Nice for a subcompact grapple project.
My first hydraulic project, designed and made the grapple. It works quite well after some fitting pains with the hoses and alignment. Excellent grip for logs up to 8’ x 12”. No Zirks so you have to do your own grease fittings.

Not for heavy use
I bought this for building a laser plane for a mini skid steer and it’s ok but the biggest issue I have with it is, when it’s not connected to anything it drifts down and the blade isn’t very heavy, maybe 100-120 lbs. the valve is new so I know that’s not the issue. If your looking for a cheap cylinder that doesn’t have to hold weight in the air I would recommend this one but overall I’m not sure I would buy this one again. I’m sure in a horizontal application it would do great but vertical use isn’t its strong suit.

Does not fit JD 4R
The distance from the pin to the cylinder is too short to fit a JD 4R bracket. Be sure to measure your tractor bracket hole distance and check the specs on this unit.
