Great product...<s>terrible price</s>
Edit, 3/28/16: Putting stars back to five after being informed of current Amazon price, which is approximately what I previously considered a normal grocery-store price. Edit, 3/7/13: With this edit, I downgrade this excellent product from 5-stars to 1-star. The soaring price is completely out of control. The already highish price for my last order six months ago has now gone completely crazy, IMO. Plus, they are no longer offered as a "Prime" item, although the 3rd party vendor is offering free shipping. They darn well should. The price has increased by about fifty percent since my last purchase, which also shipped free. Probably has to do with the difficulty of shipping these fragile cookies and customer blowback and returns. Whatever. They are still available at Trader Joe's and, sometimes, at regular grocery stores. I am not a super cost-conscious shopper, but I don't want to be a complete fool either. *** I found these great little cookies looking for anything low-salt in the cookies/cakes/pastry line. I will admit that eating one is not exactly the same ecstatic experience as eating a really top-quality brownie. But that's a good thing, I've decided! They are delicious but don't seem to bulldoze willpower in the way that a super sweet, buttery-rich treat does. They are very crispy, similar to a hard biscotti but still easy and pleasant to munch on because they are thin and bite off easily. And not only are they low in salt, they are also quite low in calories. I like a little something sweet with my coffee in the mornings. A couple of these cookies gets it done for me for at a remarkable 67 calories! I have never before felt satisfied with any accompaniment to my coffee at anywhere near that number of calories. Now let's not be crazy: This is not a substitute for an egg mcmuffin or any kind of traditional breakfast. But for what is essentially a light, tea biscuit, it goes an awfully long way. And I ~love~ them! Edit, 9/9/12: I just placed an order for 4 x 6 packs, i.e., eighty bucks worth of cookies, more or less. It became just too much of a burden to repeatedly order them 2 x 6. Someone complained about them being broken up. That's a problem...they break. I've bought them broken up at the grocery store, too. Realistically, this is not much of a problem unless you are serving them at an elegant "tea." I don't have a problem with a lot of them being in bite-sized bits. Amazon's price is a little higher than it once was. Not sure what is happening with the price at the grocery store. I mostly order them so that I don't have to hunt them in the grocery store...they are a bit of a category buster and can be hard to find even in stores that have them. One day I went to Trader Joe's where I had been buying them; their shelf location was unchanged but they only had a couple of packs left. I'm Amazon Prime and Brown brings them right to my door in two days. What's not to like.

No salt no sodium. Sugary. 90 cookies.
As a cancer patient with attendant treatment nausea, I was looking for something with candied ginger bits that would compare favorably to Trader Joe's Triple Ginger or Whole Foods Raincoast gingerbread crisps. There are 15 cookies in each box. Six boxes in each package. That's a total of 90 biscotti sized cookies. . Each cookie is the length of the standard biscotti. but is very thin. Pretty good I compared it to Raincoast Gingerbread crisps. Almondina has NO salt. That's why it tasted like some nostalgic memory of my childhood in Europe. But comes from Ohio. Unfortunately it does have sugar as its third ingredient. which rings diabetic alarm bells. One serving (4crackers.34g) Total sodium 0% total carbs 20. Raincoast gingerbread crisps, neat little seasonal crackers out of British Columbia, have 75 mg of salt per 3 crackers serving. Total carbs 9g per serving. Protein 2g. Since Raincoast crisps were winter seasonal at Whole Foods I began searching for year around substitute. Despite sugar, the ginger Almondina looked promising. The first ginger Almondina I tried was sweet, flat tasting without a trace of ginger, but thick and hard. The second one I tried from the same box had nice bits of candied ginger. So ginger Almondina is an acceptable substitute flavor wise to Raincoast gingerbread crisps, assuming you check out your blood sugar and blood pressure response. I cant say whether it will have any effect on my nausea, so will keep the scopolamine patch by my ear. But these are quite tasty if a bit too sweet for my taste.

Delectable, Filling Cookies With Low Calories Make a Healthy Snack
These are are crunchy, delectable cookies that come in a variety of flavors, of which, I find The Original & Gingerspice tastier than others. What I find very puzzling is that Amazon has different flavors under Amazon Prime at different times: last week it was The Original and now it is Gingerspice. Almondina also makes an assorted 8 cookie flavor giftbox but for some Amazon does not carry it, as of February 2010. Each cookie has 35 calories and the package lists the serving size as 4 cookies. For me, usually 2 cookies are filling enough and satisfy my hunger. Cookies have roasted almonds and resins. Each cookie has 5.5 gm carbohydrate approximately half of which is sugar, but the company claims it to be "All Natural". I guess they consider sugar to be natural! Biscoff Family Pack are also delicious cookies, with 25 calorie per cookie and roughly the same amount of carbohydrates and sugar per cookie as Almondina, but they are't as filling and you end up consuming more calories. May be it is not possible to make delicious cookies with any less sugar. To give you perspective and comparison, Oreo Cookies have double the sugar and carbohydrate and each serving has 160 calories; and they are not filling so you end up consuming a lot more than one serving at a time. I have't found any other delicious cookies with as low carbohydrate content as Almondina. For me, they make a very healthy snack that satiates my hunger and craving for food.

My mom LOVES these cookies. They do not sell them where she lives and she was soooo happy that I was able to buy them for her on Amazon. Light almond cookie - great with coffee or tea.

My favorite afternoon snack
Shopping at World Cost Plus when we had one in town I found my favorite cookie. The supply there was on and off. Then gone with the store. So, I found a recipe. Problem was the recipe was quite involved. As luck would have it I found them on Amazon. These cookies are almond filled. I always get the original. Crunchy, crunchier than a biscotti. The clean ingredients are few. Yes they have sugar but less than the traditional cookies we buy or bake. I feel, right or wrong, the almonds make up for the sugar negative. Pros: Nice crunch Almond filled Great with tea or coffee Healthy cookie choice Kosher Cons: expensive occasional hint of staleness in just one of the pack

All broken up and stale
The product in each package was in shards and fragments, in addition to tasting stale. I was disappointed and had to discard all of them. No returns because it was a food item. Simply a waste of money.

So happy to find these on Amazon!
I fist found these gems at Trader Joe’s, but they stopped carrying them years ago. There are the perfect little crackers with cheese or with coffee! Love them
