Fast speed, robust performance
I love the fast speed of the 3.0 USB drive. I would estimate that this writes about 6x as fast as a 2.0, but this is just an estimate, not a real test. The flash drive has two partitions, which are treated as separate devices. The first partition is visible when you plug the flash drive in. If your computer is set up to run an executable program from the flash drive (autorun), then the encryption interface starts automatically. If your computer does not run things automatically from the flash drive, then you have to go to the directory and click on the executable file. Once you enter the password, the hidden partition becomes visible as a normal device. I have tried some other encryption drives that install software onto the computer, and the software can have glitches or just flat out not run on certain computers. One such device got corrupted in the process of installing software, and it totally stopped working. I could not even format it to use it as a normal flash drive. The nice thing about this device is that the first partition which accesses the encryption software is read only. (Actually, I think the "software" is firmware embedded in the hardware.) You can only run the encryption software, but you cannot modify it. This prevents corruption of the encryption software. The encryption software runs perfectly on various computers. Nothing needs to be installed on the computer, as it launches from the flash drive. This is handy if you are borrowing a computer and you do not want to have to install something. It performs perfectly for me, in terms of speed, robustness, and convenience. A laptop with password protection is nowhere near as secure as this drive with a password. I just carry the encrypted USB drive separately, and access is quick and easy. Due to the speed of the 3.0 drive, I can copy all the files I want to carry around in just a few minutes. This has a higher level of encryption than some other encrypted drives, and it will shut down and reformat after 6 failed password attempts. If you are considering an encrypted flash drive, I recommend this one. I would stay away from the ones that need to install software on your computer, as you may end up here anyway when that one fails.

so far so good
usb 3.0 is fast, I would not get a usb 2.0 personally it is that different, usb case is sturdier than my Lexar 64Gb software based encrypted flashdrive which I had to return due to failure after a short time. What is better than the Lexar is the software works better (maybe due to hardware based encryption). The Lexar one is like a usb flasdrive with an encryption program added , which was flaky and froze up all the time. The integral usb flashdrive has file folders that are just like a windows folder, you can do partial file name searches, sort files by type (Lexar one all show up as ENC files), etc. Both run on windows7 pc and require no admin rights to run, but it is more expensive than the Lexar by twice. I would have gotten a 64Gb one but it is not available yet on this model, and the price would have been too high, so I can wait till the price drops on the 64Gb when it comes out, as long as this one does not flake out like the Lexar.

product good, instructions are lacking and you need a microscope to see the print.
Once I figured out how to make the encryption part work this flash drive worked well.

Like everything else in the tech world, this product has gotten worse with time
I've used an older version (32 GB purchased in 2019) that works great. This one requires that the login application remains open at all times. Otherwise, it logs out and unmounts the drive. First, this does not improve security. But if you accidentally close the application, it immediately starts logging out. The catch is that they couldn't even program this function properly. If there are still open files, it freezes. Did they fire all actual developers and no longer test their code? I'll try another brand, but even if I don't find an alternative, I won't return to this one (have been using it since 2013). Tech companies should learn to just keep what works and not try to constantly "improve". There are things that are optimal and don't need any messing with. You can only make them worse. And lose customers.

Der USB-Stick ist sehr einfach zu bedienen. Die Verschlüsselung ist schnell genug und nach 10 fehlgeschlagenen Passwortversuchen werden die Daten effektiv gelöscht. Sehr zufrieden.
