Works great.
I have a parasitic drain on my truck battery that I haven't been able to track down. If it sits unused for 3-4 days I have a dead battery. Installed this before I went on a trip to see my grandchildren. Used it to cut off the battery before leaving and and the to cut the battery back in when I returned. Worked perfectly. Was easy to fit in place.

A Great Idea!
This fit my old top post battery as advertised but did require some machining to install. Had to drill and tap for the cable connection. I stripped off the old connector on the negative cable, found a brass bolt in my junk pile and had it on the car in about 15 minutes. Now I don't have to take the cable off to work on the electricals.

Not as Good as Other Designs
I have used the swing bar design of battery cutoff switch for many years and really like them. Decided to try this screw knob type. I learned quickly that the screw mechanism can loosen on dirt roads. The manufacture quality is just ok. I will replace this one as soon as I return home from this trip.

Keeps my battery from dying on rarely used truck
I saw these things in car magazines, and they really work. I have a truck I don't drive much, and I have to continually recharge the battery. After installing this beauty, no more. Months later it'll start right up. The fact that it can be used as a theft deterrent was an extra value I'd never thought of. If parking outside overnight in Atlanta, you can bet I'll unplug the battery with a twist of the wrist. Very easy to install. Make sure you order the right size. Thanks !!

Do not buy
Poor fit on terminal. Cant widen the clamp because the metal is very brittle and will break instead of bend. Pencil post not fitted nor long enough to prevent contact when switch nob is unscrewed

Make sure they're tight
Work well on my dual battery setup. I can imagine times I'd need to rapidly disconnect batteries, and so I fitted this to both. I had charging issues, which I realized were due to not tightening this enough - tricky in the confined space I have. Make sure it's right, and it works very well.

Problem solver.
Having issues with an old vehicle and was able to use this to stop the battery from draining. Now I don’t need to disconnect the cable with a tool each time. Just turn the knob to put on or off.
