My first tent
This is the first tent I've owned and I'm impressed with how easy it was to put up and pack away. I didn't read the instructions but it was still simple enough to put up. The inner fly has colour coordinated clips and I was able to construct with no issue. It's lighter than my sleeping bag and takes up less room. It survived a night of rain and hight winds with no leaking. Could do with a ceiling loop on the inner fly. Good stuff.

Classic Vango tent, great value.
Bought the Scafell 300 for car camping. I was using a Vango Tryfan 200 but kept getting wet from condensation on entering and leaving the tent. The Scafell has the porch area which eliminates this problem. It doesn't eliminate condensation but one can avoid brushing against a wet inner flysheet. I also wanted an area to sit and cook in and the porch area is ideal. However, I've had to buy a slightly smaller folding chair as height is limited. The porch adds a degree of luxury. The groundsheet is OK but pressure points will lead to seepage. I've put a waterproof footprint underneath and that solves the problem. The tent is polyester; I prefer that as nylon tends to go saggy and stretch in wet weather. Not as strong as nylon, nor as light, but has a 'warmer' more solid feel and dries out quicker than nylon. The tent just 'feels' like a tent should feel. What I really like it that the tent can be pitched all in one so is ideal for the British rainy climate. Ventilation is good and though the inner door doesn't have a mesh secondary, the door can be left open on balmy nights as the porch provides protection. I guess creepy crawlies could enter though? It would be a push for three people. I use a camp bed, that just fits, and with kit is an ideal long stay single person tent. The flysheet is definitely waterproof and the hoop structure gives it strength in the wind, with well placed guys providing additional security on windy nights. All in all, it's an ideal tent for the English wet and windy weather. Not so sure about Scotland in the Winter so probably a 3-season tent. Bit heavy for backpacking too unless split between two or more campers. Classic good value Vango tent in a traditional colour. Would highly recommend.

Good for hiking and longer camping trips
Easy to put up, very sturdy design and unlike lots of tents I’ve had the bag is comfortably big enough to fit the tent - this means no messing around having to roll a wet tent up perfectly to get it in the bag, can literally wrap it up and Chuck it in if you’re in a rush. Tent squashes down pretty small, I have carried it in my 50L pack before ans still fit clothes and sleeping bag. Compression straps help with this. Could definitely fit 3 people in but I’ve always used with 2 as like the extra space. Front section is a game changer for storing pack and gear. Can easily fit 3 packs and have room to lay boots and stuff out and still not get in your way when getting in and out. My one complaint would be that the inner linings ground sheet is not particularly waterproof or thick. If the ground is more than a little damp when you set up it’s going to come through in patches. Not a huge problem if you either carry a separate ground sheet or as long as you have a decent roll mat to keep you off the ground you don’t notice it .

Impressed with this 2.5Kg tent, perfect size for one with gear.
I was looking for a three season tent robust enough for UK weather above 1800ft. It had to suitable for solo backpacking, light enough, yet roomy enough for for one plus a 65 ltr rucksack. True, this is not the lightest tent, but stability and durability was my key concern. For this reason after much research into other light weight tents I came back to Vango a make I trust to make a tent suitable for UK wet and windy weather. I have fond memories of Cotton Force 10 tents back in the seventies. I have a Vango Equinox 350 which is almost thirty years old, which has stood up to the worst the Lake District could throw at it. Still as sound as the day I bought it, but rather large for one. So this tent has a lot to live up to. Initial thoughts, the materials seem robust, the groundsheet is where much of the weight has been saved. Whilst the groundsheet is not unduly thin, I have made a footprint out of an old survival bag for additional protection on rough ground. I have checked all the stitching, seams are tidy, zips work easily, pegs likely to bend on hard rocky ground. The tent goes up very quickly, having inner and fly attached is a real bonus in adverse weather. Packing away is equally simple. I love the easy stow compressible valise. The tent stows into the bottom pocket of my Osprey Kestrel 65 rucksack with ease, poles slip into main compartment. The tent offers a roomy interior for one with plenty of room for gear. Would not recommend 200 for two adults go for the 300. The inner tent provides enough headroom to sit up in without causing inner touching fly. The tent has a single circular zip entry to inner. The vestibule has sufficient room to stow muddy boots, along with wetproofs and cooking gear. In bad weather cooking is possible in vestibule whilst sitting under cover. I have attached two pegging straps to ensure fly is held open well away from stove. The tent is nice and bright inside with excellent ventilation. It has two decent inner pockets, but disappointed it did not have a light hook, so I added one. Whilst in lock- down testing this tent on the mountain has not been possible. I have tested the tent thoroughly in heavy rain, hailstorm and high winds. I have slept in the tent several nights with temperatures as low as 4C. The limited amount of netting on inner tent pays back by retaining heat. I am sure I can push the use into early spring and autumn. I can confirm the TBS (tension band system) makes Vango tunnel tents stable in adverse weather conditions. It is feature on my Equinox 350 , with is much longer wider and has a much higher profile and remains amazingly sturdy in extreme winds. All in all i believe extremely good value.

My new favourite tent.
I've had a Vango sleeping bag for years, recently purchased their thick and warm platinum XL sleeping mat(love it). I recently used this tent on a ten day bike packing trip through the outer Hebrides(Hebridean Way). It's the first tent I've owned where you erect the outer before attaching the inner. A wonderful design if you found yourself erecting the tent in wet weather, which we were fortunate not to experience. Another great feature is that you can leave the inner attached to the fly when packing. Not as simple and quick to erect as a free standing dome tent. I also learned to loosen the inner cross tensioner straps to make re erecting easier as every pitch was on different ground. The vestibule is large, it held all of our cycling gear, clothes and cooking gear with room to spare. The vestibule has no floor, which I knew when I bought it but the next time I use it I'll take a small tarp. Crawling in and out on your hands and knees would get mucky if the weather turned bad. There's also heaps of head room which is another reason why I bought this. Tent poles, zips and materials are of decent quality, not sure how waterproof it is but I've never had a tent that leaked. No condensation issues on our trip. At 50+ years old I can no longer deal with small tents for extended periods of time, the side effect of this is the added weight and volume of this size of tent, I just wasn't willing to fork out £500+ on a Hilleberg, MSR or Big Agnes tent of a similar size which are only 500grams to 1kg lighter. Its doubtful that it would fit between the handles on a drop handlebar bike. Edited to add. At a squeeze it'll just fit between my gravel bikes drop bars but not my road bike. I used my hardtail Orbea electric mountain bike on my Outer Hebrides trip. Photo taken at Eoligarry, a peninsula on Barra, Scotland. Looking forward to my next outing.

Ideal for motorcycle touring needs
Bought for motorcycle camping trips, used many times now, good size for one and all gear inside, especially when wet. Small packing size ideal for touring, easy to put up on your own.

Great 2-person tent which stood up to extreme weather (but difficult to erect by 1 person alone)
I bought this to replace a tent (the same model) I'd borrowed from a family member, then foolishly didn't allow to dry properly so it went mouldy. I didn't even use the borrowed tent in the end ... there were meant to be 2 of us using it (which there was ample room for) but the weather was dreadful that night and we were offered somewhere to sleep in a house!!! When we took the tent down the following day, however, despite the buffeting it had had from the wind & rain overnight it was perfectly dry inside, as was my camping gear inside it. So 10/10 for resilience! I gave it 4 stars out of 5 due to it being fiddly to put up; it took me over an hour which is way longer than it should have taken. I was erecting the tent alone and had to keep stopping to refer to the instructions, which was difficult because of the strong winds (which also blew the tent around and turned it inside-out a couple of times). I'd say that as with ANY tent, practise putting it up BEFORE you plan to use it; I'm not sure this would have helped much on this occasion, due to the wind. And I've definitely used tents in the past which were much easier and quicker to erect. Having said all that, the tent DID keep everything perfectly dry so was worth the effort! I regard Vango as a quality name - this is definitely a quality tent.

Huge - small hiking & festival tent.
This is a superb little - BIG tent! I bought it for a wild camping trip, kayaking along the River Wye earlier this October. Last year I did the same trip in a Vango NYX 200 tunnel tent, which I found too small with a very restrictive headroom. The Scarfell 300 tent is huge inside by comparison. Plenty of room for one person and all your gear, cosy with two people and quite tight for three people! Easy and quick to erect - it pins out and adjusts beautifully if in windy weather to elevate flapping. It features two identical sized tent poles which gives it an even and very generous head height when sat upright inside, I'm 6'2" and had plenty of room. If pitching in wet conditions, the inner tent very easily clips in & out allowing you to pitch the outer tent first, keeping the inner tent dry. My tip would be to pitch the tent on a folded piece of tarp the exact same overall size of the tent. This will protect the bottom of the tent from damp etc, and more importantly give you a dry area inside the large awning area. This I found really useful when entering and exiting to keep my sleeping area clean and dry. It all packs away into a very small bag, easily carried in a backpack, strapped to a bike or stowed in a kayak. I cannot recommend this great little tent enough! Good job Vango! The photo below, taken on the riverside - compares (at a distance) the Vango NYX 200, the Vango Scarfell 300 and the Vango Banshee 300.

La tienda es perfecta. Amplia, de calidad y de una marca de garantías.e falta probarla en el campo, pero en casa he hecho el simulacro y parece muy sencilla de montar.
