Works great for Sciatic pain and back pain relief
This Acupressure set is one of the best tools that I have ever used to combat sciatic nerve pain and back pain. At first when it arrived it looked like a torture device due to the thousands of plastic spikes and It did feel really strange to lay on this but then after a few minutes something strange happened. I started to feel really, really relaxed, my back and neck felt warm and I felt the tension in my back dissolve. I called the company to find out the best ways to use this mat and a rep from the company recommended a few ways to use this Acupressure mat effectively. 1) When just starting out use this mat on a couch or bed as it will be more comfortable if you are just starting out with this. Using it on a stiff, hard surface like the floor doesn't provide much soft cushion and the spikes will push into your pressure points and tense areas. I wanted to use this right away on the floor but decided to wait until I have used the mat for a few sessions. Using it on the bed allowed me to watch House of Cards on Netflix and 30 minutes flew by. The second time I used it for over an hour and felt great. Every time I get up off the mat I feel like I am in my teenage years again as my back feels pain free, flexible and mobile. 2) The other way I was recommended to use this was to place it up against a computer chair and sit back against it with your back pressing into the spikes. This removes a large amount of initial tension as gravity is not there to press your back down into the mat. 3) The final recommended way to use the mat I was told is on the floor but only after you have some experience. I jumped onto the floor with my mat in my 4th session. This was intense but in a great way and I felt the best after using it this way however I did not have the luxury of watching tv from the floor so I turned on meditation music, closed my eyes and relaxed on the mat, on the floor for 30 minutes. About 25 minutes into my session I started to feel sleepy so I stopped at the 30 minutes mark. This mat relaxed me so much that I almost fell asleep on it which is not recommended at all due to the spikes. For my sciatic relief I use the neck pillow as it has a nice curved shape that lets me effectively target that area. **p.s.: Do not use this with a shirt on as the effects diminish. The way to reap great benefits from this mat is to use it shirtless. It might feel uncomfortable for the first few minutes but then your body gets used to it and you feel amazing.

Life changing and immediate pain relief.
I have had 3 back surgeries which were successful but bending still put me in pain. I had left shoulder surgery and 6 months ago had the nerve pain blocked on a disc in my neck. Neck is much better but muscles in the left side still tightened up daily. I was in physical therapy for past few months for neck and exercises helped some but still had a fair amount of pain. Last week my mat arrived. The first night it was painful to lie on but after 15 min I couldn't believe my neck pain was gone. By day 3 I was in love with it. Four days ago was the first time I attempted to mop the floors in about 17 years (my husband had to do them). When I finished my neck hurt a lot, my lower back was killing me and I had a headache. I couldn't wait to try the mat. I laid down on the mat and had the pillow under my neck. After 30-45 min my headache was gone, back pain 1/2 gone. My neck muscles were feeling better but still tight. I laid on each side 10 min with the neck pillow. Neck pain was completely gone! I got up and went back to work and a little later the remaining back pain was gone. It felt like a miracle. Before I would have had to lie in bed for days while taking muscle relaxers and some pain meds. I didn't take any meds this time. - when I read I just lie on the pillow. Now it feels heavenly to me as I move my neck around. I can feel endorphins being released. I also lie daily on mat for about 1/2 hour. The weird thing is since the very first night how deep my sleep has been. I am ready to start weaning myself off of sleep meds slowly. I really feel like this is a miracle and have told several people about it already. Also, my neck muscles were always rock hard and I have ringing in the ears. The ENT doc said blood was not getting through. I still have ringing but it has gone from an 8 to a 3-4. Yesterday, I thought something was not working on our washing machine. My husband said it always did that. I could never hear it before because of the ringing~ I am sending my son-in-law one as he is a veteran who suffers in a lot of chronic pain. -- this has helped me more than massages ever did and I think insurance companies should give them to anyone who suffers with muscular pain. It would save them a ton of money in meds. - tip: to lie on the mat with the least amount of pain, put the mat on the bed and sit down next to it. Stretch out and slowly roll yourself on to it. The closer you are to the mat the less painful. The mat still is painful to lie on after a week, though it greatly helps, but the pillow feels great right away. Another tip, when lying on the side with your neck on the pillow, use a piece of cloth under your ear or a pillowcase.

This vs pranamat
This mat worked great for my posture, lower back pain, leg pain and hip pain. I could find no clear reviews on mats like these vs the expensive Pranamat. I didn’t want to make an investment in the pranamat before trying this acupressure technique. After getting use to the prickliness of this mat and reaping the benefits I decided it was time to invest in the pranamat. The pranamat is WAY more prickly and even after using this mat without clothing I find it challenging to get use to the pranamat but super beneficial. The quality of the prana is unmatched and is definitely worth every penny. My plan is to have several of the above mats (for home, work, travel) and to have one pranamat (due to cost and prickliness) for intense sessions. I believe that any of these mats will provide some benefits but for supreme benefit pranamat is the way to go. I hope this helps.

Great relief for neck and back tension
The neck and back pain relief is definitely real with this mat and pillow. I love laying on it after a long day, especially when my neck and upper back feel tight or sore. It helps relieve tension and relax my muscles, and I feel noticeably better after using it. It is a simple way to unwind and ease discomfort at home. This is also much more affordable than getting acupuncture, and it gives a similar relaxing effect. I find myself reaching for it regularly as part of my self care routine. Highly recommend if you deal with neck or back tension and want an easy and cost effective option.

MIracle for SI joint/postpartum/pelvis/low back
Short story: this mat is a miracle and every day I am amazed at the nearly immediate pain relief, my increased range of motion, and general "Hey! I can almost walk like a normal person!" improvements. I have a $400 infrared mat that did absolutely nothing for my back pain and inflammation. Issues: Pinched nerves, SI joint pain, sacrum, post-partum, pregnancy, pubic symphisis disorder, weak core. Long story: I purchased this because I was at the end of my rope. 6 years ago during pregnancy, something in my sacrum got out of whack. 3 years ago in a subsequent pregnancy, my pelvis became dislocated. My lower back and my left SI joint frequently "creak" and can be achy. A few weeks ago in a yoga class, I did a spinal twist followed by a deep squat and felt my lower left back open. Wow- it was an incredible and wonderful feeling! I felt like so much tension had been released! I went home and told my husband about it and couldn't believe how much more flexible my back was after that, until... a week ago, when my lower back began to get very stiff. Then I would have a spasm. Then the spasms progressively got more and more painful, to the point where now they can drop me straight to the ground. The inflammation must have gotten to a point where now nerves are being pinched. The pain is immense. Simple acts like lifting the lid of the toilet and putting on shoes have become endeavors. This mat offers INSTANT relief. Instant. It's unreal. It hurts so bad, then hurts so good, then it's just warm and pulsating, then it's incredibly deep relaxation. It's better than valium. For real. I wish they made this in belt form so I could wear it along my lower back while attempting to be a functional human.

Mat is far superior to others - spikes are perfect "sharpness"
You can now stop researching mats and just get this one since it is the best! The challenge with these mats is that there is NOT a standard for comparing how sharp or long the spikes are. So whether you buy one in a store or online, it is really a guess. But with this review, I am taking the guess-work out for you! I bought my sister a different mat and it was sooooo sharp, I couldn't even lay on it for more than a minute and I have been using an acupressure mat for over 4 years! There was NO pushing through and I also have a very high pain tolerance. Everyone that I have let try this Nayoya mat has been able to lay on it without any issues. Yes, it is a little uncomfy at first as it should be. It feels a little pinchy since it is doing myofascial release, then it gets hot feeling and then you feel your muscles pulsate as the blood is moving through your muscles as it should be. Then, you don't feel anything and you decide if you are done with your session or if you want to move a little and get more places. This is really nice to do as the last thing in your day since it is very grounding and it just releases all the tension. It is high quality and has lasted my 4+ years! My son started using it all the time so I gave him mine and ordered a brand new one and it is just as good of quality as the one I bought 4 years ago. You will love it!

I'm FINALLY PAIN FREE!!! Best investment I've made in years! Update, gave 1st one to a sufferer and I bought a replacement!
I was skeptical, but decided to go ahead and purchase this based on hundreds of positive reviews. I am so glad I did!!! This is my new relaxation and pain relief for lower back pain, compressed disc issues, and the stiffness that comes from aging and osteoarthritis. I will never be without this kind of mat again. It is that good. I feel as good as I used to feel when I took Celebrex (which I'm now allergic to and cannot take), or Prednisone. I am overjoyed that I have found pain relief that is healthy, and doesn't involve steroids and OTC anti-inflammitories. My initial use was with the thin shirt between my bare skin and the prickle pads. When I laid on it, I could tell it just wasn't going to do the job as intended unless I bit the bullet and laid on it with bare skin. I laid the Accupressure Mat down on the living room rug, in front of a cleared coffee table. I took my shirt and bra off and laid on the mat making certain that my bare tailbone was also on the mat. I used the pillow for my neck, and partially on my head/ hair. My arms were straight out to my sides (kind of like a Tee), and my legs went up on the coffee table bent at the knees (to keep my back flat on the mat, even where my spine curves). I had a soft blanket covering my bare body for warmth and modesty. To say the least, it was not comfortable. I felt a burning sensation all over my back, and it was strongest in the areas which have the most pain and were in the greatest need of therapy. Based on the reviews of other users, I decided to tough it out. It was not easy, but it was well worth the discomfort/ pain. Within 10 minutes, the burning subsided to comfortable warmth and the pain subsided to something that must have been quite bearable, because I fell asleep. I woke up about an hour later and realized I had inadvertently taken a nap on the mat. I got up and realized all my aches, pains, and sciatica in my back and left leg were GONE!!! I could bend over, bend backwards, was extremely flexible, and had no pain! This is a miracle for me! I've always been active, but the pain from my job and aging has caused me to become more sedentary because it hurts to move. It's a vicious cycle... I'm 57, and work 8 to 12 hour shifts standing on cement and tile. I wear support knee socks, orthotic inserts for plantar faciiitis, and special Birkenstock shoes to mitigate the problems caused by my environmental conditions. I have Osteo Arthritis in my hip, back, feet, and neck. i've been loosing flexibility, and when I come home from work, I'm so stiff and the pain's so bad, I hobble from my car bent over like I'm in my 70's or 80's. It's hard to believe that such an inexpensive (cheap!), simple, natural remedy as this Accupressure Mat is more effective for me than exercise, pain meds, Steroids, and Anti-inflammatories. Somehow, it is. I have told everyone in my family about it, and it's going to be my go-to gift of choice for everyone from here on out.

Pain relief!! Very thankful for this quality product!
I have chronic pain in my right pelvic area, due to nerve damage from an unfortunate cut during a c-section. Our child is 2.5 years old now, and I can, without a doubt, tell you that I know what it is to live in chronic daily pain. My nerve damage makes it hard to sit, stand, walk, and hold my child. While having daily chronic pelvic pain, I've also had 3 herniated bulging discs in my back- the last flare up was in the spring of 2013. When my back is hurting, it makes my already painful life a little harder to bare. Cortisone shots helped soothe that flare up, and a year went by without huge flare ups from my discs in my lower back. In September of 2014 though, that changed. I had to use crutches to walk or stand- as the bones in my back and pelvis were so painful and unsteady, I wasn't able to stand without the support. My quality of life these past few months has been quickly fading. Unable to leave the house, take my toddler places, or even go to the grocery store. My only outings are to the doctor, physical therapy, chiropractor, and pain doctor. I just turned 30 in October- bleak outlook indeed. I received an amazon giftcard for my birthday, and began looking up some back massage items when I stumbled across this "best back pain relief" by Nayoya Wellness- an acupressure mat. As I read the reviews, I thought it sounded too good to be true, but I *did* have that giftcard, so I decided to go for it- hoping so much for even a little pain relief. What a happy day when it arrived! (Fast 2 day shipping, thanks to Amazon Mom.) my husband and I looked it over and I decided to try it out immediately. It seems odd to say, but the "pain" of the acupressure points against my skin seemed to be an immediate welcome. Like a different, smaller type of pain that my brain could understand - rather than the intensity of my discs, and nerve damage. That was only the beginning though! Within a few minutes I started to feel my heartbeat In my back, especially my lower back- and then all of a sudden, like a "whoosh" my back heated up with the internal heat of my own blood supply, soothing the aching discs. I LOVE this mat! My husband also uses it every night after he gets home from work, and we even bought a second one because my parents loved it so much. It is a true pain reliever, and I'm so happy we took the chance and ordered it. It is a quality made item, and one I have bragged up to all of my family, and even put a link to it's amazon page on my Facebook page- in order to share the relief with anyone else who needs it.
