Worked out perfectly for both of my 29 yr old Chamberlain’s . Both had stripped out gears . These were fairly easy to install after watching a few YouTube videos. Saved me a ton of money because I was getting ready to drop $500 on 2 new openers .

Perfect fit, lube gears install and minor adjustment on door travel, door works great

The kit was cheap, arrived quickly and worked as advertised. I was fixing a broken shaft issue that I didn’t understand until I opened the unit, after the kit arrived. I only used the main part and the grease but the kit has everything to rebuild unit (outside of the motor). Some reviews recommend a tap and die for the mount holes. 1 of the 3 were crooked but that is far from critical, in my opinion.

Day 1 review: Good product. Easy to install. Since the screw holes are not pre-threaded, thread them with the screws before installing the gear set.

I was looking for a quick fix for my old SEARS 1/3 HP garage door opener. The gear had shredded itself and was no longer operating. Although my re-installation of the replacement gear was a bit harder than most YouTube video walkthroughs (due to limited space of where the motor was installed), the replacement gear and sprocket kit worked perfectly. The included grease and spare parts were awesome, and I'm glad I went with this kit over getting (1)just the gear, and (2)another kit that didn't include the plastic lock on the lower gear mounted to the rod. My garage door opener was so old that the grease had become adhesive. The bottom plastic lock was essentially glued in place and broke when I tried to remove it. Had I not ordered this kit, which included that lock, I would have had a bigger headache figuring out what to replace it with. I will add that it's quite important that you add the grease. I tried testing the motor with the new gear before greasing it, and the plastic-on-plastic (without grease) friction already caused some of the plastic of the gear to grind away. Oops. Let my mistake be your salvation! My SEARS garage door opener is no longer up to code, so it'll have to be replaced anyhow, but a $20'ish temporary fix to get me through the winter and severely cold (DIY working) month is a blessing.

Like many others, the top of the drive shaft and drive sprocket slowly wore and broke off. The work to remove everything and putting it back together was not overly hard. I used a drill-driver, screwdriver, and pliers. This kit comes with more parts than I needed, but great to have them on hand. Shipping was fast and my garage door was repaired in less than 24-hours from when it broke. This is priced well and for under $20 my garage door was back to working. Love to fix things myself in a world where so many would either pay someone to come do this or buy a new garage door opener. You can find many videos on how to do this work on YouTube.

El producto cumple con las expectativas requeridas, un poco complicado de reemplazar por la parte que originalmente se daño, pero con un poco de paciencia, quedo mejor de lo esperado. Viene con los reemplazos necesarios para hacer la correcta colocación. En caso que no tengan la paciencia para el cambiarlo es recomendable contratar a personal especializado, ya que en algunos momentos si es tedioso estar maniobrando en las alturas (donde comúnmente se encuentran los motores), ademas que si requiere sapiencia el ajustar los máximos de apertura y cierre.
