The cable Apple ought to have made
When it comes to quality equipment I can be very fussy and always felt the standard 2m USB Type-C cable that ships with the Macbook Pro is rather inadequate. That is to be expected considering it is a USB 2.0 Type-C cable. So having previously purchased AmazonBasics cables I was quite confident that this would be no ordinary cable. And it isn't. It is a solid, durable, flexible and well made USB 3.1 Gen1 Type-C to Type-C cable that is worth a lot more than it is priced at. Each of the connectors is made in durable quality plastics with a thoughtful extension to ensure fraying at the edges doesn't occur. Being a USB 3.1 Gen1 cable it supports a much higher data transfer rate than standard USB 2.0 Type-C cables. Admitted that I've only been using it a day or so, but I see no reason why my opinion will change any time soon.So if you're in the market for a Type-C to Type-C cable that is better than the ones that OEM's give you, then look no further than this. Add to that the fact that Amazon will ship this to you in under 24hours if you're on Prime means it is absolutely fantastic.

Great quality, compatible with recent phones.
I bought this cable for my Pixel 2 XL.The cable is 6ft long, and is very sturdy.It's thicker than my OEM cable. I've attached a photo of OEM cable vs this product.The main thing is it supports fast charging on my phone, such requires the cable to be USB 3.1.Fully satisfied with the product.

Better than the original
At a price half of the original from Apple, this does the job well. As long as the original and charges as fast too. Where this is better is, this is significantly thicker and sturdier than the one that came with the Mac book.

Could have been better
This product is built very well (better than apple cable) and works with MacBook Pro. But if the MAC switches off, it takes almost 5 mins of charging for the mac to switch on, which is annoying. I wish I had spent a few hundred extra and gotten the original apple cable type-C charging cable.

It stopped working within a month
Extremely disappointed with this product. It is super expensive but will stop working within a month of purchase. Waste of money. This should honestly be considered fraud.

Surprisingly my pixel 6a device is recognized as USB 3.2 Gen 2
Speed is very good compared to usb 2.0 cable.In USB device tree viewer the device connection speed is shown as "Superspeed plus or higher" which is 10Gbps or greater. Which is surprising. I couldn't confirm the actual read/write speed due to unavailability of any software.Further, I found the USB tethering link speed for this cable to be 4.25Gbps.
