Our granddaughter loves these. She has them growing at every house she's at.

I got these for my daughter and they're cute. She was excited watching and waiting for the eggs to hatch. She was initially excited when they did hatch, but then pointed out the next day that the unicorns do not have any horns. She's right. There are some little gold spots that look like marker drawn on. I asked her if she drew them and she said no. But then she did take a gold marker and extend the dot on the yellow one, which you can see in the picture. It was just a dot before that. I went back to the Amazon listing and now see that the ones we received look nothing like the ones in the pictures which do have horns. These are still cute but I would say they look more like horses than unicorns.

My kids were so excited about these. We bought a 2 pack and they were both the same (preferable for us). One was already broken at the top and the other one was cracked. It was simple to set up - put them both in jars submerged in water and waited. They hatched and they had this slimy film which mostly washed off. Now they are completely dry but kind of puffy and wrinkled looking.... Not sure if that's how they are supposed to be or if ours were botched by the early cracking. 🤷 All in all, my kids loved them and have been playing with them since they dried.

Listen, this thing is weird. It actually does hatch in a couple days and grows for a week just like the box instructions describe. I don’t know what it’s made of. After it’s remoced from the water, it slowly sweats until it returns to a small size again... I had hoped it’d be something the kids could play with, but it’s really just for the hatching and growing experience. It’s not a long term toy. We received two boxes. Our unicorn in the first box was a sitting unicorn but we have not tried the second box to see if the unicorn varies. We did have to change out the water after day 3 or 4 because it got a little cloudy. Overall I’m both amazed and creeped out by this thing. My kids enjoyed checking on it daily. The entertainment lasted a week or so and now they’re over it, which is probably average for some other toys they have. The novelty might not have worn off of the unicorn was something they could play with long-term.

We got the two pack and used them for Easter basket presents. My 2.5yo daughter was so excited to see what hatched out of the egg. We just did one so far, and she loved watching it hatch! It did take about 6 days to hatch. It’s been out of the water for over 12 hours but hasn’t shrank down in size yet. I expected the water to start sweating out but so far it hasn’t. It is a bit wet feeling to the touch so don’t think I’ll let my kiddo play with it around the house.
