Great book if you're thinking about upgrading or building an LS2. Lot's of good reference material and detailed instructions. Well done!

Mike Mavrigan is excellent in describing what, where, and how to make power. Clear descriptions that are worded for the novice and master tech alike. Great pictures and vast content. This is one of my go to manuals.

I bought this and another book from Amazon. The author definitely details out great info, but he is an "Ls Purist" and doesn't talk about the steel block truck motors except for one little blurp where he puts them down. Tons of good info regardless, and if you're doing a $10,000 build, this is your book.

Compared to the sbc/LT engines the LS series is very expensive to modify. It is particularly difficult to find a reliable machine shop that can work on the block due to it's geometric complexities.Consequently the book was very valuable in determining my personal choice of engine builds when considering the cliche "bang for the buck" The book is well written and for those where money is not an issue for an high performance engine build, this book is a must read.

This book has all the details on the LS engine that you need to know all in one place. I found it to be very informative, more so than anything you get from GM.

You should have this book if you plan to do any LS engine work, another great book is "How to Rebuild GM LS-Series Engines (S-A)"

This manual does not cover all LS Engines. If you are building GEN III LS LQ4 this will not cover all aspects needed. It also disregards ALL carburetor setups and ideal fuel system design to feed the beast after it is built. It does cover LS Family engine comparisons and good overall info on rebuilding a 6.0.

Reasonable price, quick service and the item met all my expectations. Nice addition to my library and my information about LS engines.
