Camping Cot Compact Folding Cot Bed for Outdoor Backpacking Camping Cot Bed (Green)

After years of tent camping, I'm tired of carting around a big heavy air mattress, batteries and an air pump,and then spending 30 minutes filling up the air mattress only to wake up on the ground in the morning due to the inevitable air mattress losing air for some unknown reason. We got these for a 16 day road trip where we'd be camping in multiple states and various climates. I did a few practice setups and breakdowns at home so we had no surprises or issues at camp. These things were awesome. They are pretty light weight, pack down fairly small and take about 5 mins to set up or tear down (this was with a 6 year old "helping"). Some of the reviews mentioned that these were too tough to work with. You do need to use some strength to build or break apart, however I'm a tiny lady and after I figured these out, I could do it quickly. The legs do get easier to work with the more you set up and take down the cots. I found it was best to apply downwards pressure on the leg with one hand (and a lot of my body weight) while simultaneously lifting up the long cot pole with the other hand to meet the notch in the leg piece. Not sure about the review who said these had 30 pieces, there are 5 legs, 2 long poles and the cot fabric, all fit nicely into the bag they came in. As far as comfort, they sure beat sleeping on the ground and are better than a wonky air mattress that rolls you to the middle or off the edge and require you to bring sheets to avoid sleeping on the plastic air mattress. The first night, I used just a sleeping bag on the cot and was a little uncomfortable in the shoulders. 2nd night (and every night after), I layered down an old sarape from the car, then my sleeping bag, and was fine. You could probably use a sleeping pad as well for even more comfort. The design of the fabric portion, as someone else mentioned, could be a little bit better. There are holes along the length of the fabric where the leg pieces rest on the long cot poles. It's pretty near impossible to get those holes 100% lined up w/ the leg brackets, so I can see some damage occurring to those areas of fabric with extended use. Overall, these are way better than an air mattress or sleeping mat on the ground. They are more comfortable, take up significantly less space, and are quicker to set up/break down. They are also extremely durable. Our tent blew away and rolled several times in a freak thunderstorm with 60mph winds. The cots survived the rolls completely intact and also survived the rest of the night wedged between the bench and table portion of a heavy picnic table. The rain/water didn't cause any damage and the cots dried out fairly quickly in the morning sun.

Evaluated several cots for weight and cost. I looked at the mountaineering cot that had good reviews but 2.5x the cost. This cot had good reviews but a couple negative comments on assembly. I watched a few videos which were right on point for assembly. The key is to connect the legs to the canvas while holding the canvas perpendicular to the floor. With the ground as the opposing pressure, connecting the legs is a breeze even for a small female. Upon arrival, I assembled the cot in minutes and slept on it outdoors the first night. It was very comfortable. If you need every inch of the cot length, you may feel the ends being a bit flexible. Being on the shorter side, I am able to sleep within the cot legs, so it is very stable even while turning multiple times in the night. Was comfortable on back, sides and stomach sleeping. Fabric was firm and not scratchy. The cot fabric is about 7 inches off the floor and was very supportive. No where close to bottoming out to the floor for me or husband. I love it! What was even more amazing was delivery. I ordered it late Saturday, it shipped on Sunday and arrived on Monday and I do not have Prime. Highly recommend this cot with a great price, weight, fabric and comfort. The weight is low, with the box stating 4.2 pounds. I am taking it backwoods in Alaska. Will be so much better than an air mattress. The price and weight is right! If in doubt, give it a try. I did and a highly satisfied customer.

2022 update: have used for several years no, still good. Have bought two more. They updated and reinforced where the legs attach. Tried a different brand recently bc it was like $10-20 cheaper, sent it back immediately and bought another of these. Fairly easy to assemble and pack back up. Perfect for car camping. Used for 6yo camping in Joshua Tree. Used thermal pad on top. She slept well and was comfortable. Packs up relatively small for traveling.

This made camping fun again. No more waking up sore. It took just a few days for my order to arrive, just in time for our next camping trip. WOW! It took only a few minutes to put together. I slept well! I really like that it comes apart just as quickly and fits in a small bag which can easily fit in any pack. I also like that it is very sturdy and is very low to the ground. This item is a real winner.

I used this on a three night canoe trip in hot Nevada summer. It kept me off the ground, was stable and easy to pack and carry. I've done the trip before and slept on ground, which radiates heat up, being off was nice and i put a wet microfiber towel on top of me and was most comfortable i have been sleeping. Setup is easy just read instructions, anyone can do it.

I loved this product. I went on a 5 night, 50-mile canoe trip with our boy scouts. I was not going to sleep on the ground again. I am a side sleeper and I would always wake up with my shoulder and hip killing me. I found this light-weight cot and decided to give it a try. I bought one for me and one for my son. I did add a light inflatable pad to the top and I have never slept so good camping. It is easy to assemble and disassemble and is compact. The cot even dries quickly in sun-light after tumping in the river . . .

This was a good cot and relatively easy to put together on trips and comfortable to sleep on. UNTIL last month…. I put it together and while sleeping it collapses. The leg crossbars now slip off the main poles with just the slightest movement. Now it’s a useless piece of junk.

I mostly made this review as a warning to a potential choking hazard. Each foot set has one foot with a loose piece. It's where the cord end is tied, so for each single set (2 feet), there is only the loose one on the one side. I didn't notice until I went to get up and pushed down on one, which was very unpleasant. But I have 2 dogs and I would love it if they never picked one up and ate it by chance. And if you have children the hazard is the worst so please be careful. Otherwise, this is a great, sturdy cot. I'm 200lbs and I didn't feel a Family Guy fat girl style dramatic fall through imminent like with everything else I sit on. Would 100% recommend, but please watch for these pieces. They're would be 5 total, would recommend pulling them off as you pull the feet out. Oh also, the only tip I can give for getting everything back in the carry bag... Is you won't.
