In award-winning author Ben Mikaelsen’s riveting sequel to the acclaimed word-of-mouth bestseller Touching Spirit Bear , readers will be captivated by what Booklist calls a “hugely satisfying resolution.” Life in the wilderness—exiled from civilization as a punishment for his violent behavior—had its own set of hurdles, but for fifteen-year-old Cole Matthews, it's returning home and facing high school that feels most daunting. With gangs and physical altercations haunting the hallways of their school, Cole and his former victim Peter—who Cole has now become friends with—must face it all together. So when Peter’s limp and speech impediment make him a natural target for bullies, Cole’s suppressed rage comes bubbling to the surface a lot quicker than he anticipated. Will he throw everything away that he learned on the healing, remote Alaskan island? In this tale of survival and self-awareness, Cole realizes it's not enough to change himself. He has to change his world. Review: Great book! - My 10 year old son loved this book series! He had a hard time putting the book down and finished reading it in one day. Review: good book - I read touching spirit bear while I was incarcerated for my actions out of anger and I could really see myself through the book after I went through a program to help me deal with things I got out and found out there was a 2nd book ghost of spirit bear and I loved the first one so I had to read it and I am so glad I did both books together is like an exact copy of my life before and after I went through a program to change I highly recommend to everyone because we all have anger problems it’s just how we deal with it that needs looked at aometimes

Ghost of Spirit Bear
As with his other books, Ben Mikaelsen does another excellent job with Ghost of Spirit Bear. The story line kept me interested although the ending was fairly predictable (thus the four star rating).

Perfect sequel
I enjoyed this book as much as Spirit Bear it was great to see the story come to an end in a positive way. Uplifting and encouraging! These two should be mandatory reading for school age students.

An excellent read for middle schoolers touching on a topic
An excellent read for middle schoolers touching on a topic, sadly, known to school children today--bullying. This book spotlights several sensitive areas such as parental neglect/abuse, substance abuse, school bullying and intimidation. It also focuses on solutions for these problems which can come from students working with administration/ adult leaders. It demonstrates that first we must learn to govern ourselves before we can help others. It touches on anger and forgiveness and reparation. There is a sequel which needs to be read to complete the story.

Touching spirit bear and ghost of spirt bear are my two favorite books of all time
Worth a read. A re-read. A listen and more. The journey these books lead you on is one that all should walk in hand.

It could of been much better.
It was an okay follow up to a great book. But sadly it lacked in being realistic and imagination compared to the first book.
