Sturdy & Very High Quality. Great product. Allows me to fly MUCH more often!
Pricey, but WELL worth it -- especially since you've likely already invested several hundred dollars (or more) in your flight sim gear. Keeps all your gear in one place, folds down for easy transportation & storage out of the way, and is ready to go again at a moment's notice. Keep all your gear together & wired up -- I'd strongly suggest mounting a powered USB hub to the unit so that your gear can all stay plugged in all the time and all you've got to do is plug 1 USB cord into your computer and you're good to go! VERY solidly built, very high quality. Shipping was quick even given the hefty weight of the package. I'm thrilled with it and it's made me fly much more often now that I don't have to spend 30+ minutes setting up my desk (and then 20+ minutes the next day dismantling everything so I can get back to work). Just put it in place, plug 1 cable in, flip the quick-release to position the pole, and you're ready to fly in less than 1 minute. The wife appreciates that my flight sim gear isn't littering my office shelves & floor, too. ;-) Only complaint: The assembly instructions (and video) weren't the greatest. I ended up assembling the yoke "plate" backwards (seems common) and had to start over on that part & re-do a number of steps, but beer may have influenced that. Once you get the basic assmbly done you can pretty much ignore the instructions and just set it up however you'd like -- there are tons of customization options in terms of how you lay out your cockpit and it's easy to make changes as you go. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR ALL SERIOUS & SEMI-SERIOUS SIMMERS!

Love it, makes flying more fun
Love this, makes flying so much better having everything mounted to one item. It really does fold down and move easily. Quick assembly, well built and super sturdy. Well worth the price.

Does what it's supposed to do very well
Let's start with the good first: stand is extremely sturdy and solid and does what it's supposed to do exceptionally well. There are a few reasons I can't give that 5th star: * the outer box was the cheap chinese-like cardboard that does most likely will not hold up well when handled rough. Mine arrived just fine, but still. * Instructions are not very clear...drawings are hard to figure out, online assembly video is good but leaves a few questions (which screw goes where). * The Amazon listing says it comes "fully assembled", which is not entirely true. Two side bars need to be attached before you can start adding your stuff, which also requires assembly. * After you're done you have a bunch of parts left over and it is not clear why. I assume this stand is for multiple applications and these parts are not needed for the Saitek stuff. * The clamp-type fasteners that hold the thing up and straight require some adjustment and tightening. Out the box, the upperplatform had a tendency to rotate and slowly creep backwards. Once you get past all of these initial (easily solvable) issues, it works fantastic and it is an amazing product.

Great setup - and works with Honeycomb aeronautics yoke
I took a gamble based on a few other reviews that this would work with the Honeycomb yoke as I find it far superior to the Saitek/Logitech yoke it was designed for. As you can see in the pictures I used the mounting clamps that come with the Honeycomb to simply clamp it to the plate/bar that normally would screw into the Logitech yoke. Turns out that works great. It's solid and doesn't get in the way of my knees/etc. I give the seller credit for not claiming this will work with the Honeycomb, but if you don't mind the clamps, you can definitely make it work. I've since added the saitek throttle quadrant, which was easy to add (the honeycomb doesn't extend any further out than the Logitech yoke). I also bought a desk clamp usb hub to assist with cable management that I mounted on the extended bar. One tip to the seller - it would be great if you could find a way to allow the cable to run through the main extendable shaft/column vs. having to wrap it around the outside. I will say the included instructions are worthless, but no ding for that, as the seller's youtube video is clear and easy to follow. All in all, this thing is sturdy, adjustable, and comfortable. It's not so heavy that I can't easily move it out of the way when not in use, but it's heavy enough that it doesn't slide around or wobble why I'm playing. I was nervous given it's a bit expensive, but I am very happy I bought it after using it.

Excellent craftsmanship
It's a novel way to facilitate attachment of all the (Logitech, mostly ...) flight sim controls. It really won't take much more than 30 minutes to assemble (provided the dog's not barking, and the kids aren't screaming). I've been a (ATP) pilot for over 40 years, and I've had most of the flight sim gear already (probably 2 or 3 times, over). I've found that it's usually the "simple in design" products that have the greatest impact; and the Wheel Stand Pro is one of them. Getting all the flight sim "stuff" out of the way for me to do other things with my computer was of paramount concern, and the WSP does that job smartly. It's highly configurable (at least I thought so) and I'd wager a guess that it's sturdy enough to accept over 30 lbs. of gear attached to it without breaking a sweat; the friction locks are top-notch. Even so, the hardware appears to be common stock items easily replaceable at your local Ace Hardware store. Excellent product (... and please disregard the sight of my "man-cave". LOL!)

Fantastic solution for budget flight sim
I purchased this to mount my logitech - Flight Yoke, Dual Throttles, 2x Switch panels, & Radio Panel. It's very sturdy with NO give when controlling the yoke. Plesantly suprised... I was impressed with the clamps and their ability to hold the tubing tight. You just adjust it how you want it and go have fun in your flight simulator! My only negative feedback is the width of the rail system to mount your switches/ throttle etc. To cut down on weight, it's thin. Dont get me wrong it's sturdy and holds my equipment, but I'd like for it to be wider for future addon's or mounting to a DIY cockpit. Other than that, its a great system and versitile. Recommended buy.

I hate this thing and strongly recommend you buy it.
I half dispise this product and half admire it. No matter what, I am disappointed. Purchase purpose. I am taking flying lessons. Ground school completes in two weeks (18Jul2016), and I have had 5 flight lessons in a Piper Warrior - 161. I want to build a realistic cockpit flight simulator at home so that I can SUBSTANTIALLY practice lessons; so that I can use the simulator as a learning tool. Products currently owned (briefly stated). Saitek. Guages (8) Yoke (1) Radios (4) Multi-Function Panel (2). CH Products. Yoke (1) Pedals (1) X-Plane 10 Global with additional planes, airports and scenerios COST: ~ $3,000 USD. This is a lot of stuff and a high cost. All this is basically sitting in a pile on the floor in my home office as I have not been able to create an effective cockpit yet. This stuff needs to be bolted into place. (Also, I have not at all been able yet to get Saitek stuff to work with X-plane 10 Global) Evaluation of the Wheel Stand Pro Product. Pros. The material used is terrific. It is very high quality. Design. Quite sturdy, in particular the clamping mechanisms. This will not slide on the floor as you move the pedals. When I just had the CH Products pedals, they would slide all over the carpeted floor as I navigated a plane in X-Plane 10. Now they sit on top of the frame as indicated in the picture with the total weight of the frame and the friction factor of its feet keeping the rig in place. Many screw holes (about half ? Why not all?)) have a counter sunk effect in the metal for a clean effect. I really, really appreciate the great materials of construction, and the intelligent portions of the design. The clamps provide a death grip. Bravo! Cons. 1). I don't believe anyone at this company knows what a cockpit looks like. I believe most pilots would have chosen a different set of instruments almost entirely. Secondly, Saitek has made provisions to mount some of their products on top of their yoke. This company obviously doesn't know that or their marketing picture would show three/six guages on top of the yoke. 2). No useful instructions. 3). They refer you to youtube videos but not enough. Lots of screws and bars left over without any idea what to do with them. 4). They provide a clamping mechanism for the Saitek pedals, but this is inadequate for the CH Products pedals. In the USA, there are two primary suppliers of pedals and yokes; Saitek, and CH. I have the CH pedals. Thanks for nothing. I have to hope gravity and the friction factor are enough. 5). The bars for mounting the radios are not long enough. The radios have about 6-8 mounting screw holes, but only two will fit. Further, about 1/2 fo the radio is hanging out in the air. 6). The bars in 5 above are a flimsy affair. Saitek products can be mounted one on top of the other for perhaps a four level stack. Every one of these devices have to be touched and adjusted. I can see this stack just tearing apart after a few weeks. Again, it doesn't appear anyone at this company understood the stacking nature of Saitek products, nor understood that the flight instruments are handled by the pilot and as such there are torque scenarios impacting the mounting screws. 7). The throttle quadrant and trim wheel in many planes are not co-mounted with the instruments but rather are mounted in a center console design; not all planes but many. This company's design instead of co-mounting the above two instruments should have provided a center stand mount for each leaving the instrument platform for the instruments. Even providing an offset mount on the right side in front and down from the right-mounted instruments would have been a good idea. An equivalent mount on the left might have been aesthetically balancing for additional instruments. 8). Drilling screw holes. Ahhhhhh!!!!! Doesn't anyone at this company think before they grab a drill? Saitek is very standardized. They only have a handlful of flight instruments; yoke, guage, switchbox, radios. Their screw holes are known, standardized, and given. Absolutely nothing fits on the right mounting bar. The throttle quadrant just happens to line up with two screw holes. The elevator trim device does not mount because no holes match between the device, and the instrument mount Bottom Line: Buy this Stand. Your surprised. I know. The following is my rational. My goal is to fly in simulated flight using all my purchased Saitek simulation hardware; not to waiste MY time fixing everyone elses stupid stuff. I don't have any time for horse schyt. Second, what this company does well, they do really well. While I was writing this review I figured out my how to make all of this to work. 1). Lean and mean: Put the pedals on the base hoping gravity is your friend, put the Saitek yoke on the intended mount, and finally mount some collection of instruments on top of the yoke ONLY! In fact, mount the entire 6-pack suite of steam guages on top of the yoke. This will be a narrow, light, but vertically challenging layout. An alternative to this would be to have one of the dual band radios mounted on top of the yoke, and just three steam guages (altimeter, Attitude Indicator, Airspeed Indicator) mounted on top of this radio. 2).Utility table. Obtain an 18" by 30" table and mount/place everything else on this table. The table should be vertically adjustable. This can be located right on top of you so that everything is easily reached, plus you have a place for your cookies and milk. Problem solved: Buy the durn thing, get a table, and stop your whining ( or is that my whining?)
