Small package big sound.
Jamo Studio Series S 810 Sub woofer was purchased to replace a Polk Audio PSW10 because it can fit into a smaller space. Overall I'm pretty happy with the sound. I don't crank my system and play loudly as I listen mostly to jazz but there are those occasions where I need just a little more bottom to fill out the sound a little. These are not being used to watch movies; music only. They work wonderfully for that and can get quite loud if you prefer things that way. The build quality is very nice with the exception of the mounting pins for the speaker grill, if you're not careful when removing the grill you can easily break them off. There are other comments here about the location of the controls are in an inconvenient location at the bottom of the unit. Not sure where those folks expected it to be at if you are purchasing a unit whose design is intended to allow it to fit in spaces where other traditional cube shaped subs cannot fit. You have basically 4 directions you can place or direct this sub, one side of which is the speaker grill, which would be limited to 3 if the controls where on one of the sides. My only issue and it is a small issue is that the included audio cable is a bit flimsy but I'll pick up a better quality right angled one or adapter when I get around to it. Everything works well and it does not detract from the sound of my main speakers and it looks great in the corner where I placed it. Compared to the previous Polk Audio PSW10, this sub sounds better with a tighter less boomy response. By the way, it is made by Klipsch.

Great Budget Subwoofer
The controls on the bottom could be something to consider, I was able to set it and adjust output through the avr. The bass response is not the best for music, this is not an "audiophile" subwoofer but it does get the job done. Works great in the family room surround setup for movies. For the cost of this sub, actually every part of this Jamo line, the performance far outweighs the cost. We have the S809 fronts, S83 center, and S801s for surround duty. The WAF is great, she loves the looks and I catch her using it when I'm not home, which I think is great. If you're looking for a subwoofer around this price you will not be disappointed. FYI, Jamo is owned by Klipsch if you didn't already know.

It's fine for the budget and application.
It's okay. More muddy than punchy, but the price and size are unique and it is an okay value for what I needed: a small sub that I could use with some powered studio monitors. Pretty steep fall of below 40Hz and not especially good bass control. Other Klipsch subs sound much better but have bigger overall volume and take up more space. It's nice to have the crossover control on the back. The amp seems fine for the task. I didn't really evaluate its claimed 150W, but that might be into a pretty low impedence load. It gets loud enough, just becomes more dull at higher volumes, and I equalized it for a flat EQ setup with my monitors, so it's really just filling in from 40-100 Hz. If you have physical space, consider a different subwoofer, including other Klipsch subs that sound much more precise, especially at lower frequencies. Workmanship and appearance are good for the price.

Great Bass sound and value for a small room
I needed this to round out my sound for my home office (converted bed room) I was running two Jamo's S 803 bookshelf speakers and a center channel. Just needed a bass to round it out. This item was perfect for my setup. Very easy to hook up, comes with all the cords , nice looking and seems well made. Can't say it would be optimal for a huge space but for a regular room (14X10) room it is more than adequate. i think it sounds great. Really happy with all the Jamo speakers would highly recommend.

Fairly priced. Not the best, but the “bests” out there are just too expensive. It’s good enough.
It’s a very good subwoofer. PROVIDED, that you take the time to properly calibrate it. I suppose that is true for pretty much any sub, but this is especially true for the Jamo S810. At regular 12 hour position for volume and crossover it’s simply too loud, and it does get a bit distorted. But you can and should play with the dials, carefully listening to make sure the sound coming out is nice (best) for YOUR ears (each person will have a personal preference). Price-wise, I find it’s relative to each person. A rich guy will find it ridiculously cheap. A regular person may find it to be properly priced at around US$200. I feel the sweet spot would have been $150. It’s a tad overpriced for what you get. I’ve definitely heard better subwoofers... But at a much steeper price. I love the design and build quality. It’s superb. With the exception that the controls are at the BOTTOM of the unit. It’s a pain when, if you play something that differs too much from the regular content you usually listen to, you may want to adjust those controls. But since they are inaccessible, at the unit’s bottom, your only recourse is to pick the entire unit up, flip it 180 degrees, adjust the dials, then repeat the process backwards to properly sit the unit back to its intended position. I do understand that placing the wire connectors at the bottom is a good idea to make them less obtrusive, but the controls definitely do not belong there. I’m fairly satisfied with my purchase (after I fine tuned it). I recommend it for those wanting not to spend too much money and still get a fairly good subwoofer. Be well, R. UPDATE: After a few days living with this subwoofer, properly tuned, I can say it is the highlight of the 5.1 Jamo speaker system I bought. Very nice subwoofer, despite the details I already mentioned in my original review. Bottom line: Go for it! Just don't expect more than what you are paying for.

Sonido espectacular!!!

A lot bigger
I was expecting a subwoofer about 1:2 the size; I wasn’t disappointed at all, this thing made a huge difference in my surround sound.

Elegante y funcional
