Nice tool
I've used these for around 6 months now on a constant basis. They work really well as long as you have plenty of metal on each side of the notcher. If you try to notch too close to the edge of a piece, the short side will get jammed up in the teeth. Other than that, I have no complaints!

Used once and they dont work
The only thing these do is imprint a v shape in the metal. I can't get them to notch anything. I'm getting a run around on replacing them. Tired of buying klein products ,they don't work or hold up most of the time. Cheap quality , I'd stay far away from most of klein products, much better stuff out there for a few bucks more.

Had to modify with a hammer
I had to hit the side of the cutter jaw with a hammer and use a vice to close the gap between the cutter claw and jaw. Worked great after the gap was closed up.

Wears out quickly
Used these notchers on 24 gauge sheet metal and they wouldn't notch anymore after lunch time. We pulled our old ones back from the garbage and they still worked better even after two months of use.

In my experience, Klein tools are very hit and miss. They're either fantastic or rubbish. This hand notcher is not even the same version as the notcher in the listing pictures. The listing version is blue and grey, and was manufactured in Taiwan. The version I received is orange, and was partially made in Vietnam with finishing work done in China. The notching tooth is not a very good fit to the outer jaw, and doesn't make a clean cut. It binds at the tip and has gaps at the sides. Straight out of the packaging and I'm already having to modify it. My old notcher worked perfectly but I have misplaced it. I'm regretting losing it even more now that I've bought a replacement that isn't as good, hopefully I eventually find my old one.
