At first, it scared me to think that these snaps cost less than $20, yet there were 1,000 sets in the package. After all, there are other vendors online selling 1/3 the quantity of snaps for about the same price. The price hinted at cheap quality, so this was a definite leap of faith. How wrong I was. This was great quality and value for a very affordable price. So here is what I love about these snaps: 1) the color selection is beautiful & colors are vivid 2) the plastic is thick enough, not transparent but solid 3) these are easy to use I also appreciated very much that the vendor took care in the packaging. Each of the colors came packed inside a resealable plastic bag. Inside each bag for each color were three smaller bags containing the parts needed for each snap set: one bag of caps with prong for each side, one bag of female snap pieces, and one bag of male snap pieces. This helped me quickly find the needed pieces, as opposed to having to sort through a bunch of parts jumbled together. Very well organized from the start! Included in the package were some small Ziploc-type storage bags to use once you opened the inner bags. These were the only thing I didn't like as the bags are super thin & are likely to tear sooner rather than later. I have thicker jewelry bags to store these in. Setting a snap was easy with the provided tool kit. 1) poke hole through fabric on one side; 2) place cap with prong through hole; 3) place the female (or male) piece on opposite side of fabric; 4) insert the set into the tool with the cap side on the black disk and the prong pointing upward into the clear see-thru rubber part of the tool -- the rubber is to protect the plastic when you squeeze the tool while the thin metal in the center of this part of the pliers squishes the prong so the two pieces stay together. Another amazing thing about these snaps is that I was able to put them easily through four layers of cotton and to have no issues with looseness. Caps remained tight and secure. There was enough of the prong left over before squishing it that I might have been able to connect 5 or more layers. When applying pressure to the tool to lock the two pieces together, press as hard as you can before letting up. If you try to press again, the tool may damage the snap. The prong in the upturned cap goes naturally into the center hole of the clear rubber piece when you squeeze the tool the first time and it helps to center the cap. However, once squished, the prong can no longer serve as a guide to center the cap in the center of the spacer and any additional pressure is likely to damage the cap. Squeeze good once and then you shouldn't have to worry about it. I am contemplating buying another set right away, so that I don't lose the opportunity to get a great product at a value price.

These snaps were so easy to apply and they work! The pliers also worked flawlessly and there was essentially no learning curve required. Also, the listing photos are accurate to what I received- the colors of the snaps look exactly the same as the photos. As other reviewers mentioned, all the colors are separated in individual plastic baggies which makes everything easy and organized. I am using these Kam snaps for baby bibs with one layer of cotton and one layer of terry cloth, fyi. The color variety is great and all of the tools and extra parts were included as advertised. If you are attempting a small sewing project, these will be great. I had originally bought metal snap fasteners from Amazon (the type you hammer on) and had an awful time. I bought 2 different sets from 2 different sellers and they both would not work- metal was too soft and failed miserably. Plus, the metal rusts! So again, if you are making bibs or anything else that needs constant washing, plastic snaps just make sense. I also tried the Dritz brand metal snaps from the craft store and tried unsuccessfully to get those to work with the terry cloth (also trying to hammer on). I’m mentioning all this in case the person reading this is also trying to make baby bibs- don’t waste your time on anything else, just buy this set! It’s great!! Time will tell if these snaps are sturdy after many uses. So far so good.

This is the second time I've ordered this product. It's a great value, easy to install and very durable. Now my friends are wanting their own sets

I have only used one snap but it came out great and felt like it will last. I put it on a baby bib that I made and since I had so many colors to choose from, I put just the right color on it! Felt like it snapped and unsnapped well. I will see how it holds up to occasional washes but I really like the set !
