Like buttah
Easily the sharpest, best knife I've owned for cutting veggies. Probably fine for meat, too. The thinness of the knife makes it glide through most ingredients. Cutting an onion with this is a pleasure. I haven't sharpened it yet, but it seems to hold an edge very well. It has maintained some good sharpness after several months of regular use. Just take care of it and I imagine it'll last a long time.

Excellent knife
Excellent knife. We have a couple of their knives and this was our newest edition. It's light weight with a good comfortable grip. The blade and grip are one solide piece which makes them very durable. If you take care of them, these knives will last you forever.

LOVE IT!
I don't normally take time to write a review, but this knife is fantastic. I'm no professional, but I do spend a LOT of time in the kitchen. This is a super sharp knife, but of course many are right out of the box, even your less expensive variety. I have been using the knife about 2 weeks now and just love it. It slices all my garden treasures with ease-- no special tomato knife needed with this gem. It goes right through them. I also cut into a butternut squash easily enough with this knife and have used it for just about everything since I've received it. Thinking of a 2nd Global knife now, but then again why? I think I pretty much have a wonder all-in-one knife with this beauty. I cut bread with it too (I do have a bread knife, but this thing slices everything nicely). I am a female with relatively small hands and it is comfortable, and feels like a good size/weight to me. Again, I'm no pro, but for an average, I like to spend time in kitchen person, I'm finding this a wonderful knife.

Stop using your old crap knives
After reading โKitchen Confidentialโ I became aware that all the junk metal thrown into a drawer I had been formerly calling knives were - at best - horrible. So I bit the bullet and ordered this fine instrument. Itโs better that anything I could imagine. Sharpness out of box you could shave with. The lightless and balance are delightful. Took out an onion and it cut like warm butter. Order the two sided sharpening stone while you are at it; as thing thing you will use and fall in love with - it makes cooking more effortless - and cleans so easily. So pleased I also ordered the chefs knife and am gradually replacing the rest of the dull old metal with these beauties.

Beautiful.
I bought this for $100, and I think itโs a fair market price for it. It was technically โon saleโ as the asking price from Amazon is $150, but if you look around, $150 is overpriced. It has a good weight and balance, santoku style, and has a good grip due to the texture of the handle. Good length as well, and honestly a good investment if you like cooking.

Love it!
Awesome Chef Knife. I replaced my Shun Chef Knife with this daily driver. Cannot recommend it enough.

Sharp, comfortable, and helpful
Crazy sharp, just like all my other Global knives. A comfortable handle, easy to wash, and the hollow knife really works well to keep vegetables from sticking to the surface as I cut.

Efficient, beautiful and worth the price
I reluctantly bought this knife after a long wait because of the price. Iโm so glad I did! Itโs my go to knife for most of my cutting needs. I can cut through butternut squash with greater ease. Itโs well balanced, too, which is important for me. I have weak hands and wrists and this knife has helped me a great deal.

My favourite by far
I own numerous Global knives , this particular knife is my favourite , so much so , I own two , one for work and one for home , I am a Chef and use this knife at work almost exclusively , and needed one for home, so I bought another . Global knives are awesome .. Other people have other preferences , but I have owned most of mine for quite a few years and have only ever needed to "steel" them to bring the edge back .
