This device delivers optimal Yellow, Red, and Near-Infrared light wavelengths which can positively react with mitochondria to repair and stimulate cellular regeneration. The red spectrum of light penetrates the skin deeper than other light spectrums to reach the hypodermis. It is this deeper penetration that allows the benefits to be so far reaching. As the deeper cells are impacted, photons can enter the blood stream and be distributed throughout your body. You may know that the food you eat is converted into Adenosine triphosphate (ATP). ATP is a complex organic chemical that participates in many processes and is often referred to as the “molecular unit of currency” for energy production. Skin depth varies around the body, and transmission can also be affected by skin pigmentation levels. Near infrared light has been used in therapeutic devices to assist in addressing a variety of injuries. NIR light penetrates more deeply than UV or visible light and is benign to living tissue. There is very little heat generated by the LED array and therefore no potential thermal injury to individuals being treated. When a single-frequency pulsed light hits the cell, it may stimulate the cell to start producing more protein than it normally does, as a result, the cell can heal faster. Even when the LED light source is taken away, the cell may continue its healing. I have yet to find another light therapy device that utilizes amber light, to treat sensitive rosacea prone skin. I have extremely sensitive, red skin, that reacts to everything. This is the only light that works without making my symptoms worse. I started off with five minutes, and then more time added slowly. Also, the red/amber light is very healing without making your skin red. I admit, there can be a design flaw with the plug; it jiggles. But if you are careful, and don’t bend the plug, this works just fine. It’s expensive, but really the only one of its kind, and worth it’s weight in gold. Review: Received used product ? Box and device Covered with brown/white flaky bits like bug parts :( - I like the idea of the product but I was grossed out when I opened the desertcart box (which was crushed on the edges; no additional padding added). The black product box was covered with white and brown specs of what looked like bug parts, or like crumbled drywall bits or something gross. Really hard to ignore it because it was all over the packing and product box and also on the inner velvety bag and on the light box. The remote also had tiny specs on it and did the kickstand. Either the warehouse has some kinda infestation, or they sent a used product. Guessing the latter since the product boxes sealing tab was bent out of shape, the bag that held the kickstand was ripped and looks like it has some stains on it the legs 🥺 For something that cost over a couple hundred dollars, I was expecting at least a sealed from factory item. Hard to miss the flaws with the black box, black velveteen bag and black frame and backing for the light box. All the yuck stuff stood out. I tried the product after wiping off all the crud, and it seems to work ok. I’m going to return and order another one tho, because the light box itself has scratches on it, so not sure if it was dropped or messed up when the previous person used it. All in all, looks like an ok product for the price, but it seems really fragile. To pair the device, you need to unplug the cord from the energy box. Do NOT pull it out without holding down the frame as you take out the plug . I was holding the plug only at first and the frame started lifting up. The battery case is also a pain to open - my hands are in good shape but I couldnt push/slide off the battery cover and had to get help. Will give it another chance since the yucky visual secondhand stuff may have been sent in error.
