great tasting product... Very, very hot, Not recommended for a non-chilli head.. I Love it :-))
this is a fantastic product.... Very large peanuts, pretty doggone hot, recommended for only people who like to chase that heat... These peanuts for the average person will be very, very hot, but to somebody who chases the heat and is used to hot things... This will be hot,.. but enjoyable and flavorful. Be careful popping these peanuts in your mouth and inhaling at the same time... You will be surprised. The vapors will get you coming off the peanut... :-) I bought this bag of peanuts to try to raise my tolerance.... So I could eventually try the Tube of Terror... peanut challenge which is Johnny Scoville's product on the YouTube channel Chase The Heat. These peanuts are very hot and very, very good tasting...

Worth the price if you like the spice
I love spicy food, but I often find because Iโm a picky eater many spicy foods have a flavor Iโm not a fan of. Or, more frustratingly, snacks that have good flavor that are labeled spicy barely qualify (see the Planterโs โHeatโ peanuts which are maybe a hint of black pepper). So I am very happy that these peanuts not only are legitimately spicy (maybe an 8/10, at the end range of what I find enjoyable), but it has a very pleasant flavor as well. It starts off with a surprisingly sugary sweetness and builds very quickly to a slightly smoky and very spicy flavor. I also really enjoy the texture of the peanut. It doesnโt have the same crunch that your typical peanuts have - which is great, donโt get me wrong - but thereโs a slightly softer, almost supple chew to it that I havenโt experienced elsewhere. It isnโt necessarily better that basic store bought peanuts, but it is worth mentioning. I appreciate the versatility that these peanuts offer. If Iโm craving a sweat-inducing rush I will eat a small handful. If I want to spice up a different batch of peanuts that has a flavor I really like but not the spice, I can add a few of these into them (maybe doing a very rough chop). Sometimes I like blending a couple into a powder and adding it into my instant ramen to give it a punch. These arenโt quite the spiciest peanuts Iโve had (though pretty close), nor are they the tastiest (though they are good for a straightforward spicy snack), but they are an excellent product that I will happily get again. Expensive? Yes. Worth it? Yes.

Exactly what I was looking for
I got these recently. I wanted a genuinely spicy snack. These arenโt terribly spicy, but they have a really good kick in them. If you do not have a strong spice tolerance these will be very very hot for you. On the palate, thereโs a sugar coated glaze on the peanuts, followed by a strong reaper / scorpion flavor. You definitely taste the pepper in these. Going down, you get that reaper burn in the back of your throat and the linger afterward. These would be perfect if you want something to wake you up. Chase The Heat calls these โdiet peanutsโ, I agree. If you need portion control and love really spicy things, these would be perfect for you. Theyโre hot enough to where you can have a few, feel the burn for about 10-15 minutes, then go back for more. I wouldnโt eat these by the handful, unless you know you can handle it and just want to eat the whole bag lol. Very tasty!

good heat, flavor could use improvement
So off the bat, for my current level, which is habanero is my jalapeno, bw's blazin and wing stop atomic are hot but manageable, these are still uncomfortably spicy (thats a good thing) my only complaint is the flavor is a bit lacking. I think it could use a little tang from some lime or maybe some salt. I had some leftovers camping and put together a saltine cracker, topped with peanut butter, 2-3 of these peanuts, topped with marie sharps smoked habanero sauce. and those were dope. probably ate 30 or so of these in that meal. so they arent like an eat one nut and done sorta hot. and again they really benefit from some additional flavors to make them more tasty. still a nice snack and would buy again.

Nobody Wants to Try My Nuts
I bought the Wild version and had them shipped to my work, which came sooner than originally expected. I opened the bag and let the air out before smelling the bag. You could get a hint of something spicy, but it mostly just smells like peanuts. I threw one into my mouth and started to chew, very little heat up front, but as others have mentioned, the heat comes after swallowing. Definitely spicy, it hits the back of your throat pretty hard and stays there awhile. I popped another after a minute or two and it was equally spicy. For what they are, they taste really good. I think most foods like this are just hot for the sake of being hot with little to no thought given to flavor. While you chew, you actually enjoy the flavor for a good few seconds until the heat kicks in. I decided to throw 7 at once into my mouth and again, I wasn't feeling anything until I finished eating them and then the heat hit really hard and lasted a good 15 minutes. They're not unbearable, but they do pack a punch. I'm tempted to try the Death Nut challenge, just to see how hot things can really get. Still waiting for my co-workers to try one, but they don't seem too interested...

Two words.... ARNOLD PALMER (saves the day)
The peanuts have a great flavor, once you get past the lava-like sensation going on in the back of your throat and lips. The best liquid that we found to kill the burn??? A big cup of cold Arnold Palmer (half sweet iced tea and half lemonade). We came to the conclusion that the acidity of the lemons in the lemonade might help neutralize the burn from the Carolina Reaper. If you don't have any Arnold Palmers, milk is the next best thing. Water does nothing and if anything, just makes it worse. Make sure you keep these WELL HIDDEN from children or anyone else that you don't want accidently injesting them. The burn kicks in almost immediately then plateaus at around 5 to 7 minutes. By 15 minutes, the need to engorge yourself with liquid goes away, the hallucinations settle down, and the ability to carry on a conversation comes back to you. My advice... Wear gloves when reaching into the bag and putting a peanut in your mouth. After it's in and the bag is sealed closed, take the gloves off and wash your hands. Avoid touching your eyes. Don't wipe your mouth with a napkin then proceed to wipe the sweat off your forehead. If you get this in your eyes, you'll wish you'd never been born. Be safe and enjoy the laughs! One time was good enough for ya!

EXTREMELY HOT!!!
I generally love spicy foods, though I am not one to just eat pepper pods or drink the hottest hot sauces straight from the bottle but I love some good heat when its properly mixed in with certain foods(Mexican food). These (wild) are EXTREMELY HOT! I was not expecting these to be as hot as they are. I was expecting something along the lines of Paqui's Hanted Ghost Pepper Chips which still made me sweat a bit and were pretty damn hot but not too the point needing milk to handle, Those I would recommend to anyone just starting out but these Wild Peanuts, NO WAY! I read the reviews on here and only ate 1 (ONE!) to start with and that was all it took. My mouth was on FIRE for the first 5 minutes with sweat pouring down my face and having to drink about 16oz of milk in small gulps to alleviate the heat. The heat lingers on the tongue for about 10-15 minutes after swallowing. I would not recommend these if you are just getting into hot foods because these are WAY TOO HOT for the average person. I would say these are WAY TOO HOT for even some Chili Heads though I am sure Johnny Scoville(ChaseTheHeat) could probably eat 1 bag but he would probably sweat a bit. These are probably going to sit in the pantry for a long while though I am sure I will use some in future recipes(I'm thinking homemade Peanut Butter Cups with 99.9% normal peanuts and .1% of these to start with) for a kick. P.S Also, If you've been thinking about getting the Death Nut Challenge v2.0, Don't! Just buy these (Wild) instead, it's cheaper and you get an entire bag instead of like 15 nuts. I dare anyone stupid enough to eat an entire bag of these in one sitting and film it! Good Luck!

Too sweet
These are fine. I like the heat, but I don't understand the trend of overloading spicy snacks with sugar. These don't taste like peanuts whatsoever, more like little sugar clusters with spice. Would have been so much better with no added sugar. Not my thing but some might like them.

Not as hot as i was hoping
Really delicious but not as hot as i expected. Eating five or so peanuts was similar to eating one or two thai red chilis for me.
