first 10 mins. Even though I thought I'd put first coat on thinly it ran a bit. I found it quite difficult to use as it's hard to see when applying. Also even though I used a brand new brush and container it just seems to pick up tiny hairs from nowhere! Finish was OK, hoped it would have been better as I'd put a lot of effort into trying to do a good job of it but maybe that's just my inexperience. It is a small bottle but perfect amount for my requirements and still have about half left. A little goes a long way. Even though it says you can reapply in a few hours I waited 24 hours after each coat just to make sure. Also it apparently takes 5 days to fully cure so I've covered up the top of both finials with a small box.
