Worth the money, high quality, easy to use, and light in weight
These strippers are awesome!! I got the VDV110-261 and I use them for unison, dmx, and cat5 cables stripping. They work BEAUTIFULLY, very easy to use and small sturdy. I would compare the quality (this is random and weird comparison) to older plastic toys and playground plastic, like it feels sturdy and very well made. I just want to see how long they last. People have said around a couple hundred to a couple thousand of terminations before seeing dullness. Would buy again and probably will when these get dull over the next couple of years.

Installing cable connectors doesn't get any easier than this
I'm an older guy, and for decades I've installed coaxial connectors the "old school" way, using a box cutter and crimping tool. A few years back I moved up to compression connector fittings, investing in the Klein compression fitting tool, but was still preparing the cable the old-fashioned way. I bought this stripper because I was tired of wasting time trying to remember how much of the outer and inner insulator to strip away, and doing it badly most of the time because I could cut too deep. I'm pleased to say that this is perhaps the most perfect way I have ever seen of performing this task. It is literally foolproof. Let me explain... To cut a cable, simply slide the black sleeve on the tool up to block the exit side of the cable cutter opening, push down the black button on top of the tool, insert your cable into the open end (there's an icon above the opening that resembles a stripped cable--see photo attached to this review), release the black button, spin 3-4 times around the cable, and then push the button again and release the cable. Slide off the first part of the insulation, which exposes the inner conductor, and then slide off the second section, which exposes the outer conductor/electrical shield. Push into your compression fitting until the inner "white" insulator is flush with the inside of the connector, insert the connector into your compression tool and compress the two parts of the connector together. Done! The tool is all plastic except for the blades, of course, and I don't see any way to replace the blades so at some point you'll have to toss it when the blades lose their sharpness, but for its size, simplicity, and consistent quality connections, I think it's a worthy investment. You should easily get hundreds of trouble-free cable connections out of this before that time comes, and as I said in my title for this review, I just don't know how you can make this task any easier than what Klein has done here.

Strips coax like a god. Very good quality stripper.

Industrial strength wasteful packaging
Does the job but you got to figure out how to use it because there's no instructions and it as usual it comes in a industrial, wasteful plastic vault that made me ask Klein on Twitter"where's the Klein tool to get other Klein tools out of their packaging"

Seems to be a quality tool
Came late and I had already prepared my cable with a pocket knife. I'll try it when the next coax project comes up.

The best jacket cutting tool Iāve ever owned.
A lot of crimpers have a jacket cutting area but more time than no, for me, they end up nicking the jacketing on the signal cables. This thing functions even better than Iād hoped. it cuts the jacket perfectly after two or three passes and leaves the jacket on the conductors undamaged. The jacket cutter is self-adjusting and Iāve used it on two types of cables with zero issues. Having worked in IT for decades, Iāve terminated thousands of twisted pair network cables and Iāll reiterate, this is the best jacket cutter Iāve ever used. Donāt give it a second thought if youāre going to be terminating a lot of twisted pair network cables, just order this to save you a lot of headaches.

A stripper like this seems so simple, so trivial, that you might wonder if you even need something like it at all. But if you terminate network cables any more often than "very rarely", you should get this tool. It turns what is otherwise an annoying and fiddly part of terminating cables into a quick, fun step. While you can probably use a crimp tool, pocket knife, or pliers to cut the jacket of a Cat5/Cat6 cable, there's a good chance that you'll either nick a wire, make a sloppy-looking cut, or end up cutting at a slight angle. With this tool, you'll never have to worry about that. To use, simply push the plunger in, insert the cable to the depth you need, spin it a couple times, then after removing the tool, the cable will be scored (but not completely cut through) allowing you to easily break off the jacket and remove it without cutting into the insulation on the wires. This tool is ergonomic, rugged, and good quality while being easy and efficient to use. It has survived many drops, and I can't see it breaking easily. I've never needed to use it, but you can also score the cable longitudinally if you need to open a big length of cable up for some reason, so it's a nice feature to have if you need it. $20 might seem like a lot of money to spend on something so trivial that you could technically get done with lots of other tools you already haveābut terminate at least four cables, and you won't regret spending the cash one bit. About the review headline: I built a house with my wife, and we installed a *lot* of wiring in there. I terminated at least 45 runs of Cat6 myself without this tool, and in many instances, I nicked a wire or had to struggle to remove the jacket. This tool would have saved me so much time and frustration!
