6'2" 220lbs and they fit like a glove
Alright sports fans. I had tried many shin guards due to my size and they never seemed to fit. These were perfect. The L/XL come to right below my knee, allowing for me to throw knees efficiently and without hindrance. The straps are the perfect size and grip enough that I do not have to adjust them during my 1 hr practices or warmies (butt kickers, high knees, running in place, etc). The padding is sufficient for novice to intermediate, and should last for a while. I admit that with Sanabul the sizing is weird. I tried other Sanabul guards and they were either too short or did not fit my calves. However, these were right on the money and I would highly recommend for anyone getting into the sport and not wanting to spend a fortune right away.

Generally seems good, mine had a small defect right out of the box.
I bought these to use for taekwondo - we spar in class and I didn't want the sock-style shin guards you pull on. They seem good but had one defect right out of the box, some loose stitching coming out around one loop you put the velcro strap through. This isn't something that affects the usability (it was on the inside of the loop) and I was able to mend it myself as I didn't want to deal with returning it over something I felt might be fixable, though my mending effort came undone sometime after the first sparring session using them (UPDATE: I've since mended the area where the stitching came undone with Gorilla Glue and I don't expect to have this issue again). I've had good experiences with other Sanabul products I've purchased, the Paw V2 gel gloves, so I don't think this is indicative of their overall quality but there are other reviews on this product, specifically, that make it seem hit-and-miss sometimes. Sizing - I read reviews that these run small/have inconsistent sizing, checked the size chart on Sanabul's website and took measurements before ordering a size L/XL - the site advises you to go down a size if you're between sizes. I was between sizes but given reviews about the strap length and looking at the brand's own size chart I felt I'd be better off going with the larger size. I'm a 5'8 female with fairly muscular calves and these fit me fine in a size L/XL in black. Durability - aside from the above-mentioned loose stitching on mine, these seem well-made for the price. They're synthetic leather and the padding is thick. Comfort - they protect your legs well, probably a little more padding than I needed for taekwondo as they seem to be designed more for MMA-style fighting. You can move freely in them and I haven't yet experienced these shifting around while kicking. I have used these in sparring but also tried them on a bag and they worked well on that, also. Overall - I recommend these but with the caveat that you mind the sizing and maybe check yours carefully when they arrive to make sure there's not some loose stitching. EDIT: Want to note for clarity's sake - I do have a Vine Voice badge next to my name. I have never used Amazon Vine and did not use it for this product.

Amazing and tough! I'm going all Sanabul from now on!
I purchased 2 Sanabul 16 oz gloves and fell in love with the feel and toughness and im even way more in love with these amazing shin guards, if you wrap it tight enough ( itll allow as much as you can handle with the wrap and slit through! ) These babys aibt slipping on you mid spar or on heavy bag, this is crucial as it'll save your neck sparring and prevent poor technique while heavy Bag training. Sanabul thank you!!!!!!! Wish i knew you guys 15 yrs back!

Not for big legs, but comfy with extenders
So, I knew going into buying these that they'd be too small for my legs. They all are. I bought Velcro straps separately and sewed them on to give me the extra few inches I needed at the calf. They work great and there's no weird gapping despite how much bigger I'd need them to be to fit out of the box. 5 stars for still working well for someone who they're not really meant for. Would absolutely recommend to try if you're just getting into fighting/ self defense and aren't ready to invest in a pair, even if you have to sew your own straps on like I did.

great value
they fit well and stay put well enough while sparring and working the bag. i am 5'8", 165 and got the large. staying together just fine after several months. the padding is very thick, which i am not detracting points for, as i don't consider it a minus. but if you want something a bit thinner so you also condition your shins while working the bag, these may be too thick. if you don't want your shins hurt on clashes, these are great. overall: inexpensive, well made, they stay put on your shin, and durable.

Bottom strap is very short
I don’t have big calves but the bottom strap would not close. Not even close. I am returning because of that. The product itself looks durable and fit good otherwise. I would consider buying again if they made the straps at the bottom longer. Top strap was fine.

Good shinguard, good deal
These were my first shin guards so when I first got them I thought they were a little big. After trying them on they felt super comfortable and didn't move to the side as much as other shin guards when I used them. I'm 5'6 and I ordered a medium, the padding goes up to below the knee which is great because it doesn't restrict my movement and kicks. Honestly, it's a good price for good shin guards. The only thing I'm worried about in the future is that the elastic band that wraps around your foot at the bottom will either stretch too much and not hold or rip off.

Rubber snapped
One of the rubbers snapped after a few classes, but overall they do their job as protective equipment.

Fit great! And easy to pack in my gym bag
The design is similar to fairtex sp3 but a quarter the price, the hook & loop feature is perfect for skinny legs and sparring sessions the compact size is perfect for shoving in your gym bag and travelling with the foot portion is really flexible and easy to move around in this is my preferred design of guards to wear
