KODAK 35mm Slide and Film Viewer - Battery Operation, 3X Magnification, LED Lighted Viewing – for 35mm Slides & Film Negatives

I inherited a few thousand 35 mm slides. I need to go through them to see which ones I want to digitally scan. This product is most economical answer I could find and super simple to use. The screen is bigger than I thought, but still on the small side. Some slides I'm reviewing will have to be scanned and enlarged because I couldn't see the details, but that's ok because I'm kind of on a family picture treasure hunt. It came with a USB plug in or you can use your own batteries so it is convenient to power up. The light is bright enough although sometimes I wish it was a tad brighter. Not a big issue, more of a personal preference. You simply drop the slide in the slot in the top and look at it in the viewer. You then push the button on the side to drop it to the lower tray when done. Super easy. Very low tech and easy. A couple of slides git hung up, but barely jiggling it allowed them to drop through. This is a slide viewer and does not seam like it would be good for trying to look at slides and take pictures with a phone to blow them up. Use a product designed for scanning for that kind of project. This is like a big single view window Viewmaster and worth the price for a project like mine where I am trying to go through slides to see which ones I want to scan.

Great product. I ordered it to review old family slides. It worked perfectly.

This was easy to use, but the slides kept getting caught when you released them. I used a large paper clip to gently push the slide on through when they stuck. I found that pushing the release button quick and firm made it better. A little annoying, but better than paying a much higher price for the better viewers. I was able to see my slides, get them sorted and am now having them digitized.

I found it very easy to use this slide viewer. It has a on-off switch so you can easily view each slide as it is input into the slot. It also has the a slot so you can look at a strip of negatives if you want to see which one you want to print. Of course if you don't have your slide film in holders you can look at the film using this slot. It uses 4 AA batteries but it also has a AC cord which would be handy for long term viewing. Overall I'm very pleased with this slide viewer and highly recommend it.

This item mostly met expectations, although the slide pass through was inconsistent even with firm pressure applied to the pass through button. The other issue I had was with the brightness of the background lighting. It would be helpful were it either brighter or adjustable to allow for better viewing of darker slides. In all though it enabled me to view older slides that I had not looked at In many years. If I could give 3-1/2 stars I would have done that versus 3.

It worked great and was so simple to use. Press a button to turn it on, put the slide in the slot, look through a nice 4 inch viewing area and then press the eject button to pop out. I think the quality is great, not cheaply made. It’s fun!

Fun looking at old slides. Worth the price to know what you want prints of.
