If you are new to making dovetails or need to produce a decent number this gauge works well. It is well made, gives a decent number of options for joint size and helps consistency. Good value for money. I use this a lot and it is a real help.

This all metal dovetail marker has edges that are crisply cut, but not sharp or burred and it feels safe in the hand. It also has clear measurement markings to each side and it has a decent weight to it, circa 100g. I have seen cheaper versions of dovetail markers, but given the build quality of this product I feel I have made the correct choice in purchasing this one. I am looking forward to using it and trust that it will see good use for a long time. It was well packaged and delivered quickly. Thank you.

Its a great idea but it would be bet if they came in different sizes, other than that worth buying if you need these cuts everyday

I find this to be ideal for its job. At a reasonable price too. Absolutely no complaints!

Don't believe the scare tactics of rivals. This is solid and well made. The marker is 1 single piece bolted onto the brass stopper. It was a wee bit grubby (being brass and having come from China I wouldn't expect it to be sparkling) but it polished right up. Pleased I went for this one.

Arrived on time and looks like it will be okay for marking out proscribed sizes of dovetails but was not set square. I had to undo the Allen key-headed machine screws and resquare the brass piece, so the dovetails will lay square. If I hadn't done this, they wouldn't have matched on the opposing piece. It arrived approximately 2mm out. The screws were very tight so not caused by transit.

It’s just what it looks like. Has good weight and sits on your end piece nicely. I’ve only had it a week and used it a few times but I like it so far.

This is a very simple , but well made dovetail reference. It saves time and is virtually indestructible with even an ounce of care. I will be using mine most likely for the rest of my life.
