Comfy and durable

I have a pair of the 8 inch altama already and decided to get a pair of the low tops for better comfort for walking. They are a great pair of outdoor shoes. I have yet to get a pair completely submerged in water but i know they will dry quick.

Put the shoes on and they fit perfectly with little to no break in period. The shoes make a sandpaper noise if your feet rub together. Other than that my initial thoughts are I love them! Grip so far is a plus, and by far are lightweight.

Best shoes, period!

I will buy the mid also

I have pairs bought. 2 mid cut and one low cut. These shoes a flat. They are pretty much like barefoot shoes, but with better protection to your feet. The fabric is durable as well as the sole. The one upgrade I did were the elastic shoe laces, now fit like sock, snug but not constricting. I have been wearing them for more 3 years. Good for hiking, biking, water sports (SUP) even swimming. And the best of all it has resolved my plantar fasciitis. It worked for.

For the comfort and durability, I give it a 4 star, and missing a star because of the material used. PROS: these are lightweight, but durable enough to be a work boot. Very breathable. If your feet do get wet, these dry out extremely fast. Great for daily summer wear. CONS: The toes and soles are 3D printed, start to crack like plastic, and the grip on the soles breaks off after about a year of daily use. Not great in the winter. Will buy again.

Unfortunately this item is not made in the USA. The pair I received were made in Cambodia. I sent them back. I had a pair of Chuck Taylors that lasted me for years and years. It was the pair I purchased before converse offshored production. Since then I haven’t had a pair that lasted more than a year. It’s just not the same quality and despite how much we hear it is, it ain’t…. Altama, you should make mil spec shoes on US soil because care about defense department business and consumers getting true quality.
