Beautiful addition to home
This is a great product to dress up your curb, appeal, and create a very strong insulation for a mailbox. I use the Westbrook model which has the more solid bracket that allowed me to put an angle brace in it slide it down the inside, vertical support column and lag bolted to the end of the enclosed 2 x 4 for extra support for a locking mailbox. It’s little higher, a little heavier and taller than the average mailbox. Follow their directions very closely. I was kind of shocked at how tight the top post cover fits over a standard 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 4 x 4 post but it is a tight fit, but it will go down Without splitting the cover. I questioned the company on this after I had actually routed some channels to make room on the post to slide down easily, but apparently it is not necessary according to the manufacturer. I converted all of the bolts over to stainless steel and used rubber cushions under the heads with washers to make a solid purchase into the post after determining the correct height required by the post office I set the base of the mailbox at 43 inches height. I did drill a hole in the top inside of the mailbox to form a direct connection and screwed a lag bolt from the inside top edge of the mailbox through the back wall into the post and used a polyethylene spacer to keep the keep the box solidly mounted to the post and in a horizontal, plumb position. I couldn’t be happier with the product. I would recommend the Westbrook model if you want to mount a heavier mailbox as the support bracket allows for concealment of a steel brace inside and it can be bolted to the contained 2x4 platform. It appears to be a very durable, well-made product with concise clear cut directions.

Wasn't sure
I was looking for a mailbox with a little bit of a wow factor and this certainly fit the bill. It's a traditional aesthtic but the flower box gives it whimsy. Initially I wasn't sure I'd like it, but now I'm certain that I love it! My sister installed it for me. She made it look easy enough and she agrees that it was. It's sturdy, of great quality, and great value for what I paid. If you're interested in this mailbox, don't think twice. You're going to love it.

Great mailbox!
So pretty!! I get so many compliments! Super sturdy. We had to drill different holes for the mailbox though, but easy fix.

Mismatched parts?
UPDATE: the company has sent out matching screw caps and for that reason, I have amended my review. Looks nice. Easily installed. BUT we received white screw caps for a black post. Not sure if this is an error, as I do not see this in any product pictures. It definitely cheapens the overall look. We’re going to spray paint them, but for the cost, you’d think they’d be matching.

Nice looking post, lower quality than past versions
Nice looking mailbox post (sleeve), mediocre quality and fit. I purchased this to replace a similar post, my 4x4 wood post was already set in place for this to slide over. As a couple of other reviews have mentioned, the post itself comes in two pieces. The top section’s bottom edge is molded sloppily so that it does not sit clean and tight on top of the bottom section. 5 minutes with a Dremel tool solved that problem. Also, the inner mold dimensions are not 3.5x3.5 (the size of a 4x4 wooden post), it’s about 3 1/8” both ways. Tried to squeeze/force the sleeve onto the wood post, but it wouldn’t flex or give enough. That required me to cut the dimensions of my wooden post (in place) in order for this post sleeve to fit. Again, nice looking with an oversized mailbox, quality isn’t as good as past versions, so necessitates some minor modifications to make it fit properly.

Always read 1 star reviews before purchasing anything on amazon
I saw missing hardware highlighted in orange and still purchased this not really thinking much of it. I enjoy helping people, so if you still want to buy this mailbox post after reading the bad reviews I will help you out. This is pretty much a cover for an actual post, ok? Stay with me, there will be a small piece of wood that comes in the box, it will not fit, just use it for a mailbox post for your child’s Barbie dream house mailbox . Go to a hardware store, get a post anchor, 4x4 lumber for your post, and a sledgehammer. After you have your foundation set up, cut the bottom of the post cover ( the long black part) because it’s too narrow, poorly manufactured, cut it just enough to fit around your newly purchased lumber that you’ve sledgehammered into the ground with anchor. Screws did come with package, however, there are no holes on the post cover to connect the flower bed or the platform to hold mailbox so you must create your own holes. After you do all that it will turn out just the picture illustrates. Good luck
