Nice pan
Nonstick cups are a nice feature, but I still butter or spray them to aid in easy release. Pan works great and is easy to use. Cleans up nicely.

This thing works well a bit of a learning curve
I like this thing if you’d like to make poached eggs like G Ramsey this is the closest thing to it for the money there is a learning curve but less than a dozen eggs you should be a pro so first off start by removing the little handles which slip right off and you can store in the drawer make sure to use nonstick or they will not fall out once they’re done also load the eggs in the cups outside of the pot do not try to crack the eggs well in the tray over the hot water do it outside and then easily grab the tray in the center handle with the eggs loaded and then safely lower them down into the boiling water stay at medium heat with the water for the best results I found that helps to cook the eggs evenly I have experimented with 3 to 4 minutes covered then I’ll remove the tray from the center handle with a oven mitt or a glove and then just set the whole tray on a cutting board I found that if you let them sit for about a minute or so you can carefully grab the lips of the cups with your hands but test cautiously before you commit and basically after letting them cool in the tray for one minute I found that helps to make them not too liquidy once you do that you can literally flip them over on your toast and they should fall right out but remember once you pull them out of the boiling water in the tray The trick is to let them keep cooling on the tray for about one minute because they’re actually still cooking which helps with the perfect egg and not to much of the clear raw yolk I love this thing I’m glad I bought it nothing like a poached egg over toast

Eggcellent
What you want to know: Attractive shiny stainless steel which compliments most kitchens. Lightweight and compact design means less space to store but efficiently performs it's task. Vented clear lid keeps eggs from getting watered. Non stick surface helps minimize clean up. What you need to know: this is your poacher if you desire a blend of attractive effective design in a minimalist footprint at an attractive price. Look can look no further. This pan is your huckleberry, Nothing wrong with design. People can be so ridiculous when reviewing products. Buy this product if: You can you add water, bring to boil, add eggs into cups ( bit of butter will ensure non stick and add flavor), cover and wait 4 minutes. Remove from heat, remove lid. Lift egg tray by center lift knob ( doesn't get hot ) and set the egg tray on counter WHCH releases all egg cups from tray, now you may lift egg cups by handle and gently slid out egg...without scalding yourself. Gently wipe out cups. Now sit down and enjoy your eggs and how smart of a purchase you made. Smile - you are a genius. If you can not perform these steps or use your common sense the you shouldn't review the product. God sakes

Inexpensive, does the job, looks nice, but tradeoffs
First, I love poached eggs and this is a heck of an improvement over trying to poach eggs in water. Way better. Now the blown egg is the exception, and the perfect egg is the norm. But having a couple of months experience with the pan (4-5 times a week), I might spend more to get a higher quality pan. The thin metal of the inner tray has slightly warped at the rim so the lid doesn't sit flat, preventing the lid to sit tight around the rim. This can lead to eggs cooking at different rates, which you can compensate for by spinning the lid frequently. Also, the wire "holders" around the cups sometimes get crooked and push the lid up to also make the rim seal inconsistent. The net result is I can't rely on eggs coming out a particular way with consistent timing, so I have to baby sit the pan while I try to do other parts of the meal. In the vein of you get what you pay for, this is pan is a good deal. For not much money you'll have a hugely easier time making poached eggs. The non-stick coating seems to be high quality and the stainless finish looks nice and holds up. If you only make poached eggs once in awhile, I'd recommend this. If you are going to use it more and can justify the extra cost, I'd recommend investing in a heavier duty pan. The minor inconveniences add up if you are a heavy user and might justify the marginal cost (and extra $74) for the Simply Calphalon Nonstick 4-cup Egg Poacher with Cover . Also, I fooled around with the silicon cups sold for poaching eggs. They work, but this approach is easier and less likely to get messed up, e.g., when you get the silicon cups in and out of the pan.

Perfect for the job
So pleased to have something that makes poachng eggs easy and consistent. Have tried the water/vinegar method for years with variable success. The pot is good quality and very simple to use.

Muy buena
Hoy lo usé por primera vez. El resultado fue muy bueno. Los huevos quedaron como de restaurante japonés - así me dijeron en casa - las instrucciones son muy simples. Lo mejor es que el precio es bastante económica

Great value for money spent
It's easy to understand why this poacher is Amazon's #1 pick. It's sturdy, well designed and does the job without muss or fuss. This poaches my eggs more quickly than my old poacher because less steam escapes. I read one review that said the top didn't fit with all four egg containers but mine fits perfectly, so I suspect it was defective and should have been returned. Great value for money!!!!
