I have been using Antec products for 20 years. I do pay a little extra for their Premium line. Not 1 has come back. A Great product, for a Great price that just WORKS.

I've been using Antec power supplies in all my builds for decades. I shoved this one in my old case with a new motherboard, CPU, GPU, RAM, etc, and it's getting the job done. My XFX Radeon 590 Fatboy video card sucks up 225w on its own but even with everything else in this system the power supply doesn't fade when playing graphics intensive games. Be sure to keep your total system load under the rated wattage of the power supply, plus a little margin.

In May of 2019, I purchased this Antec Earthwatts Gold Pro Series EA550G Pro 550W Semi-Modular, 80 Plus Gold partly because it has a 7 year warranty. However, words do not trump action. This unit failed on October 23, 2020. So, I went to the Antec support page, filled out the necessary form to receive a refund or replacement. That was six days ago. No response, no acknowledgement, no we would be glad to be of help. If you look at Amazon comments regarding this product, or any Antec product you'll notice the no responses from Antec. I find it a poor business practice that Amazon represents and promotes Antec products as Antec misrepresents their products with warranties that are just words and no actions. As a result, I'll be ending any business with Antec and Amazon who obviously cares more about Antec than we the customers who have built their business. Sincerely. Update: November 7, 2020. 14 days and not a peep from Antec. Update: December 20, 2020. Still no word from Antec to honor their 7 Warranty. Update: January 27, 2021. Still no word from Antec support. They are defrauding their customers by not honoring the warranty. DO BUY ANYTHING FROM ANTEC. Update: April 19, 2021. Still no relief or response from ANTEC. ANTEC is a fraud. The warranty is a fraud. Amazon should ban selling their products. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH ANTEC! It's January 2023. No response from Amazon nor Antec regarding the failed power supply barely out of the box. Antec Ticket number: 116122 Where's my refund? Where's my replacement?

Good parts

I just had it installed and it works fine.

I was having issues with my computer, after adding a few minor components. The specs indicated the old power supply should be able to handle the load... But power supplies seem to be OEM’s least sexy and appreciated component. I considered future potential additional components, and ordered this one. After I installed it, the all issues disappeared.

I really liked this product, is not that noisy, is semi-modular, came with all cables I needed, and installation was easy. GREAT PSU! Antec 550W

I am using the 550W version, and I can report that it will happily drive my 230W-rated RTX3070 GPU. I used a killawatt meter to verify powerdraw at the wall, which seems fine. My whole system idles at 45W from the wall. The only thing that makes me raise an eyebrow... the two 6+2 connectors for the GPU share the same connector at the PSU side?

It indeed is the EarthWatts Gold Pro model which is a high end PSU but the make and model of this Psu is the old version. It still is a great unit though. It has 42A on the 12v rail which is plenty for overclocking your CPU too. The efficiency curve is almost a flat line and the voltage barely drops during stress tests. Overall a great unit for the price. Got it for around 5.5k INR.

I couldn’t even test it with my new computer.The sealed box came with a laptop’s plug instead of the one for the PSU itself.Which is forcing me to go out and buy the right cable instead of getting it from the box.Thanks I guess..
