Has the problem tearing the battery coverings been solved?

I have 3 of these holders. 2 holders for 12 batteries and 1 that holds 6 batteries. Never have had any problems with marked up batteries

Does this product fit the AA Goal Zero Rechargeable batteries?

If those are the eneloop sanyo rechargeables yes the ones made for AA and AAA fit them as i have regular AA and AAA batteries and the eneloop sanyo rechargeables in them.

Can different sized caddies be attached to each other (e.g. aa + aaa)?

The caddies I bought cannot be attached to each other. You buy one that hold 4 or 6 or 12. I bought the one that hold 12 batteries.
