My Ride-or-Die Resin—Crystal Clear Every Time
I’ve tried a lot of epoxy resins, and this one is hands-down my go-to. It doesn’t yellow over time, doesn’t get cloudy, and cures beautifully crystal clear—especially once you take a little time to remove the bubbles. I’ve used it for countless projects, mostly military plaques, and it has never let me down. The finish always looks clean, professional, and high quality. It’s easy to work with, reliable, and consistently delivers the kind of results you actually want when you put time into a project. If you’re looking for a resin you can trust to come out clear and stay that way, this is it.

Excellent Resin
I was a tad bit nervous to use this resin as I have only been using 1 other brand, but this resin surpassed my expectations. Great working time, dries pretty quickly and smooth, and very little to no odor. My only issue was the bubbles. I did have to come back twice to pop the bubbles with my heat gun, but I also feel like if I had let it sit longer before pouring I could have gotten rid of those bubbles ahead of time. I will definitely order again.

Not worth the hype
*EDIT 9/17* Now that I kind of know what I’m doing, I just wanted to add some details. I did finally find the right resin for what I needed. It wasn’t the other brand I mentioned either. I don’t recommend this for deep pours - but would be perfect for smaller pieces or coatings. Great customer service too! Honestly not a huge fan. I am a beginner, but I think I’ve put enough time in to be able to judge. ArtResin attracted me with their wholesome “for the artist by the artist” thing, but it’s just not for me. I can see how this would be a great coating, but casting hasn’t been great. I’m on a tight schedule and it takes forever to get hard to enough. I still get bubbles, but it does cure super clear for the most part. ArtResin is for sure quality, but I think I will go back to unicone resin.

Resin for painted rocks
Works good on my rocks. But takes practice to get the right amount on the rocks so it doesn't get extra gobs on the bottom.

Parfait
Super résine. Jolie rendu.

Easy to use for beginners
I bought a resin dried flower keyring from a lady on instagram the other day, and it suddenly made me want to try my hand at it myself. I'm quite crafty but had never even considered resin-making before - it is ever so overwhelming trying to find the type. There are ones for different depths of resin, and for different heat resistances... I had been looking at a cheaper brand, but as my end goal is to make coasters, it wouldn't have stood up to the temperature. I chose ArtResin even though it was more expensive than the other brands, because whilst it can't cope with heat from a saucepan if used as a trivet, it is supposed to be able to withstand a cup of coffee with no problem. I also knew that I needed a simple 1:1 ratio to limit any misteps on my part, and I liked that it was supposed to have some sort of quality that helps the bubbles fight to the surface. Not going to lie, my little test shapes have bubbles, but I'm 100% certain it is more to do with my technique; I'm getting better but practice makes perfect! I think investing in a propane torch will help, my gas lighter doesn't seem to be overly efficient. I bought gloves, a mask and goggles as recommended by other resin artists, but was surprised to find that 1) there's no way it's going to get anywhere near my eyes, 2) it doesn't irritate my skin if i get it on my fingers, and 3) I have the window cracked open but the smell really isn't that bad. People say the smell permeates the house, but I guess it doesn't with this brand. It's a big relief because I only have a tiny flat and I can't do it outdoors. It is expensive, I think it works out as £10 more than other brands but I would buy ArtResin again. You may not agree, but there's something professional and reassuring about this brand; I wasn't sure from others if I was buying the right one for my needs, whereas I knew I was with this product. I like that they have a website that gives advice and videos on youtube - and of course, the ability to withstand higher heat, 1:1 ratio and low fumes mean I would gladly pay a bit extra. I do have one gripe, or I suppose a suggestion to help newbies like me... You have to be careful not to accidentally swap the resin lid with the hardener lid, because apparently it will fuse shut. They are different colours to limit the confusion, but the inner seals are red in both bottles. I don't know if we are supposed to throw them out (I'm not going to because I don't want it leaking if it falls over), but yesterday when I was trying my hand at resin letters, I forgot to put the inner seal back on the hardener, and as I had just put down the seal on the resin, I was only 65% certain which was which. I think it was ok, but if the seals matched the lid colours, or had 'resin' or 'hardener' on it, I'd be 100% instead of worrying that I'm not going to be able to open the bottles today. I am very happy with my purchase, now all that is left is for me to carry on until I can manage clear resin so I can make my coasters :)
