Good clippers get right down side of nail.

When one reaches a certain age there is little to compare with the pleasure to be obtained from digging out an ingrowing toenail, but one does need the proper tools for the job. These sturdy clippers are a pretty good compromise between having a cutting edge that is slim enough to get easy access to the offending part of the nail and being stout enough to actually cut the nail. I bought these because yesterday I broke my Home Secretary's precious cuticle clippers trying to cut an ingrowing toenail: they had a really slim, pointy design to the jaws and that provided easy access but one of the jaws literally snapped when I applied pressure. I incurred the wrath of the Home Secretary and learned a powerful lesson. These clippers when faced by the thick old nail that broke the jaws of the lesser tool barely broke into a sweat and sliced through it with ease. The ratio of handle to jaw length provides plenty of leverage and the curve of the handles provides a secure grip. These clippers are the correct tool for the job and they appear very well-made. They are good value for money and I highly recommend them.

These are just so much more effective than nail scissors that I regret not having bought them years ago. It's worthwhile studying how podiatrists use them first as the technique is important. Once learned, the job is done safely, easily and effectively. These are very well-made and easy to clean, as they made from stainless steel.

They are not sharp, I am used to way sharper tools for my manicure. Maybe pedicure stuff is not supposed to be sharp (questionable), but I feel that they break my toenails and the cut is absolutely not under control. I am 38 and have healthy not thick toenails…
