I plugged one of these in the same day it arrived; I was that eager to use them. Right off the bat, I noticed a few things. The socket I used has a history of being loose. I plugged my phone charger in with the plug lock installed. It works and is no longer loose. It charges my phone without slowing down. However I can no longer insert it completely. Part of the prongs are exposed. I don't like that. I unplugged the charger and tried a regular kitchen appliance. My mini waffle iron plugged in snugly. It heated up immediayely, no lag or issues. The lock kept it firmly in place. No more worries about it coming out or arcing. It can be difficult to unplug items with the lock in place. You have to give a firm pull, and sometimes the lock pops out along with the plug. Just be careful. I expect it to pop out, so I keep an eye on where it fell. Overall these are a great solution to a hazardous problem. There are enough locks to outfit all the plugs in my house. If I lose one, I have plenty of replacements. And the price is affordable enough to purchase more easily. They are easy to install (no instructions included, but they are in the listing description). This gives me peace of mind knowing my electrical outlets are safer.
