Smells like heaven and actually defines my curls without the crunch.
I’ve tried dozens of curl creams, from drugstore brands to high-end salon lines, but the amika Curl Corps Defining Cream is the one I keep coming back to. If you have hair that tends to "poof" the moment you walk outside, this is going to be your new best friend. The Breakdown: Texture & Consistency: It’s a true cream—silky and lightweight. Unlike some heavy butters that weigh down your hair and make it look greasy by Day 2, this absorbs beautifully. It provides a "soft-touch" hold, meaning your curls look defined and coiled but feel like actual hair, not straw. The "Signature" Scent: If you’ve used amika before, you know the smell. It’s their signature sea buckthorn berry scent—warm, spicy, and slightly floral. It’s one of the few hair products I get complimented on regularly. Frizz Control: I live in a high-humidity area, and this cream is a lifesaver. It seals the cuticle perfectly. I apply it to soaking wet hair using the "praying hands" method, and it keeps my ringlets intact even after diffusing. Clean Ingredients: As someone conscious of hair health, I love that it’s sulfate-free, paraben-free, and vegan. It feels like a treatment and a styler in one. Pros: No "Crunch" Factor: There is zero "cast" or stiffness. You don't have to "scrunch out the crunch" because the curls stay soft from the start. A Little Goes a Long Way: The 200ml tube lasts a surprisingly long time. For shoulder-length hair, a nickel-sized amount is usually enough. Versatile: It works just as well for air-drying on a lazy Sunday as it does for a full blowout with a diffuser. Cons: The Price Point: It’s definitely a premium product. However, given the results and how little you need to use, the value is there. Not for Fine/Straight Hair: This is specifically for curls and waves. If your hair is very fine or straight, it might be a bit too moisturizing and could weigh it down.

Fantastic product!
Perfect transaction, delivered as expected. This is hands down the best curl cream I’ve ever used. The scent is mild, very pleasant. The cream glides thru your curls with little to no effort. I will continue to repurchase over and over! I’m a new to curls girl as my hair has grown back curly since going bald from chemotherapy treatments. I’ll recommend this (and have!) to anyone who asks me about curl cream. 5/5 stars!

This product is fantastic!
I have curly, wavy hair. However, it’s only been over the last few years that I’ve gone with it (at least since I was a toddler!) I had ReCurl recommended by a stylist; it was so heavy that it actually straightened my curls. For the last several months I’ve put nothing on my hair. The curls were there but they went where they wanted, mostly in my face. I researched a better solution & repeatedly found this one at the top of folks’ lists. Today I trimmed & shaped my hair (after getting excellent, precise advice from Claude AI on how to cut it…just sayin’). It was the first time I used the product. It is amazing! It is very lightweight but does what it advertises: Great curls with great styling ability. Plus, the scent is terrific—light but discernible. When I sit on my screened porch, the ceiling fan wafts it all around me. I love this stuff, & will definitely buy it again.

Holds definition, a little goes a long way and smells so good!
I have incredible curly hair and it gets very dry in the summer creating a a lot of frizz that’s hard to contain. This curl cream keeps my hair moisturized, soft and does not weight my curls down or create buildup I can use a quarter size amount throughout my hair. The bottle is a good size but for anyone who has really thick hair, I don’t know if it will last you as long. Scent is soft and lovely. If you care about presentation like me, the packaging is beautiful! Great experience and a forever Amika customer. I am looking forward to trying more Amika products.

Amazing products all of them
Hands down the best hair styling cream I have ever used love the scent and the hold it provides without being crunchy or scrunched out with a oil because it's not crunchy in the first place I get compliments on how fresh and nice my hair looks and smells and I use the shampoo and conditioner set from Amika too and there styling oil and it's all amazing a little pricy at $30 on up bucks without a sale but you can get lucky and get stuff on sale every once in awhile. I also use there deep conditioning conditioner in the orange tub absolutely love it. And a small amount of there products go a long way!

The best curling cream I've used
I've tried so many different products, but this is the one that works the best for my hair type. I have more wavy hair that's light and thin. This doesn't make my hair look greasy, like other salon products. There's also a decent, yet soft, hold, to keep the curls for a few days. I'm not the biggest fan of the smell, which to me, smells similar to baby powder, but it's not offensive enough to not use. I originally found this product at a salon, and then I never saw it again. So I'm glad I can order it here.

Leaves finer hair feeling weighted down
I tried this, wanting to give my naturally wavy/curly a break from the hair dryer. I use the smoothing balm when I blow dry/straighten my hair and it works wonderfully.... To start off, it was much thicker than the smoothing balm. It has a very pleasant scent. I rubbed a quarter sized blob between my palms and worked it through my damp hard before "crunching", my waves. It did define my natural hair, but it also made my hair feel heavy, flat at the crown, and built-up. I have fairly long hair, but this product did not feel great. Perhaps it is better suited for thicker hair. The smoothing balm is wonderful though.
