Some years ago our family discovered static electricity A/C filters that worked very well for our home, but was 'cleaned' by the use of a vacuum and was not washable. These filters were more expensive than the others that would eventually have to be replaced as well. We've recently relocated to a new home with multiple A/C filters which already was collecting enough contaminates that they should be replaced. The former home owners had replacements for each filter location (each of different dimensions) so we used the new, but not washable filters until they started getting noticeably dirty. Since we had used static electricity filters that worked very well multiple times, they also had to be simply discarded. We searched for static electrical A/C filters in our new area and discovered the Trophy Air Washable Electrostatic HVAC Air Filters that is advertised as 'lifetime'. After much investigating we were very impressed that you can purchase common sizes, but if you have a unique size, like our present A/C you can actually order by dimensions to fit the intake frame precisely! So far (a few weeks of usage) the filters are working well but has not been needing any attention as yet, but has apparently collected some debris exactly as they should. A little initial higher cost than the static electric filters made of paper/plastic, but after comparing the current cost of our new filters we realized you could have to buy about 4 disposable filters for the cost of just one washable/reinstall life time filter. Plus, you can order custom sizes if necessary - just once! Great product, sturdy construction of aluminum framing and perfect fitting.

This is the best investment I purchase and years. I save myself I whole lot of money!!!¡!!. This filter works. They keep the air clean from mildew and pet orders. Allergies [ breathing much better] at night. I use to run an humidifiers. Now I dont even use it!!! Best part you can wash [ rinse] them with warm water and let them air dry and insert them [ reusable]. You are saving a ton of money back in your pockets. I highly highly recommend you buy this product. You want regret it . I love it !!

As for dust collection, that’s really the key to how well this filter performs. It does an impressive job of trapping particles and preventing dust buildup in my home, but I was curious to see how much it would actually catch over time. After several cleanings, it seems to be doing its job. Just be patient with the drying process, and you’ll get solid results. Overall, I’m happy with the filter. It's a great value for the money, and the fact that it’s washable makes it a long-term solution for cleaner air and fewer trips to the store for replacements. Just make sure you allow enough time for it to dry properly after cleaning!

This is well made filter. I ordered 2 other filters at the same time, both of the others were made in China. When I examined them all by holding up to a light source I was able to see that this Trophy filter did have more filtering thickness than the other 2 from China and less light shown through. When examining it with a flash light up close you could see the difference in the number of electrostatic layers. The metal frame was nice and sturdy as well compared to the others. This filter the came closest to the older one that I was using.

Solid construction, and I like the layered filtration. I am really paying attention to my home's ventilation so I got this for the air intake on the main floor, which can get dusty over time due to all the activity. I had a paper filter in there before, and you can really tell the difference with the Trophy Air installed; air flows much more freely and quietly, yet I'm confident that the dust is being kept out of my ducts. It's only been in for about a week, so I'll report back in a few more weeks. I vacuum out the filter at the furnace regularly, so I'll be able to tell what's going on. I'm already happy with it, so I plan to get two more for my other intake vents. Priced nicely compared to what HVAC companies will charge for an equivalent filter. Cleaning is going to be a breeze too!! Ok, changed rating to 5 stars. These are really good filters. We also went the extra step and had our air ducts thoroughly cleaned (been in this home for 20+ years and first deep duct cleaning ... yowza!). My furnace was straining a bit with paper filters, but this product allows better air flow and my furnace filter stays much cleaner, holding up to the challenge of two dogs and two cats very well! I added photos to show the L-Brackets I used to keep the filters flush with the drywall behind the vent cover.

I purchased this filter at a considerable cost thinking that it would save me money in the long run. It had excellent reviews so I gave it a try. The first month it collected not a speck of dust, not even a dog hair (which I have in abundance). The second month the same thing! What’s the deal? Why are so many people happy with something that doesn’t work? Is it me ? Why would not work for me but work for others? Makes no sense! I’m back to purchasing the Merv 13

I bought the 16x24 and added some thick foam to the back end that slides into the filter area which is 16x25 and it works great. I have no complaints, I'm not getting a lot of dust and it doesnt impede the furnace blower so the motor isnt strained. Seems well made tho the edges around the filter material are sharp. Any way I cant complain about it, its seems better than my old replaceable filters with frames that are electro static that you cant buy anymore and they are 20 years old so I have three filters now. if we have an air quality warning I just pop two in instead of one to help clear the air better. I'm about to clean it since 1 month is up - we'll see how that goes but I dont have any anticipation of anything going wrong. I like it and will order another.

This filter size was good on width x hight was short short by 3/4 of an inch. used one sided sticky foam tape on top and bottom of filter screen then put filter in place of old filter.

I got 2 so I could swap them when cleaning. Fits perfectly. 16x20 I found it a little tight to remove when changing because unlike paper it can't be condensed, so they put a little hole in the side. You can use a screw driver or similar to pull it out until your fingers can grasp it. Really nice touch ! Of course a magnet would work too but more people have a screw driver than a magnet ! In an age of disposable garbage, an item designed to last a lifetime is a breath of fresh air! Highly recommended. Super value for money.

Wife bought this for the condo vent. Works amazing, we have a large German Shepherd who is professional shedder. This cleans off super easy and we like it better than the old paper / fabric filters.
