The first time it happened, it seemed like an impossible miracle. Bills were piling up, adding up to more money than I could ever make. Mom's hospital bills. My baby brother's tuition. My tuition. Rent. Electricity. All of it on my shoulders. And I had just lost my job. There was no hope, no money in my account, no work to be found. And then, just when I thought all hope was lost, I found an envelope in the mail. No return address. My name on the front, my address. Inside was a check, made out to me, in the amount of ten thousand dollars. Enough to pay the bills and leave me some left over to live on until I found a job. Enough to let me focus on classes. There was no name on the check, just "VRI Inc.," and a post office box address for somewhere in the city. No hint of identity or reason for the check or anything. No mention of repayment, interest, nothing…except a single word, on the notes line: "You." Just those three letters. If you received a mysterious check, for enough money to erase all your worries, would you cash it? I did. The next month, I received another check, again from VRI Incorporated. It too contained a single word: "belong." A third check, the next month. This time, two words. Four letters. "To me."The checks kept coming. The notes stopped. Ten thousand dollars, every month. A girl gets used to that, real quick. It let me pay the bills without going into debt. Let me keep my baby brother in school and Mom's hospice care paid for. How do you turn down what seems like free money when you're desperate? You don't. I didn't. And then, after a year, there was a knock on my door. A sleek black limousine sat on the curb in front of my house. A driver stood in front of me, and he spoke six words: "It's time to pay your debt." Would you have gotten in? I did. It turns out $120,000 doesn't come free. Review: I am crazy over this extreme ALPHA! He's the best kind of domination!!! 5+ Stars - If you're looking for a novel to whisk you away to a kinky wonderland that you have no chance of ever escaping because of the captivating allure, you will discover the ultimate prize in Alpha by Jasinda Wilder. This book is the imaginary myth that always sounded too good to be true, but it has finally been revealed to exist! In order to preserve the heaps of secrets and twists that make this story the powerhouse it is, the majority of my review will be describing how much I loved this book and why you should be reading it right now. Alpha is like a non-stop erotic treasure hunt packed full of expertly hidden clues that lead to maximum reader enjoyment. There was never a dull moment where I wanted to race ahead. Each word is meant to be savored and discovered. I never got a chance to catch my breath with the nonstop explosions occurring so I was extremely ramped up. I was in a continuous loop of electric sparks and soaring emotions. By the final page I felt frazzled, spent, and sated in the best way. I am completely ruined for other books. I had several self-centered moments where I actually believed Jasinda wrote this book just for me. How could she not have? It's my long lost novel concoction I've always searched for. Make sure to have plenty of replacement panties at the ready because trust me, you're going to need them. Jasinda Wilder writes sex so hot, I was afraid I was going to spontaneously combust from the intense heat. I definitely had to take several breaks to engage in deep breathing just to make sure I would survive. It is extremely rare for me to get this riled up from a book but that continues to prove this author's boundless talent. I'm still squiring in my seat! I will definitely value this delectable novel champion. Not only is this book filled to the brim with the hottest sex I have ever read but it is also a magnificent story with writing that is beyond perfection. Jasinda managed to push me to the brink of sanity yet kept it classy. That is a skill very few have. Novels will a lot of steam can lack a rich storyline but here is the jack of all trades! The characters are sensational and you are guaranteed to fall in love with them, as well as their journey together. The plot is unique and riveting, which will leave you happily hung over. The way this author creates a story that leaves readers feeling honored from the chance to indulge proves her mastery in the writing field. Nothing compares. If I had to choose one novel to take with me to a deserted island, this would be it. I could re-read it over and over without getting bored. I would still be clinging to the edge of my seat in anticipation of what's to come. Yep... I'm talking prized possession quality right here. You all should probably have started reading Alpha by now... Hold onto your clothes and morals! This novel will strip you of both… but who needs them anyways, right? Alpha straight up broke my rating scale because it deserves an infinite number of diamonds. It is by far one of the best books I have ever read! 5+ ‘Don’t-Mess-With-Me-Because-I-Am-Still-High-On-Alpha’ Diamonds Review: Alpha is a steamy hot erotica! - When I first read the synopsis for Alpha, I was really excited to get my hands on this book. Kyrie St. Claire is a woman sinking deeper and deeper into debt. She is the sole provider for her mother and brother after a tragic situation takes her father from the family. She suddenly loses her job and doesn’t know what to do. She begins to receive checks in the mail, once a month for a year, totally $120,000. This money saves her from financial ruin. But we all know this comes with an unknown price. And the anonymous donor eventually comes to collect what is his. Going into this book I knew I’d have to suspend my disbelief somewhat. It’s nothing new considering I do this with every billionaire romance I read. That said, I enjoyed Alpha. The plot is intriguing and character development is good. Kyrie’s character is gutsy and brave, taking the money not knowing the consequences. Many people will say that’s stupid. But when you don’t know when or where your next meal is going to come and you have people depending on you, sometimes you do what you have to do. The mysterious person behind the money (I won’t spoil you by telling his name), has been watching Kyrie for a while. He’s very guarded about himself and won’t allow Kyrie to know anything about him. But once you get to know this obscure benefactor for Kyrie, you want to know more about him. Jasinda provides a good back story for all the characters, something that is must for me to connect with the characters. I do wish Jasinda would have brought Kyrie’s brother into the story. She does so much for him and I would have like to know about him and why she would sacrifice so much for him besides the fact that he’s family. And I think the big revelation toward the end was a bit rushed, too. I liked Kyrie’s sassy best friend but gave her a bit of the side-eye when she let her go with this unknown person who may or may not lock her up in a dungeon. One of the reasons I love Jasinda’s books is the freaking hot sex scenes. That may make me a shameless floozy, but I don’t care. The sex in this book is really hot. His verbal seduction of Kyrie is just as sexual at the sex itself. Mysterious hot alpha man teases Kyrie with his words before he ever touches her. And when they finally do the deed, it’s page after page of hot sex that had me squirming in my seat. Basically, Jasinda don’t play when it comes to hot sex in her books. I enjoyed Alpha and I read it in one sitting. The story kept me interested and I connected with the main characters. The erotica part of this book is really awesome. There were a few missteps with the plot, but not enough for me to stop reading. I give Alpha 3.5 out of 5 stars! Written by Dee McGee - Booze, Bookz, and Bad Boyz

The Perfect Fairytale for Adult Women
Do you remember when you were a girl and you used to dream about the handsome, mysterious prince coming in and sweeping you off your feet? Well, I think that Alpha by Jasinda Wilder is the adult woman's version of that fantasy. This book has it all. Rich, hot alpha male with a dirty mouth in bed? Check. Rescued heroine? Check. Mystery and suspense? Check. Lots of kinky, hot sex? Double check. Anticipation leading up to kinky, hot sex? Triple check. It's a perfect blend of eroticism and romance. Kyrie St. Claire has a lot of responsibility and she's in a bind. She's taking care of her sick mother and grandparents financially, paying for her brother's college on top of her own bills and now she has lost her job. Just when she thinks everything is crashing down around her, she receives a mysterious check for $10,000 from an anonymous donor. She cashes the check and then continues to cash more checks each month for a year, knowing that the donor will come calling eventually. That day comes, but not in the way she envisions. She is "collected," blindfolded and taken to meet her benefactor. And boy, oh boy, is that an intense scene that is just the beginning to some sensuous anticipation that just builds as the story continues! "You are here because I own you, Kyrie." What - what are you going do to me?"... "Everything...But nothing you won't enjoy." I'm glad that Jasinda decided to write a novel on the more erotic side. I felt her descriptive writing of Kyrie's surroundings when she is first thrust into the hero's world gave the novel a mysterious and edgy feel, and she kept this feeling going throughout the book. Her benefactor is keeping some secrets from Kyrie and we know, even as she is sucked into his world of seduction, that those secrets will eventually be revealed. Jasinda does an excellent job building the sexual tension in this book too. I couldn't wait for these two to come together and when they do, it's explosive. There are fireworks! There is a scene in the book where the hero does nothing but kiss up Kyrie's arm to her elbow and it was one of the most "innocent" sensuous scenes I have ever read. I loved it! If you like to read adult fairytales with lots of sex, a dominant male hero and a thrilling, suspenseful plot, this book is for you. I really enjoyed getting swept away into the hero's mysterious, sexually charged world. It was a great escape for this romance reader.

"I've come to collect you."
"You belong to me." I can not begin to tell you how much I loved this book! Jasinda can do no wrong! What would you do if you kept getting a check for $10,000 every month for a year from someone you didn't know? What would you do if someone came to your door to collect you? That's what happened to Kyrie. She hasn't exactly been dealt the greatest of cards in her life. After loosing her father, she was left to care for her ill mother and put herself and her younger brother through college. Funds weren't coming in as quickly as they were leaving. So, when she started to receive these checks, she finally started to pull herself out of the deep end. Only she had no clue that she was actually signing herself up for something she never imagined. "Who-who are you? Why am I here?" "You don't need to know my name just yet. As to why you're here?...You're here because I own you, Kyrie." "What-What are you going to do to me?" "Everything...But nothing you won't enjoy." Is it bad that I wanted to hear his voice from the beginning?! haha!! Roth was pure seduction! I was drawn to him so quickly and I wanted more! Roth was a very successful businessman and money is never an issue. He had his reasons for bringing Kyrie into his world, but he couldn't tell her just yet. His secret could tear them apart. "I've been waiting so long to bring you in my life, and now that I have you, I'm jealous of the time I get to spend with you." Kyrie's attraction to Roth was quick even though she just met him and she was sorta blindfolded! She couldn't get enough of the way her body felt around him and you felt it being the reader. You felt like you were in her mind, feeling what she felt, wanting what she wanted. Lawd child!! It was hot!!!! "But never before this moment, had there been a kiss that stole my will to pull away, that devoured my capacity for thought, that removed my ability to resist, to feel anything but the kiss." This book had sexiness and swoon-worthy moments all through it! I can tell you that the sound of a shirt ripping never sounded so good;) "I'd never met a man who'd really impressed me before. They didn't make me stand up and take notice. They didn't demand my attention, and they certainly couldn't have commanded my respect, not like Roth did." This book was just amazing. In true Jasinda form, the story gets inside of you and you feel it for days after. It was beautifully written and you are sucked in from the start! Great read!! "My last thought, before I slept, was, I could fall in love with this man. I hoped I hadn;t said that out loud, but it was true."

hit and miss for me.... 3.5 stars
there were things that i loved about this book, and things that i didn't. first off, i want to say that the author should have clarified Roth's adamant and scathing denial that he was not a "Dominant" - he is a Dom. what he is not, is a Sadist. the two are not inherently tied together. because one is a Dom does not make him a Sadist, and vice versa. so in that respect, even though it may seem like a silly distinction, i really wish the author would have taken the time it understand the nuances of D/s instead of perpetuating the stereotype that all Dominates are Sadists, or in the same token, that if you are a Sadist Dom, that you get off on abusing women, as the heroine's ex does. K's ex was an abuser, end of story. i wish the author wouldn't have wrapped that abuse up into the bdsm lifestyle. the other things that i didn't care for were the over the top constant reminders of how much money R has. yes, he's a billionaire. but the author didn't have to put price tags on everything, it's like spending time with the one guy who always wants to tell you how much he paid for this and that and how "money" he is. it's just tacky. the custom fitted dior dresses and the custom made emerald jewelry and the helicopters and the private garage within a garage with a laundry list of 100k cars....it just got kind of old real quick. i mean, you can write about this kind of wealth in a way that doesn't sound as if it's braggy and showy. the erotica. became a bit much too. now don't get me wrong, i love a good sex scene that inspires you to feel it - but 10 to 12 kindle pages of sex where R has the stamina of an 18 yr old porn star and every position you could imagine and then some? it get's tedious after awhile. like, i was skipping paragraphs because you can only describe so much before it becomes overkill. but, this story has some mystery. it has passion. and it has one hot as hell alpha Dominate even if he won't admit it. it's enough to keep me reading, and to keep my interest. it's not a "can't put it down" book for me where i ignore all else, but it will keep you coming back.

Passionate and Extreme
Every so often a book leaves me wanting. Wanting does not begin to describe how Alpha left me. Dark, sexy, tempting and romantic I was completely enthralled by the passion between Kyrie and Roth. The mystery around the man, the secret he harbors, the passions he ignites .... it was all too much. I found myself holding my breath. I found myself feeling the passion and angst of these characters. How in only the course of a few days so much could be shared between two souls ... two broken, damaged and yet hopeful souls was so practical. It is through the amazing writing style of Jasinda Wilder and the depths of her characters that you recognize the balance these characters bring to each other. It all makes complete and utter sense. Roth is a man of extreme wealth. A man of extreme desires. I believe the word "extreme" completely embraces the man Roth is. He is extreme in every portion of his life. The manner in which is earns his wealth, the way he expresses his passions, the words he uses as he expresses those passions .... all extreme. Kyrie is broken. Having led a life of privilege until she reached adulthood, she has since suffered and struggled. She has sacrificed and persevered. When her life hits bottom and she cannot see the light out of the darkness, a lone envelope changes everything. And continues to do so over the course of a year. But Kyrie knows nothing is free and the day will come that she must pay the price of accepting her gifts. This story is steamy. It is sexy. It is dark and mysterious. It is passionate. It is beyond the realm of what any one person can express. It is the melding of two hearts and souls as one, regardless of the circumstance that brought them together. An amazing sexy read with a splash of humor and humanity to make you fall completely in love and...lust.

Anticapation
Jasinda Wilder makes you feel what the characters are going through ... from sexy lust to angst to out and out anger. She is a very, very good writer. This book was filled with all lots of lust, sex, angst and many other emotions. Kyrie's life gets very tough after her father is murdered. She is left to take financial responsibility for both her mother and brother. Her mother is hospitilazied long term for mental illnesses and Kyrie has to foot the bill. Her brother moved away to attend college and Kyrie is footing his tuition as well as her own. To say that she has it tough financially and emotionally is an understatement. So when an eviction notice and being fired from her temp job happens she is ready to break until she receives an envelop in the mail for $10 thousand dollars. She doesnt know who sent it or why and she doesnt want to cash it because she realizes that nothing is for free. Kyrie is a tough, independent girl but she also knows when she is losing the battle. She cashes the check. The first three checks contain a small message that end up say you belong to me. So she knows there is payment due. The checks keep coming every month for 1 year and she keeps cashing them. I guess you'd have to ask yourself, would you do the same thing? If desperate enough most people would. After a year it's payment time. Although she has no idea her life will change forever at this moment. The person behind the checks is Valentine Roth. When he collects Kyrie for payment he tells her that he has a secret that he will reveal when he is ready and he knows that once he does she will leave him. Valentine is wonderful, rich, sensative, handsome and the absolute perfect man. He is seductive and honest in all that he says and does. You will love Valentine Roth. There arrangement progresses until he reveals his secret then everything in Kyrie's world changes. This is a really good book. There was alot of sex throught out and I skimmed thru alot of but I think the foreplay, build up and actual sex scenes were important to the book because it created a connection between Valentine and Kyrie. It wasn't just about the act of sex which you will learn. You'll feel the emotions throughout this book and you wont be dissapointed. Must Read.

A hot and steamy romance that will makes you crave more!
Kyrie is an independent woman who spends more time taking care of her sickly mother and younger brother than herself. One day when she is at the end of her financial rope she gets a check in the mail for $10,000! No clue who her mysterious benefactor is she cashes the check and continues on with her life, only to find another check the next month! A year has passed and the checks kept coming, but this time a man comes to her door telling him he's here to "collect." Kyrie's going to find out fast that nothing is free, but sometimes the payment is more than she could imagine. Alpha was free download for me that I took a chance on. Now I don't usually read much erotica, finding them predictable and repetitive. A lot of them don't have much story line to them or the sex is very crude and lacks any emotional connection whatsoever. Which is fine for those who like that kind of thing. I'm not one of them. But Alpha is not one of those books. Yes, it has steamy sexy scenes, with crude dirty talk mixed in, but amongst the delectable heat inducing sex is more. The main guy Roth doesn't just do sex. He doesn't just focus on making Kyrie get off, but goes a step beyond and out to Raxacoricofallapatorius (Doctor Who reference). He makes Kyrie feel beautiful and taken care of while all the while reminding her of who is in control. "Tell me, who do you belong to, Kyrie?" "You." "Say it." "I'm yours." Now is this a bit neanderthal? Yes. But the way Roth goes about making Kyrie his is in no way degrading or diminishing of her as a person. Not to mention, freaking HOT! Besides the edge of your seat sex scenes (Kyrie spends the first three days with him blindfold!), there is still an element of emotional connection between them that cannot go unnoticed. By the end of the book I was rooting for them to find their way back to each other and think I would have been devastated to not get a happy ending. So I give this book a WHOOPING 5 out of 5 stars! It was well written, never dull, and kept me wanting more until the very last page. I can't wait to see what happens next!

The Book written with much consideration. Firstly it's long paragraphs and lots of intense chemistry but the way the ending unfolds in surprise is truly magical Nd keeps you hooked.
