What is this paste like on a i7-7700k?

Very good I use it for i9 9900ks and it's perfect

Will this detoriorate in the post and/or become firm in the tube when stored?

I bought a tube about 6/7 years ago, never opened it until today. It's perfect and has fixed my PC, my graphics card was crashing - Black screen, fans on full speed. Cleaned off old paste, re-applied this new paste even though tube was 6/7 years old, and faults fixed!

Would this work on a Ryzen 9 3900X?

This should work with all cpus as long as its on the point where the heatspreader connects with the cpu cooler
