I tried two of these but couldn't get either one to work with my eufy NVR

Works perfectly

Just got this and connector to my NVR S4. Installation was straight forward. Connected to the Eufy app with no problem. Connected the Doorbell and chime E340 to it. Bridges the wired NVR to your wireless Eufy cams. Its power by the USB-type C slot located behind the NVR. It Did a great job.

Not the best I think eufy rush this product

I already had an 8-channel eufy PoE NVR fully populated with eight wired PoE cameras and purchased this Wi-Fi module thinking it would allow me to expand beyond that by adding a couple of wireless cameras. What I eventually realized is that this module does not increase the total channel count of the NVR. It simply allows compatible Wi-Fi devices to use existing available channels on *the recorder.* In my case, all eight channels were already occupied, so there was nowhere for the additional Wi-Fi cameras to go. The hardware itself connected fine and the concept is actually useful, but the limitation was not obvious before purchase. The product works more like a bridge into the NVR ecosystem rather than an expansion module. This would probably work well for someone who still has unused camera channels available on their compatible NVR and wants to consolidate wired and wireless devices into one interface. Just make sure there is actual channel capacity remaining before buying it.

This Wi-Fi module is a useful add-on if you’re already using a eufy PoE NVR system and want to expand into a more unified setup. It allows you to bring WiFi cameras, video doorbells, and sensors into the same NVR environment, which simplifies monitoring and keeps everything centralized instead of split across multiple hubs. Setup is fairly straightforward within the eufy ecosystem, and once connected, it helps streamline how devices are managed and recorded. The ability to support a large number of cameras and sensors makes it a good option for scaling a home security system over time.

Able to pair most of my eufy cameras expanding my storage and taking load off of my homebase, great that you can pair sensors as well, seems to cover everywhere I need it to.

I connected this tiny Wi-Fi module to me NVR S4 which in in the attic. I had low hopes that the S350 indoor camera on the ground floor will even see this module as the Wi-Fi signal from first floor barely goes through the insulation. Despite having a mesh, the attic is a dead zone for Wi-Fi. To my surprise, the S350 connected and signal shows as "Great" in the app. Now it records on the NVR and even got some new smart features. Instructions are very poor, basically the QR code points to a page saying follow the instructions in the app, which are a miss. To connect the S350 (which was connected through house Wi-Fi already), you don't switch the Wi-Fi access point but just add that device again. What's confusing is that you first need to connect to house Wi-Fi, and after select the NVR. That will connect the camera directly to the NVR via the eufy Wi-Fi module. So far it works great and camera is very responsive. Can't wait for the S4 doorbell and outdoor lights now!

Das WLAN-Modul verspricht eine einfache Integration von Kameras in den NVR, die Realität sieht leider anders aus. Von „Plug & Play“ kann keine Rede sein: Erst nach einem kompletten Neustart des NVR-Systems wechselte die LED am angeschlossenen Modul überhaupt auf Blau (WLAN-Modus). Ich habe versucht, eine Eufy Indoor Cam E220 zu koppeln. Trotz aktueller System- und Kamera-Updates schlug jeder Versuch fehl. Während die Kamera sich problemlos in mein normales WLAN einbinden lässt, scheitert die Verbindung zum NVR konsequent. Das Modul blinkt zwar und scheint zu suchen, in der App kommt es jedoch dauerhaft zu einer Fehlermeldung, dass keine Verbindung hergestellt werden kann. Für mich aktuell unbrauchbar. Ich werde das Modul erst zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt erneut kaufen, wenn die Software ausgereift ist. Sehr schade, schwache Leistung von Eufy.

Works like a charm

Ich wollte meine Eufy S100 Kameralampen über den Adapter mit dem NVR verbinden, was laut dem Support auch funktionieren soll. Die Betonnung liegt auf soll. Nach diversen Anrufen und Mails geht gar nichts. Das fast 45 minutige Gespräch mit der Hotline hat außer App neu installiert, NVR zurückgesetzt nichts gebracht. Es funktioniert einfach nicht, außer das man mal wieder als Betatester unbezahlt herhalten darf. Ich hatte Während des Gesprächs eher den Eindruck das ich von Zeug mehr Ahnung habe wie er Hotline Mitarbeiter. Davon mal abgesehen sind die Bedienungsanleitungen ein Witz. Das sind mit wohlwollen Installationsanleitungen, die Bildreich zeigen, wie man ein USB-C Kabel in den Port steckt. Alles andere muss man sich selber erarbeiten. Ich hoffe inständig, das es anderen Konstellationen besser funktioniert. Für mich taugt das Teil nicht für einen Groschen und geht zurück.

Ich habe das Produkt im Rahmen des Amazon Vine-Programms erhalten und bewerte es unabhängig und objektiv. Der Artikel wurde zügig geliefert. Das eufy WLAN‑Modul (T8709) erweitert ein PoE‑NVR‑System sinnvoll um die Möglichkeit, auch Akku‑WLAN‑Kameras und Sensoren zentral zu verwalten. Die Einbindung gelingt unkompliziert per Plug‑and‑Play, und nach einem kurzen Update‑Vorgang steht das Modul stabil zur Verfügung. Besonders hilfreich ist, dass sich bis zu 16 Kameras und 32 Sensoren über ein einziges NVR steuern lassen – ein klarer Vorteil für größere Grundstücke oder komplexere Installationen. Die flexible Platzierung per Tisch- oder Wandmontage erleichtert es, eine gute WLAN‑Abdeckung zu erzielen. Positiv fällt zudem der einfache Wechsel bestehender Kameras von HomeBase 2 oder 3 auf das NVR auf, ohne erneutes Koppeln oder Zurücksetzen. Das spart in der Praxis Zeit und reduziert mögliche Fehlerquellen. Im Zusammenspiel mit dem eufy PoE NVR Security System E40 arbeitet das Modul zuverlässig und stabil. Voraussetzung ist allerdings, dass sowohl NVR als auch App die geforderten Firmware‑Versionen erfüllen. Grundsätzlich bietet das WLAN‑Modul eine sinnvolle, unkomplizierte und leistungsfähige Erweiterung für alle, die ihr eufy‑System zentralisieren und um WLAN‑Geräte ergänzen möchten. Kritik gibt es jedoch bei der Dokumentation: Die beiliegende Anleitung ist sehr knapp gehalten, auf Kameras bezogen und bietet nur wenige Informationen, und auf der eufy‑Webseite finden sich zum Modul kaum weiterführende Hinweise. Das sorgt gerade bei der ersten Einrichtung für Unsicherheit. Aufgrund dieser schwachen Dokumentation vergebe ich 4 Sterne.
