Hi, this converter box worked so fast and easier to install than I thought!! And I’m bit of a techtard!!! I was super happy with the quality and results!!! It allowed me to keep my old, very large analog Toshiba TV and covert it to HDMI. It was fast and easy to install. The people at Spectrum told me that the new Xumo box would not work with an old tv. But I said what about a converter? They said “good luck with that.” They didn’t even know it was possible. Ps.. the picture quality and sound were great on my old TV which it’s 20 years old now. Also, when I received the converter they were nice enough to throw in a free 5v “plug in” to connected to a regular outlet. I used an extension cord so I could easily plug in both the converter and Xumo box for power. The setting I used on the converter was already set on NTSC and it was all ready to go. I’m super Happy with this purchase!! It made my favorite TV modern!!! I now can have access to Netflix, Hulu, and everything now!!! Thank you!!!

My husband had this hooked up to the old tv in his office shortly after it arrived. This is a really great product for those of you who don't want to invest in Smart tv like us. It works great & you can't beat the price. I'm grateful that I won't have to watch anymore of his war documentaries. LOL! Thank you, Amazon!!!

I've had an older Epson PowerLite 710c projector since 2001 that is no longer able to easily connect to modern computers. I came across this conversion kit and decided to give it a try, and it worked like a charm with a few necessary extras. The kit includes the HDMI-to-RCA converter and a USB-A cable to power the converter. The kit does not include an HDMI cable to connect to the computer, nor does it include a 5V power supply...those you will to purchase to complete the kit. Just be sure the 5V popwer supply outputs to a USB-A port. If the kit came with the needed extras, I'd have given it 5 stars. Overall, very pleased.

I got it to hook up an older tv to my cable box using the hdmi port. It worked absolutely perfect with good resolution until about the 5th day and then the sound stopped working. I've tested the cable box using a Radio Shack adapter from another tv to make sure there was not a problem with the sound and it worked fine. This seems to be a good product but I guess sometimes you buy things that just break far to soon. To bad Amazon does not have any more of the Radio Shack version of this adapter. I still need a adapter but have no idea which ones on the marker are better or worse. At least I can read the captioning I guess. *** UPDATE *** Ok, I waited another week before I contacted Amazon, mostly I'm accustom to various adapters/converters failing or not working the desired way but I still needed one or a perfectly good TV could never be used again. Amazon contacted me within 1 minute of me clicking "call me" (with the volume of business they do I thought that was pretty darn good). They sent me an email with instructions on contacting the 3rd party seller and the instruction were quite simple. Within 4 hours, that's right 4 hours, I received an email from the seller verifying my shipping address and today, 4 days after I filled the complaint I received a new replacement converter. It works perfectly as did the first one. Good resolution and sound. Anytime I receive excellent service (even if the product is questionable, after all electronic components sometimes just fail) I consider it a good experience. So many service departments have such poor records that I seldom bother. Dinger-US (the 3rd party seller) and Amazon are excellent. I highly recommend Dinger-US for their service department and this HDMI-AV converter.

Does exactly what is stated

I needed to connect an HDMI TV-'stick' to a video player which didn't have such an input. I got this and it works beautifully. I just plugged the video stick onto it and USB power to both the stick and the converter, then one video RCA connector and two for audio and I'm up and running. Just be sure when you order that you get the proper converter - some look identical but are meant to convert RCA to HDMI. These devices don't work in both directions; you have to get the right one for what you need. Recommended!

First of all got it get very late secondly it doesn’t work very well with firestick and my tv distorted picture and strong smell of rubber not worth money would not buy from seller again not enough instructions either

This device features a surprisingly capable down converter that can produce a nice looking NTSC composite video output from 1080p, 1080i, 720p, 480p. The converter even deals nicely with converting 59.94 rates to 25 for PAL. HOWEVER, when fed a 480i signal, it drops into "field" resolution mode. It still makes an NTSC compatible output, but with only half the image vertical resolution. In this one case, only half the lines of the input image are used (240i), then doubled to get back to 480i to make the NTSC output. This results in a really bad image with lots of jaggies, especially on diagonal lines. So, the odd thing about this device is that it produces bad quality when fed the very raster (480i) that it is trying to output as a composite signal. The same thing may happen with a 576i input if the device is switched to PAL, but I was not able to test that configuration.

Lo compre ya que aparentemente la TV que tenía fallaba con el puerto HDMI pero se pierde muchisima calidad de video en el conversor, entonces a mi no me sirvió pero quizá en otros casos sería optimo.
