for iPhone Xs Max (Case (6.5 inch) with Screen Protector, Black

I use to purchase Otterbox for many years but over time they went from a decent price to plum crazy and then they started removing the front protection screen so I had to find a better product and this my friend is it! Front protection covers, firm rubber case that does NOT stretch out like the overpriced Otterbox does. Extremely easy to put phone in and take out and drop proof. How do I know this, because I've dropped my iPhone X Max literally hundreds of times and it STILL looks brand new with ZERO cracks or scratches! These are the best cases for cell phones and pads that I have ever found. I swear by them. Extremely Highly Recommend!

Trust me when I say “This is the toughest case money can buy and they are built to last”!!! I have owned this case since November 2018 and haven’t been disappointed. I have dropped,thrown,stepped on,kicked and sat on this case more times than I can keep track of with no damage to my phone. Have owned Lifeproof, Otterbox Defender and Pelican cases and this is still the toughest one. Easy to install and remove. Isn’t that thick considering the amount of protection it offers. Includes a belt clip, which I have used every single day and have also done no damage to it even after almost four months of abuse. The built in kick stand on the case is also designed very well and stays clicked into place when in use but will close if the phone is dropped to prevent damage! The built in screen protector is great, but if you prefer to use your own protector simply use a hair dryer to heat up the glue that holds the protector on the front side of the case and gently remove it. I will be ordering one of these in every color for my XS Max so I can mix up the colors and keep things interesting. I really like the unicorn beetle brand. I've bought them for my previous phones and they have all survived and protected my phones. I usually swap phones every 1.5-2 years and that's how long I keep my cases. These cases have lasted and only have minor scratches. I will keep buying this brand as long as the quality remains the same. Who is this case for? It's for people who value protection over looks. I personally think the case looks nice and low profile. It's not flashy and it's a nice matte black. It is somewhat bulky compared to other cases. I, however, value protection over a sleek case that lacks that. So if you want to show the world you have an iPhone, this case isn't for you. If you want to live without worrying about cracking your phone, this is the case for you. I've dropped my phone about 4 times from waist height and so far nothing has cracked. Also, I'm using a screen protector and I had no issues. I'm not using a tempered glass screen protector. I'm using one of those films that is "wet" applied, not exactly sure what the official name is.

Update the wireless charging stand from beststand came. Zero issues with this case. So I’m willing to bet that the previous stand I was using just didn’t place the coils well in the Qi charging pad. Works out well for me since I like the design of the beststand one more. I’m leaving my issues with qi charging in this review though as it’s still something you should be aware of. If your stand has a rubber pad on the bottom it may lift the this case and phone above where it’d need to be to charge. Usually you can peel up that kind of padding. Obviously try charging before you do anything. Pros: affordable (especially compared to Otterbox who really seem to just be coasting on their name). Tough this feels like it could take a good number of falls from a reasonable height and survive while protecting my iPhone XS Max. Not slick the edges are a rubber material perhaps TPU which keeps the case from feeling like it’s going to slip out of my hand. Screen lip good amount of lift above the screen. Won’t stop most rocks from hitting the screen on a face first hit but small pebbles should not be an issue. And really no case is going to have a lip big enough to stop a rock from hitting the screen in a face first fall it’d be impractical. Unobtrusive branding- I don’t know about you but I hate when products scream their brand name and make it impossible not to notice. I’m not buying advertising space for the company. Obviously some branding is going to happen, but in the case of this product it’s in the form of a small subtle ‘SUPCASE’ on the lower right side it’s small and on the black case it’s black glossy text against a black matte finish. Holding it st arms length and looking directly at it it’s sort of readable but not really. And then UB Pro on the back on the kickstand, you can see this in the photos by supcase. Secure- a fall is not going to knock the iPhone out of this case. I’m pretty sure the case would have to break before your phone will go anywhere. And as noted earlier that’s not going to happen in normal usage at least not easily. The cons The screen protector- it’s a thin film of plastic with fairly obvious cut outs for the front camera, depth camera, and ambient light sensor. I didn’t notice the discoloration others have reported nor the bubbles. However it didn’t feel like it would absorb much of an impact. I’m honestly surprised Subcase even bothered with this and that in doing so they didn’t make it tempered glass. I ended up taking the plastic out which was not easy (I had to use a lit match to melt bits off the sides) your experience may vary as I’ve seen people remove it entirely with minimal issue. I replaced it with a screen protector from TOZO which is the only one I found that works with this case and doesn’t get pushed up. It’s not 100% coverage but the exposed bit of screen is barely big enough for a fingernail. It’s hard to even tell I have it on. Wireless/Qi charging works however you may need to fiddle with it if you’re using a stand. I’ve got a 3 in 1 from senzle which works but only after I removed the little padding on the base of the stand which is meant to keep your iPhone stable. This case adds enough weight and surface area on the bottom that it’s not going to fall over if it’s leaning against the Qi charging pad. That said I’ve got a different stand from bestcase coming in two days. I just like the overall look of it more. I’ll update this review with my experience with that wireless charger. The lightning port and the sound on/off switch are kind of annoying. I guess they protect against dust getting in there but it comes with the cost of making it a chore to turn on or off sound and stands with built in plugs will likely have issues because of how much depth is added to the bottom of the phone with this case. The sound thing is less of an issue for me since I typically keep my phone on silent. But the lightning port cover is why I started looking into wireless charging. Overall I’m happy with this case. There are areas of improvement but overall it feels good.

I have (for many years) had Iphones and always used Otterbox Defenders to protect them. Three things kept me returning to the Defender. 1/ The holster 2/ The screen protection 3/ The overall protection. I work in varied conditions and the fact that I could clip the phone to my belt and be assured it was protected from whatever was thrown at it kept me coming back. My problem was always that Defender cases are overpriced (in my mind) but I kept with them. This past November I was forced in a hurry to upgrade my phone to the Iphone Xs Max and was horrified to find that the Defender no longer came with screen protection but of course they wanted to charge the same price. So I lumped out the cash with a mental grumble and also bought tempered glass protectors from Amazon. Now the new Iphones have been released and I promised my 16 year old son an upgrade from his Iphone 7+ so not wanting to "Stand and Deliver" for another Defender I looked through Amazon for another case so that when I bought his I would have a case standing by and I came across this. Holster...check.....integral screen protector....check.....good reviews...check... As a test I bought one for my Xs max on the basis that I could check it out and if good get one for my son. We are a week or two out from getting his new phone but when we go...... He will have one of these cases to put the phone into before he leaves the store. I can't recommend it any higher than that! The screen protector has a tendency to get a little dirtier than the Defender but I have total confidence that this will offer as much protection for our phones at around 1/3 of the price. I get a bonus of this looking a little more up to date (stylistically) than the Defender and a bonus kickstand (which I've used more often than I would have thought. Looking for a case to protect your valuable investment..... Don't hesitate get this one!

After if trying numerous cases so I can charge my iPhone XS Max wirelessly, THIS ONE FINALLY did the trick!!! The belt holster is also sturdy and substantial. You know when the phone is clipped to it, and it unclips relatively easily. It took a little persuasion to separate the case halves to insert the phone initially. I thought I was going to break it. But, once I had it back together, it fits like a glove. I have a mixed opinion about the clear plastic face. My phone already had a Zagg InvisibleShield on it, which protects my phone’s screen, so the plastic face on the case is redundant. It also scratches easy. I’ve read other reviews where people have removed it, but I am not to that point yet. I have only had the case a couple weeks, so can’t really comment on it’s durability. Will update my review if problems arise!

This case is very durable and keeps your iPhone safe. Touchscreen works as if nothing is in between you and your screen. My first case lasted a little over 2 years before the small tabs on the stand pop out broke. I don’t think there is much that could be done about this unless Supcase had a steel rod through the top of the stand instead. I’ve dropped this phone several times on hard surfaces and it even hit on the phones corners without any phone damage. The charging port cover is cumbersome to hold out of the way when trying to insert the lightning cable plus I don’t like the stress it applies to the cable/port once the cable is installed. I cut that cover tab off mine.

UPDATE: Look for another product, the stand breaks too easily. It's still a solid case so I'm downgrading my review to 3/5 instead of 5/5. I originally purchased this in November 2018 and then because of the broken stand issue purchased a replacement in Nov 2019. Now this replacement stand has broken. One side of the stand broke back in April and the other side broke last week. I am careful when I pop out the stand and place it down on a surface but it seems the stands break too easily on this unit. I've just a different case that has a full lever style stand instead of 2 small plastic knobs that are easy to break. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I purchased this case for my XS Max exactly one year ago today and now I'm buying it again. In the last 12 months I have probably dropped my phone about 8-10 times from counter tops onto hard floor surfaces and also while I'm wandering around with work, falling out of my pocket and onto the road/pavement etc. I just removed the case for the first time and there's not a single scratch on my phone. See the photos that I just took of my phone, not a mark on them. This case is bulky but it is a rugged design so you have to expect that. The cover did scratch up quite easily and early on but I think I threw the phone in my gym bag with some keys and that probably did it. There's other reviewers complaining about the case scratching their phone when they remove the case, make sure you don't use a sharp object when removing because you don't need to. Just use your fingers. The reason I'm buying it again is because the stand not longer works. While this is irritating, I have probably pulled the stand out and used it almost every day and general wear and tear will eventually break everything down. The little notches on the stand that keep it locked in place broke off. The first one went about 3 months ago and the other went last week. See attached photo where the notch is supposed to be. This thing has saved my $1000 phone on multiple occasions so I don't mind buying it again.

I really rely on this case to protect my phone. I have an iPhone XS Max which cost me almost $2K so I paid more for a solid and reliable case to cover this investment. This is actually my second case as I wore through the first one over the course of 5 or 6 years. It served me well enough that I figured I'd buy the same case again. There is hard plastic pretty much encasing the entire phone and the plastic cover protects the screen. It works well and I have accidentally dropped the phone a few times and each time the phone has been fine. It also has a kick stand that comes in handy often. The sturdiness does require some bulkiness so it barely fits into my pant pockets but that's the tradeoff understandably.

Absolutely tough case. The iPhone now seems to be able to handle everything that you can throw at it. The stand is also cleverly designed to ensure that you can position the case vertically and horizontally!

Good quality. Nice looking and real rugged design. Works with my wireless charger too.
