Yes if the load is less than 2 kw

No - works on AC only. this is voltage regulator. You can regulate this voltage and supply to a transformer -which in turn you can have reduced voltage for a DC converter.

Can i use to control speed of 1050 W wood cutting machine ?

The product u purchased should specify the range for this. In my opinion, it should as the description says 2000 w scr voltage regulator. I have used it to regulate angle grinder. Please be cautious. Continued and prolonged usage can damage the motor.
