Great phone, great camera, excellent battery life
Bought 2. The phones arrived in excellent condition, both physically and functionally. One arrived with a defective charging cable (the phone and charger block are both OK). Amazon gave me a few bucks credit and I bought a replacement cable here. So no stars taken off. Bought these for a jewelry store for taking pictures of various items. The camera in this device is simply excellent, and there's plenty of storage built-in. They upload these pictures anyway, but the storage in the phone is quite good. The phone doesn't support 5G but we're not using these as a phone, just as a camera. If you do want to use these as phones, the 4G that the phones have just might be good enough for you. The phone supports 3G (which is now obsolete) and 4G. The store now has four of these phones. How's that for a recommendation?

Renewed Pixel 3 XL looks like new
I've had mixed luck with buying refurbished phones from Amazon, but so far this one seems good. It is fully functioning and cosmetically looks like new. This is the third Pixel 3XL I've owned. The first one I bought new, and it lasted about four years. The second was refurbished through Amazon, but the wi-fi and Bluetooth failed a few months after the eligible for return date. The key words I looked for with this one were "factory unlocked." Unfortunately, I bought a refurbished Pixel 6, which was "unlocked" by someone tampering with the bootloader, and as a result I can't use it with a Square POS device. That's why I bought this Pixel 3XL. This one works like a charm with Square, which is my main use for it, and I use the Pixel 6 as my regular phone. I bought my original Pixel 3XL in 2018, so it's an older model. The camera isn't quite as good as the one on my Pixel 6, and it only supports up to Android 12 and Google no longer provides updates, but if you don't need a top-of-the-line camera, this is a great phone.

Charger sucks and no headphone adapter
Update: The company graciously sent me a new charger that works perfectly after writing to them. Phone is good. Arrived 7 days earlier than expected. Came with very cheap charger. The phone charged after several hours, but my phone did not recognize that the charger was in (no vibration, no sound, no lightning bolt) but after day 3, after 4 hours, the charger only charged 4 percent. Will have to purchase new charger

Outstanding Performance, Great Value
I have owned 5 or 6 Android phones over the years. The Pixel 3 XL is far superior to any of them. The screen is large with excellent resolution and color rendering. It is fast and scrolls quickly and smoothly. I use Android Auto frequently and this phone automatically unlocks and connects to my car display every time. That was not the case with my previous Motorola phone. Downloads and video streaming are very fast and smooth with no buffering. The camera is stellar, you won't be disappointed in the photos. It also has 64GB of storage which is more than enough for most users. The backside fingerprint reader is super fast and works every time. I was unsure whether I would like the rear mounted reader, but it is easier to use than the front mounted one on my previous phone. This is a small thing, but I really like that the time is displayed even when the screen is off. Google Assistant is also available for use when the screen is off. That makes checking the time and using voice commands more convenient. Overall, this is a great performer and a great value.

Looks like new, fully unlocked as well (with a quirk)
You never know what you're going to get when you get a refurb from a 3rd party. I can say that I was pleasantly surprised by my Pixel 3 XL. It looks like new, the screen is flawless. It also came with a thin case on it which I wasn't expecting! Now, I did encounter a quirk when 1st trying to use the phone on Visible (Verizon MVNO). The first step I took was to setup the phone with my account and load my backup from Google Drive. I then updated to Android 10. I popped in my already active sim and it stated my device is locked! Bummer! I decided to google a bit and it seems as though I needed to first perform a factory reset before installing my sim. So I did a factory reset then re-added my account. As soon as I did that I got a notification that my device was unlocked for use on any carrier! I popped the Visible sim back in a had full voice, texting, and data. So, my advice to anyone who buys one of these would be to do a full factory reset after updating to Android 10 before popping your sim in. Otherwise, the phone is excellent. The speed and camera are still excellent despite being a year old.

Broken right out of the box
This booted up with my SIM out of my current phone very nicely and I was excited. Phone does have lots of bangs and scratches on it for sure... So I get everything up and running and wifi will not connect and there is a constant message about bluetooth not responding. About every 15 seconds the box pops up. I have tried factory restart and safe mode. Seller thegadgetdeals is being uncooperative as well, wanting to charge me a restocking fee for a phone they sold me that was broken. Something that is claimed to be sold Amazon refurbished should be a little more dependable.

Great Phone and Great Deal
The phone arrived earlier than expected, and was packaged very safely. I personally have the Google Pixel 3a XL but it was time for my wife to get a phone and this deal could not be passed up. This is a refurbished phone so the warranty was only for 3 months, but the seller offered to extend that to a year if we left feedback We are very happy with the phone so far, my wife loves it. Phone charges fast (it came with a charger).

Always a Gamble with Refurbished
Having had a pixel before, I knew what to expect. That being said, I never had a refurbished one. I should have just sprung for something new. It looks great, absolutely no scratches. Really had my fingers crossed knowing that the battery can't be replaced in a pixel. Naturally, that's the main issue with this device. It holds a charge but drains so quickly even without much use. Sometimes it will get hot. I'm certain the battery will be toast before long. Also, there are certain areas on the screen that don't respond well to touch. For example, I'll often have to press the a on the keyboard button multiple times in order for it to register. Not an issue with other letters, so it's clearly a case where the previous owner really liked using the letter a! I did contact the seller, who asked for the ID number on the device but frankly, with all the trouble setting up a new device etc I decided to just live with the issues and always have a charger nearby. Just don't have the time or inclination to deal with it. Lesson learned. Sometimes a refurbished device is just great. It's a gamble. Next time I'll just buy new.
