Does this fit the original piranta havalon or just the bolt?

It does not work properly with my original pirantaI have the original piranta havalon and the blade will slide on just like it should. The problem is when I flip the knife closed. The base of the blade hits one of the cross supports and it won't close completely. If you look at the base of the 60XT and the 60A you can see that the 60A has a "nose" on it and the 60XT does not. It is this "nose" that seems to be the culprit.

How is the 60XT different from the 60A blades?

From Havalon Website: "At 20% thicker and 30% stronger than our #60XT blade, we’ve improved our cutting edge sharpness with the #60A blade." The 60XT is the thinner, cheaper version designed to be more disposable.

What knife does this fit?

Havalon Piranta. They have a curved tip, not as pointed as most, good for skinning

Can this be used in placeof a 60a blade?

Yes you can. I use this blade for skinning cause it has a blunt tip and in my opinion it does not break as easy as the 60A
