Chamberlain myQ Universal 2-Button Garage Door Remote Control

It was easy to pair to my garage app, no fidgeting with pins and codes on the devices! As long as you have the MyQ app setup, it pairs through the app on your cell phone.

Hard to match the garage door opener but mostly my lack of skill. Works fine. A bit Pricy.

Quality product. Good price, programming takes a couple attempts but works well once programmed.

I was excited to try this smart garage door remote, but it ended up being one of the most frustrating products I've purchased. I spent well over an hour trying to get it working, followed every instruction I could find, and never got it to pair successfully. The biggest problem is the setup process. Instead of including a proper instruction manual, the product relies almost entirely on scanning a QR code. Unfortunately, the QR code simply opened the app and then went nowhere from there. It never guided me through the setup process or explained what I was doing wrong. The troubleshooting information was also very limited and didn't address the issue I was experiencing. I work in technology, so I'm comfortable setting up electronics and troubleshooting software, but even I found this product unnecessarily complicated. If someone with technical experience struggles to get it working, I can only imagine how frustrating it would be for the average customer. I also attempted to pair it multiple times with my Chamberlain garage door opener. During the pairing process, the opener's lights flashed as if it was recognizing the signal, but the programming never completed. Afterward, pressing the programmed button produced absolutely no response from the garage door. I even erased and successfully reprogrammed my original remote without any issues, confirming that the opener itself was working perfectly. This new remote simply would not connect. To make matters worse, the unit I received appeared to have already been used. After contacting MyQ customer support, they were unable to provide a solution, which only added to the frustration. After more than ten pairing attempts by both myself and another family member, we finally gave up. At that point, it became clear that the time spent troubleshooting wasn't worth it. Overall, this product suffers from poor usability, an overly complicated setup process, limited documentation, and unreliable pairing. The idea of a smart garage remote is great, but the execution falls far short. I ended up returning it and going back to a traditional garage door remote, which worked immediately without any hassle. Unless the setup process and reliability are significantly improved, I can't recommend this product.

Inexpensive option for our new garage door -- works great, good value for the money. Easy to program.
