The Little Adapter That Refuses to Die
I bought this adapter back around 2016 and honestly didn’t expect much from it. It looked cheap and felt like one of those “temporary” items you buy thinking you’ll eventually replace it. But it ended up being one of the biggest surprises I’ve ever purchased.Almost 10 years later, it still works perfectly. Literally one of the very few things I’ve never had to replace on my computer. Every single time I turn on my PC, this adapter turns on too and keeps doing its job without any issues.Over the years I’ve changed components, peripherals, and even entire computers, but this little adapter is still here like nothing ever happened. Honestly, it turned out to be one of the best purchases I’ve made without even expecting it.Sometimes the simplest and cheapest products are the ones that last the longest.

A competent USB hub with indiviual power switches for its ports - ideal for connecting simple devices.
With my ever growing group of devices, I once again found myself in need of a new USB hub. My needs were simple, I had no intention of connecting a hard drive or anything that would draw a significant amount of power, all I wanted to do was connect multiple input devices like keyboards, trackpads and gamepads. I came across this Sabrent model with individual on/off switches for each port and liked that idea. This hub is inexpensive and has performed the function for which I needed it very well. As is often the case, you do get what you pay for so this hub doesn't feel very solidly constructed and the lights above the ports kind of bleed over into adjacent ones and I ran into one minor issue with it where for a time it failed to recognize the trackpad on a keyboard/trackpad combination device. It has worked flawlessly aside from that one hiccup. One thing to bear in mind if you plan to use this to connect external storage is that it is a USB 2.0 hub, so you will not get the best transfer speeds out of USB 3.0 devices. Also, as this hub is not powered, you may need to run into some issues depending on the computer or whatever device to which this hub is connected. I use it primarily on an NVIDIA Shield Android TV and have not run into that issue. I have also briefly tested it on a couple of computers. If you have a need to connect simple devices without a significant power draw and would like the ability to enable or disable them at the touch of a button, this unit will fit the bill nicely and is easy on the wallet. If you need a hub for storage devices or other devices that may need to draw more power from the host unit, you'll probably want to look into a powered hub instead.

Great tech gadget to have, especially when working from a laptop
I love this gadget. I work from a laptop with limited USB plug ins. This gives me the opportunity to use more wireless accessories like mouse, keyboard, headphones, even a desk fan. I can turn them off (like the headphones) when not in use. It keeps my desk less cluttered and is portable. Great value for the price

Great little data port. Definitely got me through.
I used this for data AND charging as needed. The disclaimer about charging wasn't on the listing back when I bought it.And it was fine. I didn't get a super-fast charge on my phone, but everything seemed to charge normally, especially when I had it plugged into a wall outlet. My stupid laptop only came with one USB port (who does that?!) and I was hurting when I bought it. For data, it was absolutely fantastic. No lag at all with my peripherals. Mouse and keyboard were very responsive.I'm noticing a theme about me not reading the fine print when I buy tech. This time I made *sure* my new computer had plenty of USB ports... and just ended up with a gaming computer with 64G RAM and 3TB memory. It has an LED light show dancing around the PC's case and that was a surprise. I don't know how to turn that off, but I'm warming up to it. My grandchildren are thrilled.I just wanted a lot of ports.

Still good after 4 years
You can hardly find any other extender with switches at this price. Been owning since 4 years now and they are working good fine. Plus value for money

It works really well as a USB Hub
I've been using it on my gaming laptop because I needed more ports for other things like a drawing tablet and a microphone. So far, It works perfectly. The Build Quality:Even though it's made of plastic, it feels very premium and is very light. It's very tough and the wire can is very durable. It is possible to accidentally cut this thing in a sharp environment (exposed sharp edges or some random things that shouldn't be where they are), but It's gonna last quite a while against fatigue.Buttons and LED:The Buttons feel nice and press down smoothly with a kind of "taptic" feel to it; you can feel some sort of friction as you press it down, but I don't know whether it's actually friction or if it's a cool feature. The buttons go down smoothly and give no noticeable audio response. The LED's are a really nice indicator for when you toggle on or off your device. The only issue I have is when you stare directly at them at a straight angle towards the buttons, It's insanely blinding, But overall still really nice.I haven't tested using a USB with it nor did I try to charge with it to debunk it, but nonetheless it's a really good solution for for when you need a lot more USB inputs, and it only costs $10 CAD!Additional Notes for Rate Features:Quality of material:like I said, This thing feels premium. I doubt it's gonna break or fatigue on me for a while.Thickness:This device is actually decently thin, but could be thinner. It's thickness is about 3 and a half USB connector's Width (the shorter length of the actual silver part of the USB). The device could also be slightly thinner in the width of the device, but it's perfectly fine for anyone who want's to stick it onto the side of something like a table or the side of the device.Sheerness:I'm really not sure what they mean for "sheerness", So I'll write 2 separate reviews about it.Sheer as in sharp/steep:This device isn't sharp at all. It's corners are all curved. The sharpest edges are the perimeter of the largest surface area, and it's still quite smooth.Sheer as in absolute/nothing other than:Not sure how to explain the "sheerness" of this device in this term. All I know is that this is an absolute buy. If you need more USB connectors, for $10 CAD this thing really is something else. It does its job and it does it well. No disconnects or fails using devices. If anyone is worried about USB Storage Device transfer speeds, you should have a UDB 3.0 on your laptop or if you're using a Desktop, You should have more than enough ports.

Robi swoje
Malutki, plastikowy. Wszystkie komputery, laptopy rozpoznawały to urządzenie.
