Good machine
I love my Cricut I bought it a few days ago, it’s easy to use. But Cricut just changed their policy. I don’t use their software to design, for me it’s just a connection between my design and the machine, well now we can only upload 20 images/per month or pay a $10 monthly subscription. So after I bought the Cricut I still need to pay $10/month If I want to use it. I made a sticker yesterday (I’m learning) I uploaded 5 images trying to work with it. If you are thinking about buying a Cricut, take that in mind, if you want to take advantage of it you have a $10 monthly subscription. It’s like buying a printer, and having a limit of the images we can print monthly?? EDIT: Cricut reversed their policy, so I have to change my rate.

HELP, machine is defective and Cricut doesn’t want to Help
Update: 07/21/2020 Cricut replaced my machine. Therefore I’m rating this 5 Stars like I said I would. Customer service responded back to my email, asking for more info (Video proof) to troubleshoot the issues and decide if it meets the prerequisites for warranty. Today, 07/21/2020 the new machine arrived and I did a couple test cuts. Everything works better than the first machine I had. -USB cable connects just fine without sending too much power to my MacBook. -The Belt is taught and fastened, meaning it’s not making that loud noise when loading the belt. I’m happy Cricut was able to resolve my situation and I’m ready to put this past me. Cause I just wanted to create stuff and now I can. AND at the very least, I know a lot about my machine, now that I had to troubleshoot myself about all the issues I had from the last machine. ________________________________________ I sent an EMAIL to Cricut about my issue and I called customer service which put me on hold for 2 HOURS 28 MINUTES, then they hung up on me. I tried calling back right away and was automatically hung up on. Please contact me ASAP. I spent so much money on this and I bought a lot of vinyls and other accessories for the Cricut maker. This Cricut Maker has many issues. I’ve troubleshooted and resolved most of the them, but there’s one big problem that still exist. AND Customer service is lacking in responding. Issue 1: Cricut USB cable is defected, it sends too much power from the cutter machine into my MacBook, rendering any other accessories I have plugged in, defective. This led to more issues with my Ethernet cable not working because it was all plugged in via USB hub or adapter. I FIXED this issue by using another USB cable I had laying around. Connectivity works perfectly now. Issue 2: Loud Belt when Loading a cricut Mat into the machine. The ATS (Adaptive Tool System) moves from right to left when I load a mat. The ATS meets the left wall, but doesn’t recognize it, and continues trying to move left causing the belt to make a loud noise. I’ve troubleshooted this issue and I’m pretty sure that the belt needs to be taught or fastened. (Which I’m not going to attempt to do, fearing that it will void the warranty and that it’s not my problem to fix on my own). Everything else works fine. Issue 3: The Lightgrip mat that came with the machine was warped (as you see in the video) this cause the machine to flash red lights, but I troubleshooted that issue and used a different mat that I purchased separately. If the ATS is in the middle of the machine, before I load the mat in. It will move from right to left like normal, BUT it will continue moving left and make that Loud noise longer because its’ starting point was closer to the left wall. IF you help resolve this issue and exchange this Cricut Maker for a new one, I will upgrade my ratings to 5 stars (As long as the new machine isn’t also defective)

It's Better than I expected
This machine is a little beast - as in it's a heavy unit. I soon discovered there are several things I will need to purchase to do more things. I'm not super impressed with the cutting of fabric, however, I can make really clean patterns and cut my own. Paper cutting is so sharp, the only thing that would be better is probably laser cut paper. So far, I like using it when I have time between sewing masks and doing other stuff to keep the money trickling in. Solid piece of machine. (Wish I could have got a different color too - but rose was the only one available. Maybe I'll get some vinyl later and cut a new piece to cover the rose pink lid.)

You can make anything!
This was a gift from my husband and it's perfect! I love the fact that you can cut fabric with it (with the included rotatery blade!) as well as other materials beside the expected paper and card stock. You do need a different blade for cutting heavy items, such as leather and balsa wood. I am planning on order a scoring housing first though (it's also rotary) as well as some of the markers. I comes with one marker (black) and it works great. You also get materials to make your first project, a cute card, that the online site walks you through. There are also tons of videos available to learn from.

What a great machine
I have had this maker for about a month now. I have to say that I am very impressed with what I have done so far. I bought many different blades and housings so that I can experiment with all different materials. So far I have cut a lot of vinyl stickers and I've also engraved into aluminum. There is a lot more to explore and I'm only getting started. If you're into making signs, stickers, labels, and all of the above this is the machine for you. Well worth the money as far as I'm concerned.

Awesome
This was my first Cricut! I had NO idea there was a bit of a learning curve (I am pretty computer savvy, but am new to design software). I suggest looking at Youtube video's learning how to use the Design Studio program that accompanies this machine. I love how it can cut felt!! At first I did not purchase the Cricut Access subscription, but after buying a few fonts and pictures it is actually cheaper to just get the subscription, so consider that. Also, I bought too many tools before really knowing what they were for. I suggest just getting a weeder, a standard grip mat when you are first starting and then buy as you need things (the package comes with a fabric mat and light grip mat). The Cricut maker has BLUETOOTH and was so easy to set up! This is also a purchase which will unleash your inner creativity! I love it so much. I only wish I had more time (and unlimited funds for paper, felt, etc)!

Great versatile machine!
I love this machine. I’m a crafting hobbyist lol I knit, crochet, sew, paint, calligraphy and the list goes on. I use this machine the most because it can do some of these things for me. I have cut out pattern pieces for a felt project I have been putting off, made removable vinyl decals for my kids’ rooms, t shirts for friends, leather accents for necklaces, a Father’s Day card and a lot more. I have only had this machine for probably 2 months and I’ve used it far more than any of my other crafting supplies. If you’re on the fence about buying this machine, do it lol it can be intimidating at first because it can assist with so many projects but my best advice is to pick one specialty to practice using the machine - for instance card making. Make a variety of designs and cards and then branch into other uses like vinyl t-shirts or vinyl for custom signs or wall art.

Works great
I’m new to cricut, but love this machine! I love that it cuts your patterns for you if you’re in to sewing. At first this machine did not want to cut my vinyl, but I found that you have to power it off and then back on in order for it to start cutting properly. With lots of practice since purchasing it’s working exactly as intended. If you don’t care about cutting patterns then I would suggest the explore air 2.
