Review: Highly recommend these - These shoes are great I use them to walk the dog 3 times day, probably 50 miles a week. They are very comfortable waterproof when walking through wet grass and shallow puddles. They are very durable and should last well Grip is ok Will definitely buy again when needed would definitely recommend Review: Merrells - The most durable walking shoes - I purchased the first pair of Merrell’s approximately 2 years ago after being recommended by my son-in-law. He has worn them every day since then, mostly for walking the dog twice a day as well as on longer walks whilst on holiday. When he saw them for sale again at a very good price he purchased his second pair. Merrells are an excellent brand and wear well. They are extremely durable and comfortable and true to fit. He would purchase again when required and would undoubtedly recommend them.

GREAT SHOES BUT NOT GORETEX
These shoes come in two variants, one with Goretex and one without. This listing is for the one without Goretex which is why it's a bit cheaper than you may see elsewhere. The shoes are not in any way water resistant (which is why I've only given 4 stars). My fault for not being aware of the two variants. If you want water resistant, look for the ones that say Goretex in the name (and specify it in the listing) and have the little Goretex label on the side of the shoe. Aside from that, they are great. They suit my narrow heels and spread forefoot, were comfortable straight out of the box and saw me through a 250km hike with no blisters. They aren't the lightest but they are rugged and give good grip. I would buy again - but I'll get the Goretex ones next time!

Very comfortable
Great fit and comfortable but you need to get a size larger than usual. I usually take size 8 UK but saw another review saying go a size up so did - and it was right.

Excellent walking shoe.
My husband has had these shoes before so he knew they would fit and that they would be comfortable and waterproof. The delivery time was excellent, it was far faster than the date given.

First day of use review!
1 month update edit: Buy ONE SIZE UP. I went a half size up. Having worn them for a month I will definitely buy 1 size up if I buy again. So if like me you want to save a ton of money on the high street store prices, you've come to shop here. I wanted a good walking shoe which was water proof and had a real focus on inner sole comfort so I opted for these after reading the many reviews. First of all you'll be scratching your head at what size do you get because it's not the size you are that you need! You'll then notice people saying half a size up or one size up so which is it? Now it's down to use and preference. I. Opted for half a size up as that's what most people said so I took a gamble. Now I can tell you straight out of the box half a size up with a very thin sock felt absolutely bang on for me. The only time on my first walk that they felt a tiny bit small was walking down very steep declines where all your weight is pushed to the front of the shoe and so my big toe was right up to the front. This leads me to the conclusion that if you are a professional downhill walker or wear thick socks, get a size up or for normal use like me, cliff and road walking, the half up was fine but neither are going to be entirely wrong. To start with the shoe was tight so I released a bit from the laces and they were then perfect. When put on you literally feel taller as I imagine this comes from the very comfortable vibram sole. Now some people have reported that because of the sole it leaves your heel to far out of the shoe and I can totally see what they were saying because it does feel like your heels are more exposed and it was at this point I thought I've made a mistake but bare with me on this. You know how when you buy a new bedroom pillow it is all nice and puffed up and keeps your head nice and high to start with and then after a week it's gone a little flatter? Well it's kind of like this but not in a bad way. It's like a tiny break in period, bearing in mind that I've only used them on one cliff walk for about an hour or so. They felt absolutely fine after about 15 minutes if I'm honest. I felt like I was walking in a 6 month pair of shoes, not a day one. No pain, almost a bounce feeling and complete comfort. Obviously this is day one so I can't report on longevity or water tightness as it was a beautiful sunny day but so far I'm sold. Great shoe and (on here) great price. I saved about a third of the high street price I'd say.

Comfortable from day one, great shoes.
Comfy, sturdy walking shoes, the| latest in the Moab line. Time will tell if they will stand up to over 1000 miles of hiking with my Moab 2 shoes from last year, but they seem almost identical so I have no doubt they will.

Well, it took three tries and ten pairs of shoes using Try Before You Buy, but I finally found exactly what I wanted—a pair of sturdy, supportive shoes with excellent tread. I ordered up a half size because I plan to wear these in what passes for winter where I live, and that’s perfect with wearing a pair of good quality socks. They were half price too, so that makes it even better. They were comfortable out of the box, and I’ve been wearing them to physical therapy where I will be starting to walk on uneven ground.

This is a well made shoe at a great price. I had to return mine because the shoe has a high arch and did not fit my foot comfortably. The length and toe space was fine. If you have a flat foot like mine, you might try another shoe. This will probably fit most feet just fine.
